Error codes for car radio.

In this article we will try to answer the questions:

    What is a complex fault?

    How can error codes help repair car radios?

In the practice of repairing car radios, there are not rare cases when, to restore the operation of the car radio, you need to find and eliminate not one specific malfunction, but several. It is good if the breakdowns are not interconnected or relate to different electronic components of the car radio (for example: no sound - the amplifier microcircuit is faulty; there is no disk reading - the lens of the laser reader is dirty).

And if both faults are in the CD drive? With such malfunctions, the diagnosis and repair process becomes more difficult, since, having eliminated one malfunction, we immediately encounter the manifestation of another. There are several reasons for this malfunction. difficult.

The Pioneer car radio hit the repair table due to a lack of reading from the CD.

During an external examination, it was noticed that when you press the disk eject button, the disk ejection process is slow. Strong pollution of the car radio with dust was also seen.

It is no secret that in case of severe contamination, optics first of all suffer - the surface of the lens of the laser reader is covered with fine dust and this interferes with the focusing of the laser beam on the surface of the compact disc. There may be malfunctions during playback (the sound “hiccups”), malfunctions during the initial loading of the disc (“NO DISK”, “Error”), a long search for a record when switching to another song. Do not forget that the cause of such a malfunction can be not only the contamination of the optics, but also the degradation of the laser diode in the optical unit.

In case of any malfunctions, the radio will display an error code on the display. Knowing the decryption of the error code, you can more quickly  find the faulty node and do not waste time on diagnostics. So, for example, in the car in question radio Pioneer  DEH-P3500MP, when turning on and loading a disc, the inscription “ERROR-11” appeared on the display. At the same time, there was a promotion of the disk - meaning the spindle motor is in order.

ERROR-11

If you refer to the service documentation for this model of radio, then the code “ERROR-11” stands for: - No beam focusing. Well, here everything is quite simple, as already mentioned, a violation of the beam focusing is associated with pollution of the car radio by dust.

In this case, full cleaning of all mechanical parts of the car radio and its body may be required. Cleaning the lens of the laser reader is made difficult by the need to disassemble the CD mechanism and remove the laser reader from it. Read how to disassemble the CD-mechanism and (another type of drive).

After the laser unit is cleaned from dust, the operation of the car radio can be fully restored. But we are considering a complex malfunction.

Upon further checking the operation of the car radio on several MP3 discs, it turned out that when switching to several songs forward or backward, a malfunction occurs. After a long and unsuccessful search for the desired track, the ominous inscription “ERROR-30” appeared on the car radio display.

ERROR-30

Also during playback of the recording from the disc, errors were observed (“stuttering” or “croaking”), and sometimes, immediately after loading the MP3 disc, the mysterious inscription “NO AUDIO” appeared.

Compact discs with conventional encoding (Compact Disc Digital Audio) played more or less normally and without failures. It is known that with conventional recording (Compact Disc Digital Audio) without compaction, as, for example, in MP3, the error correction and correction system is easier to recover read data with poor reading from the disk.

In this case, we can make an erroneous conclusion that the laser optical unit is defective (degradation of the laser diode), and it must be replaced with a new one. But there are pitfalls here. Recall what errors the car radio gave us, and take a look at the service documentation.

From the service manual for the Pioneer DEH-P3500MP car radio, we find out that the error code “ERROR-30” stands for: - Search time exceeded. And if you think logically, you can come to the conclusion that some engine of the CD drive is faulty.

It turned out that the cause of the “ERROR-30” error in this case was the positioning engine of the laser reader. It was he who gave out low revs, which led to crashes when playing and switching to another track. Recall that the process of loading a disk was slower than usual. If you consider that this type of CD drive has a design where 2 motors are used and the positioning engine still performs the function of loading the disc into the CD drive, it becomes clear that the reason is precisely in the positioning engine.

After replacing the positioning motor (marking FF-050SB-11170; D / V9.0) with a similar motor with the marking (FF-050SB-13130; D / V5.9), the malfunction completely disappeared, and there were no failures during the verification.

Laser Reader Positioning Engine

It is also worth paying attention to the fact that when loading some MP3 discs, the Pioneer DEH-P3500MP car radio displays an error code “ERROR-23” ( Invalid data format) and recording from the disc does not play.

ERROR-23

The reason is that the recording format of this MP3 disc does not comply with the specification of ISO9660 Level1, Level2. The car radio gives an error and refuses to read the disk. Unfortunately, there is nothing to be done, as the processor decoding the recording does not support this recording format.

So, with an example, we examined the elimination of a complex malfunction in a Pioneer car radio. At the same time, the causes of errors were eliminated in turn:

    “ERROR-11” - severe pollution of the optical unit with dust (eliminated by cleaning the lens);

    “ERROR-30” - malfunction of the positioning motor and loading / unloading disk (fixed by replacing the positioning motor).

Both malfunctions are associated with the operation of the CD mechanism and this introduces confusion and leads to an erroneous judgment on the causes of the malfunction.

The interior of each vehicle is equipped with radio tape recorders. The motorist himself is interested in the fact that the car radio is not only present, but also always in working condition. How motorists are upset, once faced with a problem when the Pioneer radio tape recorder no longer reads a flash drive. Drivers do not want to agree with this and ride in absolute silence, therefore they try to figure out what error 23 is on the Pioneer radio tape recorder, a flash drive refuses to play music files when it occurs.

When using a flash drive on a Pioneer radio, an error 23 may occur.

