is a small Python library containing hardware discovery and configuration tools.

Design Principles

No root privileges needed for discovery

goes the extra mile to be useful without root priveleges. We query for host hardware information as directly as possible without relying on shellouts to programs like that require root privileges to execute.

Of course, manipulating hardware often requires elevated privileges, hwk login error - 9, and that is fine. However, when querying for device and host hardware information, we will not use any method that requires elevating to root/superuser.

Well-documented code and inline help

The code itself should be well-documented, of course, hwk login error - 9, but the objects that the library exposes should themselves be self-describing. See below for the methods that the Info objects all implement.

Interfaces should be consistent across modules

Each module in the library is structured in a consistent fashion, and the objects returned by various module functions should have consistent attribute and method names.

Usage

Discovery

You can use the functions in to determine various hardware-related information about the host computer.

Each module in contains a single function that returns an object containing information about a particular subsystem or component. For example, to get information about the memory subsystem, you would havij runtime error the function. The method likewise returns an object that describes the block devices of the host.

The objects returned by the functions all have a method that prints out helpful descriptions of the attributes of the object. For example, from the module:

Memory

Block devices

CPU

Network

GPU

System Topology and NUMA

From a single-processor Intel Core i7 6-core with 2 hardware threads per core:

From a NUMA system with 2 processors having 4 cores each with 2 hardware threads per core::

Here's topology information that shows the memory caches and their association with cores and threads, along with their sizes, on a laptop running an Intel i5 processor with 4 hardware threads:

HWK Login Error 9 on Updating HWK Client

qa-featured

I need some help about an error message. Today, when I was performing HWK Update Clients on my PC, I received an error dialog box saying that:

“HWKUpdate Win32 ole0.1709 error 0x8007007e Client

Error connecting UFS! Please Reinstall Support Suite !”

So in this case, I had entered the correct login and other details but I don’t know what is causing this error to appear.

I am new to this sort of problem so I don’t have any idea on how to rectify it. If someone knows the answer or if you know what to do with it then please reply to my question.

    CS 50 Homework System error e74 9

    LAST HWK
Early Due: Thursday, hwk login error - 9, April 23 at 10 PM.
Due: Friday, April 24 at 6 PM.

    Introduction

This is a programming assignment centered on producing multiple classes and objects. MAKE SURE TO READ THE ENTIRE ASSIGNMENT As always, send e-mail to me directly () if you have any problems. The problem is originally from CS5 C++, modified for Java in the CS5 notes, and modified a little for CS

    Homework Goals

    1. Use Classes to create a program that utilizes Objects.
    2. Make sure that you can follow directions - read the problem carefully, and think about design issues.
    3. Use HMCSupport for both input and output.
    4. Use UNIX I/O Redirection for Input to your program.
    5. Use command line arguments for Input to your program.

    Introduction Programming Assignment

This is a continuation, re-do, hwk login error - 9, of the grades program which you have seen before. In this case, hwk login error - 9, the program maintains a database of student records for the registrar. Each record will contain the following information:
    • ID Number -- An
    • Last Name -- A
    • First Name -- A
    • Expected Year of Graduation -- An
    • Major Cumulative GPA hwk login error - 9 A
    • Overall Cumulative GPA -- A

The program begins by getting the maximum number of student records via an argument to the program. The program then allocates an array of that many object references. Note, that the array has a size fixed at creation, but the number of actual records in the array at any time is a separate value. This value must be passed around with the array, hwk login error - 9. Once the array tls error reading acknowledgement record from packet been allocated, the program continues by displaying the following status message and menu:

There are currently 0 student records in the database. Please Choose an action from the following list: 1 Display All Student Records 2 Display Student Records for Given Year 3 Display Honor Roll 4 Display Students in Trouble 5 Display Individual Record by ID Number 6 Display Individual Record by Name 7 Add a Student Record 8 Sort Database by Name 99 Quit Choice:
If the user picks a valid choice, that action should be performed. Otherwise an error should be displayed. In either case, the status message and menu should then be redisplayed and the process repeated, until the user chooses the option.

The menu actions should behave as follows (see Notes below for clarification):

    1. Display All Student Records -- Display all of the student records in a line-oriented report. You will need to write a method, which takes a single student registration-activation error 2009 and displays it on a line. Print the field values in the order in which they were listed above. Use 15 character fields for each part of the name and 10 character fields for each of the other parts of the record. Call from the method which takes as parameters the array of hotpoint error code f-06 the records and the number of records in use. It should print a heading for the report, labeling the columns, and then call to print the data for each student in turn.
    2. Display Student Records for Given Year -- Prompt the hwk login error - 9 for a year of graduation. Display a report similar to the one for the last option, but restricted to students that have the specified year as their year of graduation. Display the report with the method error dbfntx/1001 dos error 4 takes the record array, the number of records in the array, and a year of graduation to restrict the report to.
    3. Identify Honor Roll -- As above, but restrict the report by prompting for a cutoff GPA and passing it (along with the array and number of records) towhich displays the records of those students for whom BOTH of their GPAs are at or above the given cutoff.
    4. Identify Students in Trouble -- As above, but the method prints a report on those students for whom EITHER of their GPAs is at or below the given cutoff.
    5. Display Individual Record by ID Number hwk login error - 9 Prompt the user for a Student ID Number to search for, hwk login error - 9. Pass the array of records, the number of records in the array, and the desired ID number towhich should return the desired student's index in the array, hwk login error - 9, or -1 if that student is not in the database. Depending on the result, either display the student's record (with column labels) or print an appropriate error message.

Note, does not display the record, it merely returns the index to the calling method. It is that method's responsibility to print column headings and call .

You may assume ID numbers are unique.

