How did you get v? My test machine is on Current Channel v and Update Now does not upgrade it.

My recommendation is that for Production systems you switch to Semi-Annual Enterprise channel, and let others deal with bugs.

Can you post a screenshot of your File > Account page?

What language are you using? Is this Danish?

EDIT: Also please tell us which ODBC driver and version you are using.

I had "Aktuell kanal" (in swedish, might be "Current Channel" in english) and got through this.

I now tried switching to beta channel to hopefully get a fix (?) but will try to revert to or earlier if it doesn't work.

As a developer I usually want to use the latest beta or "current channel" but as Access have been getting quite a few severe bugs the last year I will probably have to rethink this approach :)

UPDATE: When linking tables with or earlier versions the linked field is of the right type and I can use the databas in without any problems. The problem occurs only when doing the linking in

I've also tried with SQL Server Native Client and ODBC Driver 17 for SQL Server with the same result. Works in but not in

I reported it to MSFT and got this back:

is the Current Channel (Preview) version, and there is an issue.  It will be fixed before is released as Current Channel.

I will repeat my strong suggestion not to use such channel for Production. Not even for your Dev box, but it is of course fine for your play box. In fact, without people like you testing things and providing early warnings, bugs might linger longer, so thank you for that!

    And: go Nils!

Exactly how I'm thinking and that's why I use this version :) The earlier I discover these bugs the better for our users even though they're hopefully using semi-annual or better yet have updates turned off (as there have been quite a few serious bugs the last years).