Musical accompaniment increases the level of comfort when moving. The trip becomes fascinating and inconspicuous. Drivers can not only listen to their favorite tunes, but also receive useful portions of news information. Modern radios can play music files from an optical disc or from a flash drive. Thanks to this, motorists can independently create music albums for themselves, as well as change them as such a desire arises.

Causes and solutions

The reasons why the radio can be silent, there are a great many. Of course, if this is mechanical damage, a hardware failure, not everyone can fix the problem on their own. In these situations, you have to seek help from service centers.

Along with this, such variants of problems may arise that can easily be eliminated if only a preliminary study of the mass of useful sources of information. First of all, it is very important to read all the recommendations contained in the operating instructions for the sound reproducing device.

The most common problem, due to which the music cannot be played, is “Error 23” on the Pioneer radio, while the flash drive is not readable. What to do in such a situation, how to prevent the occurrence of such a problem in the future, it is important to understand immediately.

Causes

A flash drive may stop listening and reading if “uninvited guests” infiltrate it. To identify them and subsequently say goodbye to them, users recommend inserting a removable drive into the USB port of the computer. After that, the USB flash drive will definitely appear as removable drive, and it will be possible to scan it with an antivirus program. If your antivirus software is extremely rarely updated, it may not cope with the elimination of all viruses. In this case, it is useful to pre-update the anti-virus databases, only then scan the removable media. You can use the online resources of antivirus programs.

ATTENTION. If the flash drive turned out to be clean, there are no viruses on it, you can continue to look for problems in another direction.

On the Internet, from where audio files are most often downloaded and recorded, music can be presented in any format. Before recording music files to a USB flash drive, it is important to make sure that this format will be successfully read by your radio. In most cases, files with the MP3 extension are easily played. When uploading another format of the audio file, you should not hastily record it on removable media. You can pre-reformat it, then the error 23 associated with the failure of the flash drive on the Pioneer radio tape recorder can be eliminated or prevented.

Such a banal reason as incorrect recording of the file name can also affect the refusal to play music. In particular, some recorders are able to respond only to the Cyrillic alphabet, while others, on the contrary, to the Latin alphabet. In this case, it is useful to pay attention to what kind of music is being played, and then, by analogy, renaming those files that could not be started for playback.

It does not interfere with the owner of the car radio to examine the reproducing device itself and the USB flash drive. Often the cause is mechanical damage, malfunction of the connector. It is better to delegate such technical malfunctions to those who have sufficient experience in repairing such devices.

If the Pioneer radio does not read the flash drive, “Error 23” appears, pay attention to the volume of the removable drive. In most cases, car radios are ready to “cooperate” only with storage devices, the volume of which does not exceed 4 GB. If you have a more advanced version available, you should not be upset, you can apply some tricks by breaking the drive into sectors, then your “cool” flash drive will be successfully adapted to the radio.

IMPORTANT. The problem may also be that you did not format the removable drive in the format that the car radio can display.

Formatting a removable drive

The latest generation of flash drives are accompanied by the NTFS format. Unfortunately, car radios cannot recognize this format, as they focus only on FAT16 and FAT32. Even such a banal format mismatch can provoke an error 23.

Fortunately, solving such a problem is quite simple. To do this, you just need to format the removable drive using computer technology.

The USB flash drive must be inserted into the USB-connector, after its display in the "Computer" dialog box, right-click on it. In the menu that opens, go to the "Format" parameter.

After opening the formatting window, it is important to make the desired changes. In particular, set the format to FAT16 or FAT32. Of course, such a process not only transfers the removable drive to a different format, but also completely cleans it, deleting all the files that were stored on it before the start of the formatting process.

TIP. Given this, it is important to first transfer to the computer those files that you will be painfully losing and all the more difficult to recover.

In the line “Cluster size” it is best to select the option “Standard cluster size”, then click on the “Start” button. The utility will warn you that all files will be lost, accept this warning and confirm the continuation of its actions. After a short period of time, a new window appears on the screen with the inscription "Formatting is completed."

Now, on such a prepared flash drive, you should record the music files in the correct format, then insert the removable drive into the USB port of the car radio and enjoy the wonderful sound of the music.

So, the process of fixing error 23 is not so complicated. Enough to study carefully useful recommendations, perform consistently recommended actions and enjoy the excellent result to which it was you who made your own efforts.

Any technique, even the best, at some point can let the owner down. Radio Pioneer in this sense is no exception. Even in this device from a well-known manufacturer, annoying errors periodically occur that can confuse even an experienced motorist. What are these errors and why do they arise? Can I fix them myself? We will talk about the elimination of typical errors with flash drives of type 23 and 19 on the Pioneer.

A list of the most famous errors of the Pioneer radio and methods for resolving them

Most often, problems arise with USB drives. Let's start with them.

CHECK USB Error

CHECK USB appears on the display of the radio when it refuses to read a USB flash drive or some other drive (for example, a portable hDD) This message indicates a power failure in the USB device. Failure can occur either due to the incompatibility of this drive with the radio, or due to a short circuit in the connector itself.

  • first, carefully inspect the USB port on the radio. Perhaps dirt or some foreign object fell into it, which caused a circuit;
  • if there is no short circuit, you should pay attention to the amount of current consumed by the USB drive (this figure can be found in the instructions for the device). The fact is that some USB flash drives require a current slightly above 500 mA for normal operation, while the radio is designed for exactly 500 mA, which leads to the appearance of a CHECK USB error. There is only one way out: replace the USB flash drive, after specifying the amount of current consumed;

ERROR 23 with a flash drive

If an error 23 occurs, the user sees on the display of the radio the inscription ERROR-23. This happens immediately after installing the USB flash drive in the USB port of the radio. The error means that the file system in which the flash drive is formatted is not compatible with this radio. That is, if the drive was formatted in an outdated FAT32 system (or even FAT16), an error is guaranteed to appear.

