How To Fix Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Error -- Windows 7/8/10
Answer

Hi Ron,

To help you suggest more steps to resolve the issue, I would appreciate it if you could answer the following question:

Have you made any recent hardware or software changes to your computer prior to the issue?

Please follow the methods and check the issue:

Method 1: If the issue is caused due to missing Visual C++ libraries, you may download and install the Runtime components of Visual C++ libraries from the link below:

You can uninstall any existing Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Package and install the latest Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Package to check if it helps.

Step 1: To uninstall the package:

a.       Open Programs and Features.

b.      From the list, find Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Package and click on it.

c.       Click Uninstall at the top of the list.

Step 2: Download and install the latest package to see if it helps.

Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Package (x64)

sprers.eu?id=

Note: Install anyone as per the Operating System installed on your computer.

Method 2: I would suggest you to perform clean boot and check if the issue still persists.

Place the computer in a clean boot state and then check if it helps. You can start Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This kind of startup is known as a "clean boot." A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

Note: Follow the section “More information” to reset the computer to start as usual after troubleshooting with clean boot.

Hope this helps. For any further Windows related assistance, feel free to contact us and we will be happy to help.

Visual C++ runtime error when installing Acrobat XI or Acrobat on Windows

On bit systems, the Acrobat XI or Acrobat installer tries to install the Microsoft Visual C++ (x64) runtime if it doesn't find it on the system. If the installation of this runtime fails, the following warning message appears in the installation complete screen:

Acrobat XI: “Warning! Installation of Microsoft Visual C++ SP1 (x64) runtime failed due to error <code>. Without it, some application functionality doesn't work. For details“

Acrobat: “Warning! Installation of Microsoft Visual C++ (x64) runtime failed due to error <code>. Without it, some application functionality doesn't work. For details“

If the Microsoft Visual C++ (x64) runtime is not available or installed, the following problems occur:

  • The Acrobat PDF Creation add-on for Microsoft Office bit applications (such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) does not appear.
  • Acrobat cannot send emails or resolve addresses via bit Microsoft Outlook.

The Microsoft Visual C++ runtime library error randomly appeared on your screen. You get a notification like: “This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it unusually. Please get in touch with the application support team for more information.”

  • Microsoft Visual C++ runtime error library! Explorer.exe

Hello. This issue has recently become a major problem. (A little) I know the cause of the problem; However, I'm not % sure of it. I get this error every time I have name a folder symbol (tested with- ~,!, and @), then try to right-click or rename the folder. It's the exact error message I receive:

    Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library

    Runtime error!

    Program: C:\Windows\sprers.eu

This application has requested the execution to terminate in an unusual way. For more information, contact the application support team.

Although this error message on my screen, explore continues to work very well; However, as soon as I click 'OK' or try to X out the window, sprers.eu stops and restarts. I saw several other users showing similar problems with sprers.eu crashing on a right click on the files, so I tried to follow some of the steps they did to solve my problem. The majority of the questions that I looked through suggested the deletion/modification of certain registry entries. I followed all the steps and changed the various inputs with no luck.

After looking through all the possible solutions for sprers.eu crashing on a right click, I migrated in search of solutions for "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library error sprers.eu" I found few who have had a similar problem and received this error on click with the right button on the files, but my question was still a little different. This problem does not affect all my folders or a specific file. This problem affects any folder with the name of a symbol.

I currently have a folder on my desktop named "-" (without the quotes) with most of the files on my computer inside. I just want to rename the folder without having to go through a lot of trouble. Rename the folder via CMD is not a solution. I get the "Access denied" message even if I run sprers.eu as administrator. Visual c+ + runtime error win7 then started looking for ways to workaround for this lack of access and found a few useless solutions. The first solution I found suggested that I have change permissions for the folder. This was not helpful, because it was a right click on the file (out of, I can't do). Another solution suggested to start the computer in safe mode and rename it from there. It also did not work, I still received the error "access denied."

I'm kind of at a loss on what to do now. Here is a list of all the things I've tried, so please do not re - suggest what I've tried:

    • Restart the computer
    • Changing various registry files
    • Reinstallation of Microsoft Visual C++ (14 versions I had)
    • Try renaming the file via the command prompt (w / run as administrator)
    • Try renaming the file via the Safe Mode command prompt
    • Scan my computer with antivirus () software

There are probably a few more things I have tried and I forgot to include. This problem is happening for over a year now, so I had time to try a large number of possible solutions. I still have to find another person with exactly the same problem as me (the problem does not occur on files named a symbol). I do not plan to try to try reinstalling windows (/ create a restoration/image/etc.) I have quite simply do not have the time and should not have to reinstall my entire operating system to solve a stupid question. If it comes down to it, visual c+ + runtime error win7, I'll just create another folder and move all my folder name "-" to the new. The only reason why I was stay to do this, is that the record is more than GB. I believe there is a solution more simple I am just missing.

Sorry, this message is rather unorganized. I am very frustrated by this issue and find a solution fairly quickly.

Thanks in advance for the advice I received help.