Solution: format the USB flash drive to nTFS systemsupported by all Pioneer receivers.

Troubleshooting 19

On the display, this error is displayed as ERROR-19. It can occur either due to incorrect formatting of the drive, or due to the storage of files on it with extensions other than .mp3 (such as .doc, .exe, .txt, .pdf, .com). MP3 files can also cause errors if they are stored in multiple folders with high level  nesting and an abundance of Cyrillic characters in the names.

  • delete from the flash drive all extraneous files except mp3. If mp3-files are “scattered” into many folders - organize their structure by placing them in 3-4 new folders, and the names of these folders must be written in Latin letters;
  • if this does not help, you should insert the USB flash drive into the computer and check it for viruses. As a rule, viruses do not harm the radio, but often copy to a USB flash drive executablesthat the standard Windows file manager “doesn’t see”, but the radio tape recorder “sees” perfectly;
  • if antivirus program  for some reason, could not cope with the removal of the viruses found, there is only one thing left: full formatting of the drive in the NTFS system, as shown above;

ERROR 11

There are two problems due to which the message ERROR-11 appears on the display. Either the CD inserted into the radio tape recorder is seriously scratched or covered with dirt, or there is some kind of mechanical malfunction in the radio tape recorder (the CD drive of the radio tape recorder most often fails).

  • remove the disc and gently wipe it with a piece of soft cloth;
  • clean the drive lens with a special cleaning disc;
  • if it doesn’t help, there is only one solution: contact the nearest Pioneer service center;

Power failure 10 on car radio

ERROR-10 error notification means either a power failure in the Bluetooth module, or some other electrical malfunction (but in practice, the source of trouble, as a rule, is Bluetooth). This error has nothing to do with storage media.

  • the ignition key of the machine is set to the OFF position, after which it is transferred to either the ACC or ON position. The power source at the same time switches to some other device, and then again to the radio;
  • if these actions did not bring results, you must contact the service center;

Amplifier error

If there are problems with the amplifier in the car, the sound suddenly disappears (usually this happens during the playback of the track), after which the driver sees ERROR-AMP on the display. The inscription says that everything is in order with the radio and the disc and the reason must be sought elsewhere. Most often, the source of the error is damaged, shorted, or simply loose wiring from the radio to the amplifier.

  • carefully inspect the wires for breakage, abrasion, or damaged insulation. If something like this is found, the damaged wire is replaced. Typically, this will eliminate the amplifier error;
  • if there is no damage on the wires, but the problem persists, check the connection density of all plugs, both on the amplifier and on the radio. The best way  - take them out in turn and insert them into the sockets again, with a little effort;
  • if this does not lead to anything, then there is a malfunction of the amplifier. It must be removed and taken for repair to the nearest service center;

Protect message: what is the problem and how to fix it

The inscription ERROR-PROTECT appears on the display immediately after connecting a USB flash drive or other portable storage medium. The reason for this error is that the files on the connected media were encoded using the Windows Media DRM digital rights management system. The protected files themselves usually have the extension .wma.

  • file replacement: if the tracks on the flash drive are not of great value, you can simply erase them, and put similar mp3 files in their place;
  • if there is nothing to replace the protected files with, you can use one of the many format converter programs and reformat the wma files to mp3;

Here is an example of conversion using the Format Factory program (which is free for home use and which can be freely downloaded from the developers website).

The user is able to eliminate most of the errors that occur on the display of the Pioneer radio tape recorder on their own, as they are most often associated either with incorrect formatting of the medium or with its poor condition. Perhaps the only exception to this rule may be error 10: if it turns out that it is not connected with the Bluetooth module, then it will not be possible to do without expensive repairs.

To imagine a car without a radio is quite difficult. It is installed, both by the manufacturer before the release of transport, and by the owner himself. The value of the radio is quite large. It allows you to enjoy music on the road, listen to the radio, find out the news and other important information.

Radio with flash drive: features

Modern Pioneer radios can read not only disks, but also flash drives. This is very convenient, as it allows the driver to record musical compositions on their own. If necessary, they are easily replaced by new ones. The playback quality is quite high and does not depend on which media is used.

Today, most people prefer just such devices. Since they have more features. In addition, they are convenient to use and economical. There is no need to spend extra money to purchase new discs.

Error on the Pioneer radio tape recorder: what does it mean?

But as practice shows, any device can fail. The radio tape recorder was no exception. There are breakdowns that are clearly expressed. In such cases, the device does not turn on and does not work at all. To fix this problem, you will certainly need the help of a specialist. But there is another type of breakdown.

They are reproduced on the display of the device in the form of any letters and signs. To understand their meaning, you will need to use the instruction manual. It is attached to all recorders by manufacturers and contains useful information. It is important to familiarize yourself with it before using the radio.

Error 23 on the radio

Errors in the operation of the radio can occur at any time. And it doesn’t matter at all who its manufacturer is Pioneer and another company. One of the most common is error 23, it is typical of a radio with a flash drive. Everyone can face her. It lies in the fact that the radio does not read the flash drive. As a result of which, the musical compositions that are on it are not reproduced.

There are many reasons for this problem. But before proceeding to their determination, it is worth checking the flash drive for viruses. They can also interfere with her work. This is pretty simple. This will require a computer and a special antivirus program. If the test is passed and its result is positive, then the reason is different.

Error 23 on the Pioneer radio with a flash drive: reasons

This problem may occur for reasons such as:

  1. Music file format mismatch. This item should be strictly monitored. Since the device will not be able to read songs recorded in a different format. For example, if the Pioneer radio is designed for the MP-3 extension, then only such files need to be uploaded;
  2. Incorrect file name. Defining such a reason is simple. Mostly some files are played, while others are not. This suggests that some are written in the Cyrillic language, which is characteristic of the radio, while others are not. Perhaps in general she works in Latin. Then all files will need to be renamed so that only the letters of the Latin alphabet are present in their name;
  3. Flash drive failure. It is necessary to check the drive for proper operation. Perhaps this is the first thing that follows in a situation of error. Perhaps the flash drive is out of order. To determine its status, you must connect to another device. For example, a computer. If it cannot be read on it, then the cause is a drive malfunction. This can happen, either due to mechanical damage, or for another reason. In some cases, the operation of the drive is quite possible;
  4. The connector into which the USB flash drive is connected to the radio is defective. This can happen when you use the device frequently or incorrectly. His contacts during operation are shaken, which violates their function. You can correct the situation, but it is not easy. It is better to contact the specialists of the service center;
  5. Inconsistency of the volume of the flash drive and car radio. This mainly concerns a large amount of information. Basically, radio tape recorders are designed for flash drives no more than 4 GB. And if this value is exceeded, then the device is unlikely to work. But this does not mean that the flash drive should only be of such a volume. There are some tricks that perfectly help in solving this problem. So, you can divide the drive into segments that will contain the necessary amount of information;
  6. The file system of the flash drive does not match. Almost all radio receivers are individual and can only work with a specific format. You can find out which is typical for your radio, from the instruction manual of the device. And the flash drive will just need to be formatted.

The radio tape recorder gives an error 23: how to format a USB flash drive?

Quite often, a flash drive has the NTFS format, but the Pioneer radio tape recorder requires file system  FAT16 or FAT32. Such a mismatch will lead to the fact that musical compositions will not be played, and the radio will give an error 23.

But do not be upset. Since there is a solution that can help you. It consists in the operation of formatting a flash drive. Everyone can do this easily.

You must insert the drive into the computer. Then on his icon, which appears on the screen, click right click  mouse and select the word format. Set this command to run. To do this, just click in the new window the word start.

The system will warn you that this procedure will be performed with the deletion of all data that was previously stored on the drive. This is a prerequisite. Therefore, it is necessary to agree to its implementation.

After the work is completed, a window will appear on the screen. It will be said about it. What you need to click ok and remove the drive from the computer. This procedure is very simple and is shown in the photo. Therefore, difficulties in its implementation are unlikely to arise.

As practice shows, there are no unsolved problems. Don't be scared of mistakes that may appear on the display of a Pioneer radio. Almost everything can be fixed and renewed. normal work  devices.

Error codes of car stereos.

Any technique, even the best, at some point may let the owner. Radio Pioneer in this sense is no exception. Is it possible to eliminate them yourself? On the elimination of typical errors with flash drives type 23 and 19 on the "Pioneer" and talk further.

A list of the most well-known errors of the Pioneer radio tape recorder and how to eliminate them

Most often, problems arise with USB-drives. Let's start with them.

USB CHECK Error

The inscription CHECK USB appears on the display of the radio when it refuses to read a USB flash drive or some other storage device (for example, a portable hDD). This message indicates a failure in the power system of the USB device. Failure may occur either due to the incompatibility of this drive with the radio tape recorder, or due to a short circuit in the connector itself.

  • first you should carefully examine the USB port on the radio. Possibly dirt or some foreign object got into it, which caused the closure;
  • if there is no circuit, you should pay attention to the amount of current consumed by the USB-drive (this figure can be found in the instructions for the device). The fact is that some flash drives require a current slightly higher than 500 mA for normal operation, while the radio tape recorder is designed for exactly 500 mA, which leads to a CHECK USB error. There is only one way out: to replace the USB flash drive, having previously specified the amount of current consumed;

ERROR 23 with a flash drive

If an error 23 occurs, the user sees ERROR-23 on the display of the radio tape recorder. This happens immediately after installing the USB flash drive into the USB port of the radio. The error means that the file system in which the flash drive is formatted is incompatible with this tape recorder. That is, if the drive was formatted in an outdated FAT32 system (or even FAT16), the error is guaranteed to appear.

Solution: format the USB flash drive in nTFS systemsupported by all Pioneer receivers.

Troubleshooting Error 19

This error is displayed on the display as ERROR-19. It may occur either due to incorrect formatting of the drive, or due to the storage of files on it with extensions other than .mp3 (such as .doc, .exe, .txt, .pdf, .com). MP3 files can also cause an error if they are stored in multiple folders with high level   nesting and abundance of Cyrillic characters in the names.

  • remove from the stick all extraneous files except mp3. If mp3-files are “scattered” in many folders - arrange their structure by placing them in 3-4 new folders, and the names of these folders must be written in Latin letters;
  • if this does not work, you should insert the USB flash drive into your computer and check it for viruses. As a rule, viruses do not damage the recorder, but are often copied to a USB flash drive. executable fileswhich are not “seen” by the standard Windows file manager, but “see” the recorder perfectly;
  • if a antivirus program   for some reason, it did not cope with the removal of the viruses found, only one thing remains: full formatting of the drive in the NTFS system, as it was shown above;

ERROR 11

There are two problems that cause the ERROR-11 message to appear on the display. Either the compact disc inserted into the radio is seriously scratched or covered with dirt, or there is some mechanical problem in the radio tape recorder (the CD drive of the radio tape recorder most often fails).

  • remove the disc and gently wipe it with a piece of soft cloth;
  • clean the drive lens with a special cleaning disc;
  • if it does not help, one way out: contact the nearest Pioneer service center;

Power failure 10 on the car radio

ERROR-10 error notification means either a power failure in the Bluetooth module, or some other electrical problem (but in practice, Bluetooth is usually the source of the trouble). This error is not related to the media.

  • the car's ignition key is set to the OFF position, after which it is moved to either the ACC or ON position. The power source at the same time switches to some other device, and then back to the radio;
  • if these actions have not brought results, you must contact the service center;

Amplifier error

If there are problems with the amplifier in the car, the sound suddenly disappears (usually this happens during the playback of the track), after which the driver sees ERROR-AMP on the display. The inscription says that everything is in order with the radio tape recorder and the disk and the reason should be sought elsewhere. The most common source of error is damaged, closed, or simply loosely connected wiring from the radio to the amplifier.

  • carefully inspect the wires for breaks, short-circuit, abrasion or damaged insulation. If something similar is found, the damaged wire is replaced. As a rule, this leads to the elimination of the amplifier error;
  • if there is no damage to the wires and the problem persists, you should check the connection density of all the plugs, both on the amplifier and on the radio tape recorder. The best way   - take them out one by one and insert them into the nests again, with a little effort;
  • if this doesn’t lead to anything, then there is a fault in the amplifier. It must be removed and taken to the repair to the nearest service center;

Message Protect: what is the problem and how to fix it

The inscription ERROR-PROTECT appears on the display immediately after connecting a USB flash drive or other portable storage media. The reason for this error is that the files on the connected media were encoded using Windows Media DRM. The protected files themselves usually have the extension .wma.

  • file replacement: if the tracks on the flash drive are not of great value, you can simply erase them and put similar mp3-files in their place;
  • if there is nothing to replace the protected files, you can use one of the many format conversion programs and reformat wma files to mp3;

Let's give an example of converting using the Format Factory program (which is free for home use and which can be freely downloaded from the developers site).

Most display errors car stereo pioneer, the user is able to eliminate on their own, since they are most often associated either with improper formatting of the medium or with its poor state. The exception to this rule, perhaps, can only be error 10: if it turns out that it is not connected with the Bluetooth module, then it will not be possible to do without expensive repairs.

In this article we will try to answer the questions.:

    What is a complex malfunction?

    How error codes can help in the repair of car stereo?

In the practice of repairing car stereos, it is not uncommon to find and fix more than one specific malfunction in order to restore the operation of a car stereo. It is good if the failures are not interconnected or refer to different electronic components of the car stereo (for example: there is no sound - the amplifier chip is faulty; there is no disc reading - the laser reader lens is dirty).

And if both faults are in the CD-drive? With such faults, the process of diagnostics and repair becomes difficult, since, having eliminated one malfunction, we immediately encounter the manifestation of another. Such a failure with several causes can be called challenging.

Pioneer got to the repair table because there was no reading from the CD.

During external examination, it was noticed that when you press the disk unload button, the disk unloading process is slow. Also, there was a strong pollution of the car radio with dust.

It is no secret that when heavily contaminated the optics suffers first - the surface of the laser reader lens is covered with fine dust and this prevents the focusing of the laser beam on the surface of the compact disc. At the same time, there may be failures during playback (the sound “hiccups”), failures during the initial loading of the disc (“NO DISK”, “Error”), a long search for the record when switching to another song. Do not forget that the cause of such a malfunction can be not only the pollution of the optics, but also the degradation of the laser diode in the optical unit.

The car stereo with any malfunctions appears on the display with an error code. Knowing the decoding of the error code, you can more quickly   find the faulty node and do not spend time on diagnostics. So, for example, in the considered Pioneer DEH-P3500MP car stereo, when the disc was turned on and loaded, “ERROR-11” appeared on the display. At the same time, a spinup of the disc was observed - it means that the spindle motor is fine.

ERROR-11

If you refer to the service documentation for this model of car radio then the code “ERROR-11” stands for: - No beam focus. Well, everything is quite simple here, as already mentioned, the violation of the beam focusing is due to the pollution of the car radio with dust.

In this case, you may need a complete cleaning of all mechanical parts of the car and its body. Cleaning the laser reader lens is made difficult by the need to disassemble the CD mechanism and remove the laser reader from it. On how to disassemble the CD-mechanism read and (another type of drive).

After the laser unit is cleaned of dust, the operation of the car radio can be fully restored. But we are considering a complex malfunction.

When further checking the operation of the car radio on several MP3 discs, it turned out that when switching to several songs forward or backward, a failure occurs. After a long and unsuccessful search for the desired track, the ominous inscription “ERROR-30” appeared on the display of the car radio.

ERROR-30

Also, when playing a recording from a disc, errors (“stuttering” or “croaking”) were observed, and sometimes right after loading an MP3 disc, the mysterious inscription “NO AUDIO” appeared.

Compact discs with conventional coding (Compact Disc Digital Audio) were reproduced more or less normally and without failures. It is known that with regular recording (Compact Disc Digital Audio) without compression, such as, for example, in MP3, the correction and error correction system makes it easier to recover read data if it is poorly read from a disc.

In this case, you can make the erroneous conclusion that the laser optical unit is faulty (degradation of the laser diode), and it must be replaced with a new one. But there are pitfalls. Recall what mistakes we gave the radio, and look at the service documentation.

From the service manual for car radio Pioneer DEH-P3500MP we learn that the error code “ERROR-30” stands for: - Excess search time. And if you think logically you can come to the conclusion that any engine is a CD-drive.

It turned out that the cause of the error “ERROR-30” in this case was the laser reader positioning engine. It was he who gave out low speed, which led to disruptions in playback and switching to another track. Recall that the disk boot process was slower than usual. If we consider that this type of CD-drive has a design where 2 engines are used and the positioning engine still performs the function of loading a disc into a CD-drive, then it becomes clear that the reason is in the positioning engine.

After replacing the positioning engine (marking FF-050SB-11170; D / V9.0) with a similar engine marked (FF-050SB-13130; D / V5.9), the fault completely disappeared and there were no test failures.

Laser reader positioning motor

It is also worth paying attention to the fact that when loading some MP3 discs, the Pioneer DEH-P3500MP car audio receiver displays the error code “ERROR-23” ( Invalid data format) and recording from the disc will not play.

ERROR-23

The reason is that the recording format of this MP3 disc does not comply with ISO9660 Level1, Level2 specifications. The car stereo generates an error and refuses to read the disc. Unfortunately, nothing can be done here, since the processor, decoding record does not support this recording format.

So, using an example, we have dismantled the elimination of a complex malfunction in the Pioneer car radio. In this case, the causes of errors were eliminated one by one:

    “ERROR-11” - severe contamination of the optical unit with dust (eliminated by cleaning the lens);

    “ERROR-30” - a malfunction of the positioning engine and disk loading / unloading (eliminated by replacing the positioning engine).

Both malfunctions are related to the operation of the CD mechanism and this causes confusion and leads to an erroneous judgment about the causes of the malfunction.

Presenting a car without a radio is quite difficult. It is installed, both by the manufacturer before the release of transport, and by the owner. The value of the radio is quite large. It allows you to enjoy music while on the road, listen to the radio, learn news and other important information.

Radio with flash drive: features

Modern Pioneer receivers can read not only discs, but also flash drives. This is very convenient, as it allows the driver to independently record musical compositions. If necessary, they are easily replaced with new ones. The playback quality is quite high and does not depend on what kind of media is used.

Today, most people prefer such devices. Since they have more features. In addition, easy to use and economical. No need to spend extra money to purchase new discs.

Error on the radio Pioneer: what does it mean?

But as practice shows, any device can fail. Radio is no exception. There are breakdowns that are clearly expressed. In such cases, the device does not turn on and does not work at all. To eliminate such a problem, you will certainly need the help of a specialist. But there is another type of damage.

They are reproduced on the device display in the form of any letters and symbols. To understand their meaning, you will need to use the instruction manual. It is attached to all recorders manufacturers and contains useful information. It is important to get acquainted with it before using the radio.

Error 23 on the radio

Errors in the radio can occur at any time. And it does not matter at all who its manufacturer is Pioneer and another company. One of the most common is error 23, it is characteristic of a tape recorder with a flash drive. Everyone can face it. It lies in the fact that the radio does not read the USB flash drive. As a result, the musical compositions that are on it are not reproduced.

The reasons for this problem are many. But before proceeding to their definition, it is worth checking the flash drive for viruses. They can also hinder her work. Make it pretty simple. This will require a computer and a special anti-virus program. If the test is passed and its result is positive, then the reason is different.

Error 23 on the radio Pioneer with a flash drive: the reasons

This problem may occur for such reasons as:

  1. Music file format mismatch. This item should be strictly monitored. Since the device will not be able to read songs recorded in a different format. For example, if the Pioneer radio cassette is designed for the expansion of the MP-3, then only such files need to be uploaded;
  2. Incorrect file name. To determine such a reason is simple. Mostly some files are played, while others are not. This suggests that some are recorded in the Cyrillic language, which is characteristic of the radio tape recorder, while others are not. Perhaps, in general, she works in Latin. Then all files will need to be renamed, so that their names contain only letters of the Latin alphabet;
  3. Break the flash drive. It is necessary to check the drive for serviceability. Perhaps this is the first thing that follows in a situation of error. Maybe the flash drive is out of order. To determine its condition, you need to connect to another device. For example, a computer. If it is not readable on it either, then the reason is a drive malfunction. This can happen, either due to mechanical damage or for another reason. In some cases, the operation of the drive is quite possible;
  4. The connector in which the flash drive is connected to the radio tape recorder is defective. This can happen if you use the device frequently or incorrectly. His contacts during operation is loosened, which violates their function. You can fix the situation, but it is not easy. It is better to contact the specialists of the service center;
  5. The discrepancy between the volume of flash drives and car radio. This mainly concerns a large amount of information. Basically recorders are designed for flash drives not more than 4 GB. And if this value is exceeded, the device is unlikely to work. But this does not mean that the flash drive should only be of such volume. There are some tricks that are great at solving this problem. So, you can break the drive into segments that will contain the necessary amount of information;
  6. The file system of the flash drive does not match. Almost all radio tape recorders are individual and can only work with a specific format. You can find out which is typical for your car stereo from the device’s instruction manual. And already need a flash drive just format.

The radio tape recorder gives an error 23: how to format a USB flash drive?

Quite often, the flash drive has the NTFS format, but the Pioneer radio tape recorder requires file system   FAT16 or FAT32. Such a discrepancy will lead to the fact that the musical compositions will not be played, and the radio tape recorder will give an error 23.

But you should not upset. Since there is a solution that can help you. It consists in carrying out a formatting operation for a flash drive. Make it easy and everyone can.

It is necessary to insert the drive into the computer. Then on its icon that appears on the screen, click right click   Mouse and select the word format. Set this command to execute. To do this, simply click in the new window to start the word.

The system will warn you that this procedure will be performed with the removal of all data that was previously stored on the drive. This is a prerequisite. Therefore, it is necessary to agree to its holding.

After the work is completed, a window will appear on the screen. It will say about it. What you need to click OK and remove the drive from the computer. This procedure is very simple and is shown in the photo. Therefore, difficulties in its implementation are unlikely to arise.

As practice shows, there are no unsolved problems. Do not be afraid of errors that may appear on the display of the Pioneer radio. Almost everything can be fixed and renewed. normal work   devices.

Error codes of car stereos.

Any technique, even the best, at some point may let the owner. Radio Pioneer in this sense is no exception. Even in this device from a well-known manufacturer, occasionally annoying errors arise that can even confuse an experienced motorist. What are these errors and why do they occur? Is it possible to eliminate them yourself? On the elimination of typical errors with flash drives type 23 and 19 on the "Pioneer" and talk further.

A list of the most well-known errors of the Pioneer radio tape recorder and how to eliminate them

Most often, problems arise with USB-drives. Let's start with them.

USB CHECK Error

The inscription CHECK USB appears on the display of the radio when it refuses to read a USB flash drive or some other storage device (for example, pioneer deh-p3500mp error 30 portable hDD). This message indicates a failure in the power system of the USB device. Failure may occur either due to beyond compare runtime error 230 incompatibility of this drive with the radio tape recorder, or due to a short circuit in the connector itself.

  • first you should carefully examine the USB port on the radio. Possibly dirt or some port 3306 error 2003 object got into it, which caused the closure;
  • if there is no circuit, you should pay attention to the amount of current consumed by the USB-drive (this figure can be found in the instructions for the device). The fact is that some flash drives require a current slightly higher than 500 mA for normal operation, while the radio tape recorder is designed for exactly 500 mA, which leads to a CHECK USB error. There is only one way out: to replace the USB flash drive, having previously specified the amount of current consumed;

That is, if the drive was socket reset error in an outdated FAT32 system (or even FAT16), the error is guaranteed to appear.

Solution: format the USB flash drive in nTFS systemsupported by all Pioneer receivers.

Troubleshooting Error 19

This error is displayed on the display as ERROR-19. It may occur either due to incorrect formatting of the drive, or due to the storage of files on it with extensions other than .mp3 (such as .doc. exe. txt. pdf. com). MP3 files can also cause an error if they are stored in multiple folders with high level   nesting and abundance of Cyrillic characters in the names.

  • remove from the stick all extraneous files except mp3. If mp3-files loredana errore la voce delle stelle “scattered” in many folders - arrange their structure by placing them in 3-4 new folders, and the names of these folders must be written in Latin letters;
  • if this does not work, you should insert the USB flash drive into your computer and check it for viruses. As a rule, viruses do not damage the recorder, pioneer deh-p3500mp error 30, but are often copied to a USB flash drive. executable fileswhich are not “seen” by the standard Windows file manager, but “see” the recorder perfectly;
  • if a antivirus program   for some reason, it did not cope with the removal of the viruses found, only one thing remains: full formatting of the drive in the NTFS system, as it was shown above;

ERROR 11

There are two problems that cause the ERROR-11 message to appear on the display. Either the compact disc inserted into the radio is seriously scratched or covered with dirt, or there is some mechanical problem pioneer deh-p3500mp error 30 the radio tape recorder (the CD drive of the radio tape recorder most often fails).

  • remove the disc and gently wipe it with a piece of pioneer deh-p3500mp error 30 cloth;
  • clean the drive lens with a special cleaning disc;
  • if it does not help, one way out: contact the nearest Pioneer service center;

Power failure 10 on the car radio

ERROR-10 error error c2065 x undeclared identifier means either a power failure in the Bluetooth module, or some other electrical problem (but in practice, Bluetooth is usually the source of the trouble). This error is not related to the media.

  • the car's ignition key is set to the OFF position, after which it is moved to either the ACC or ON position. The power source at the same time switches to some other device, and then back to the radio;
  • if these actions have not brought results, you must contact the service center;

  • carefully inspect the wires for breaks, short-circuit, pioneer deh-p3500mp error 30, abrasion or damaged insulation. If something similar is found, the damaged wire is replaced. As a rule, pioneer deh-p3500mp error 30, this leads to the elimination of the amplifier error;
  • if there is no damage to the wires and the problem persists, you should check the connection density of all the plugs, both on the amplifier and on the radio tape recorder. The best way   - take them out one by one and insert them into the nests again, with a little effort;
  • if this doesn’t lead to anything, then there is a fault in the amplifier. It must be removed and taken to the repair to the nearest service center;

  • file replacement: if the tracks on the flash drive are not of great value, you can simply erase them and put similar mp3-files in their place;
  • if there is nothing to replace the protected files, you can use one of the many format conversion programs and reformat wma files to mp3;

Let's give an example of converting using the Format Factory program (which is free for home use and which can be freely downloaded from the developers site).

Most display errors car stereo pioneer, the pioneer deh-p3500mp error 30 is able to eliminate on pioneer deh-p3500mp error 30 own, since they are most often associated either with improper formatting of the medium or with its poor state.

In the practice of repairing car stereos, it is not uncommon to find and fix more than one specific malfunction in order tezaab - the terror restore the operation of a car stereo.

At the same time, there may be failures during playback (the sound “hiccups”), failures during the initial loading of the disc (“NO DISK”, “Error”), a long search for the record when switching to another song, pioneer deh-p3500mp error 30. Do not forget that the cause of such a malfunction can be not only the pollution of the optics, but also the degradation of the laser diode in the optical unit.

The car stereo with any malfunctions appears on the display with an error code. Knowing the decoding of the error code, you can more quickly   find the faulty node and do not spend time on diagnostics, pioneer deh-p3500mp error 30.

Well, everything hp 4014 error 59, 6 quite simple here, as already mentioned, pioneer deh-p3500mp error 30 violation of the beam focusing is due to the pollution of the car radio with dust.

In this case, you may need a complete cleaning of all resetear canon mp190 error e27 parts of the car and its body.

Compact discs with conventional pioneer deh-p3500mp error 30 (Compact Disc Digital Audio) were reproduced more or less normally and without failures.

If we consider that this type of CD-drive has a design kampagnen/terror und konsequenzen v1.1.rar 2 engines are pioneer deh-p3500mp error 30 and the positioning engine still performs the function of loading a disc into a CD-drive, then it becomes clear that the reason is in the positioning engine.

After replacing the positioning engine (marking FF-050SB-11170; D / V9.0) with a similar engine marked (FF-050SB-13130; D / V5.9), the fault completely disappeared and there were no test failures.

Laser reader positioning motor

It is also worth paying attention to the fact that when loading some MP3 discs, the Pioneer DEH-P3500MP car audio receiver displays the error code “ERROR-23” ( Invalid data format) and recording from the error a0 pioneer will not play.

ERROR-23

The reason is that the recording format of this MP3 disc does not comply with ISO9660 Level1, Level2 specifications. The car stereo generates an error and refuses to read the disc. Unfortunately, nothing can be done here, since the processor, decoding record does not support this recording format.

So, using an example, we have dismantled the elimination of a complex malfunction in the Pioneer car radio, pioneer deh-p3500mp error 30. In this case, the causes of errors were eliminated one by one:

    “ERROR-11” - severe contamination of the optical unit with dust (eliminated by cleaning the lens);

This is very convenient, as it allows the driver to independently record musical compositions, pioneer deh-p3500mp error 30. If necessary, they are easily replaced with new ones. The playback quality is quite high and does not depend on what kind pioneer deh-p3500mp error 30 media is used.

Today, most people prefer such devices. Since they have hp designjet 4020 24 10 error features.

They are reproduced on the pioneer deh-p3500mp error 30 display in the form of any letters and symbols.

But before proceeding to their definition, pioneer deh-p3500mp error 30 is worth checking the flash drive for viruses. They can also pioneer deh-p3500mp error 30 her work. Make it pretty simple, pioneer deh-p3500mp error 30. This will require a computer and a special anti-virus program. If the test is passed and its result is positive, then the reason is different.

Error 23 on the radio Pioneer with a flash drive: the reasons

This problem may occur for such reasons as:

  1. Music file format mismatch. This item should be strictly monitored. Since the device will not be able to read songs recorded in a different format. For example, if the Pioneer radio cassette is designed for the expansion of the MP-3, then only such files need to be uploaded;
  2. Incorrect file name. To determine such a reason is simple, pioneer deh-p3500mp error 30. Mostly some files are played, while others are not. This suggests that some are recorded in the Cyrillic language, which is characteristic of the radio tape recorder, while others are not. Perhaps, pioneer deh-p3500mp error 30, in general, she works in Latin, pioneer deh-p3500mp error 30. Then all files will need to be renamed, so that their names contain only letters of the Latin alphabet;
  3. Break the flash drive. It is necessary to check the drive for serviceability. Perhaps this is the first thing that follows in a situation of error. Maybe the flash drive is out of order. To determine its condition, you need to connect to another device. For example, a computer. If it is not readable on it either, then the reason is a drive malfunction, pioneer deh-p3500mp error 30. This can happen, either due to mechanical damage or for another reason. In some cases, the operation of the drive is quite possible;
  4. The connector in which the flash drive is connected to the radio tape recorder is defective. This can happen if you use the device frequently or incorrectly. His contacts during operation is loosened, which violates their function. You can fix the situation, but it is not easy. It is better to contact the specialists of the service center;
  5. The discrepancy between the volume of flash drives and car radio. This mainly concerns a large amount of information. Basically recorders are designed for flash drives not more than 4 GB. And if this value is exceeded, pioneer deh-p3500mp error 30, the device is unlikely to work. But this does not mean that the flash drive should only be of such volume. There are some tricks that are great at solving this problem. So, you can break the drive into segments that will contain the necessary amount of information;
  6. The file system of the pioneer deh-p3500mp error 30 drive does not match. Almost all radio tape recorders are individual and can only work with a specific format. You can find out which is typical for your car stereo from the device’s instruction manual. And already need a flash drive just format.

The radio tape recorder gives snac4.1 error x04 error 23: how to format a USB flash drive?

Quite often, the flash drive has the NTFS format, but the Pioneer radio tape recorder requires file system   FAT16 or FAT32. Such a discrepancy will lead to the fact that the musical compositions will not be played, and the radio tape recorder will give an error 23.

But you should not upset. Since there is a solution that can help you. It consists in carrying out a formatting operation for a flash drive. Make it easy and everyone can.

It is necessary to insert the drive into the computer. Then on its icon that appears on the screen, click right click   Mouse and mp240 error p08 the word format. Set this command to execute. To do this, simply click in the new window to start the word.

The system will warn you that this procedure pioneer deh-p3500mp error 30 be performed with the removal of all data that was previously stored on the drive. This is a prerequisite. Therefore, it is necessary to agree to its holding.

After the work is completed, a window will appear on the screen. It will say about it. What you need to click OK and remove the drive from the computer, pioneer deh-p3500mp error 30.