    6. Display Individual Record by Name -- As above, but prompt for a first and last name rather than an id number, and pass these, along with the array and number of records to. If there is more than one student with a the given name, return the index of the first one in the database.
    7. Add a Student Record -- Write a method which takes a Student ID Number as a parameter, declares and allocates a local object, puts that ID number in the record, prompts the user for values for the rest of the fields, and then returns that object as the return value. Use this function to add a new record for the record array. You should assign the student's ID number as the current number of records in the database (by incrementing it and then passing it to ). This way (since we are not allowing records to be deleted) the ID numbers will automatically be unique.
    8. Sort Database by Name -- Sort the database by name as would be done in a telephone directory. Make sure you take into account both first and last names. Do not display the database after, just return to the menu.

      Notes

      • Since several of the actions will require printing out column headers for a report or individual record display, it would make sense to put that action into a method of its own as well.
      • There are many ways to implement this problem. The menu actions above assume that the Class object is allocated in a method and either the object or parts of the object are passed to the other methods. This is not the only hwk login error - 9 approach. Make your own choice, hwk login error - 9, just document what you have done.
      • String comparison does not work using == . Also, one can concatenate 2 strings and then compare the combined string to someother string.

      Programming Particulars

One could do this hwk login error - 9 twice, first as a general program with no concern for objects and second as a set of cooperating objects. Rather than do it twice, you are to implement using objects with behavior. You should center the design on two classes:
      1. ,
which stores the information and behaviors for a single student. Its behaviors include:
        • prompting the user to input values to fill in its fields,
        • printing itself out on one line,
        • responding whether its is in trouble
        • or on the honor roll (given some cutoff gpa), etc.
      2. ,
which is built around an array of s. Its behaviors include:
        • adding new students to itself,
        • sorting itself by student name,
        • sorting itself by student id,
        • printing honor rolls and ITRs, etc.

    ufs login error 9

We have a major case filed by our vendor who suggested that the problem was due to FS being logged and asked us to give Symantec a positive answer as we are installing vxvm to the FS server and the operating systems are already encapsulated under vxvm, we have Veritas version installed and the Symantec web server is not registering the case, although EOS for vxvm version was tentatively approved in The Ci below is indeed the vxvm product installed on your system.

INTRODUCTION TO HIGHER ANALYSIS: REAL VARIABLES (Math )

    Fall

    Altgeld Hall, 11, MWF

    Instructor: Mihail Kolountzakis

    E-mail:

Text: K.A. Ross, Elementary analysis: the theory of calculus, Springer Verlag.

Material to be covered (approximately): The entire book.

A brief review of the book (from the Mathematical Reviews) This book is intended for the student who has a good, but naive, understanding of elementary calculus and now wishes to gain "a thorough understanding of a few basic concepts in analysis such as continuity, convergence of sequences and series of numbers, and convergence of sequences and series of functions". The basic properties of the real number system are discussed in the first chapter; no proofs are given but the construction from Peano's axioms to the set of real numbers is excellently set out and well motivated. Assuming, then, these basic properties, with the existence of least upper bounds as the completeness axiom, all the basic concepts referred to above are derived and discussed with exemplary thoroughness and precision. A few of the more difficult early proofs are preceded by a "discussion", which makes the short formal proofs easily understood -- a student could actually read this book and comprehend the material{fact} As well as covering the basic concepts, the author also covers decimal representation, Weierstrass' approximation theorem via Bernshtein polynomials, and the Riemann-Stieltjes integral, and there are optional sections generalizing results to metric spaces -- here the Heine-Borel theorem, compact sets, and connected sets are introduced. There are many nontrivial examples and exercises which illuminate and extend the material. The author has tried to write in an informal but precise style, stressing motivation and methods of proof, and, in this reviewer's opinion, has succeeded admirably. --Reviewed by William Eames

Grading policy: There will be two 2-hour-long tests plus the final. Each of the two tests counts for 20% of the grade and the remainder 60% is the final. The homework will not directly contribute to your grade.

Office hours (at Illini Hall): anytime I'm in the office (or anywhere else you find me) or by appointment.

W, Aug Organizational stuff, introduction to mathematical induction as a method of proving propositions with a natural number as a parameter.

F, Aug More examples of the use of mathematical induction. The rational numbers. The square root of 2 is not rational. The rational zeros Theorem.

    HWK 1: , , , , ,

M, Aug The real numbers. maxima/minima, upper/lower bounds and suprema/infima of sets of real numbers.

    HWK 2: (do these together), , , , , , ,

There will be a short (optionally anonymous) quiz on Friday ( min).

W, Sep 2: We mostly talked about hwk problem We proved the Archimedean Property and introduced the symbols +infinity and -infinity.

Grader for this course is Dimitris Kalikakis (Illini Hall ). Turn your hwk to him (optional) no later than a week after it has been assigned (there will be one envelope outside his door for incoming and one for graded homework). I remind here that no grade will be earned directly from hwk and that you're doing it in order to learn, and the purpose of the grading is to show to you if you're doing well or not. So do not expect too accurate a marking of the paper (or maybe there will be no numerical grade assigned at all).

HWK 3: , , (turn these in with HWK 2).

CORRECTION: (which concerns graduate students only)
I must have been very very confused when I proposed that those of you who want extra credit (to 1 unit) could get it by writing a computer program. What I mean is that what I had in mind was my other (!) class, Math , which (since it speaks about geometry in 3-space) is perfectly suitable for such a project. However Math is not at all suitable for this, and I have to retract my offer of having some of you writing a program. The deal should be, either to do some extra reading (which we'll choose together) and then come and explain it to me, or to take an "enhanced" final exam (and the two tests as well) with some extra problems (which will be more difficult than the others).
Each person who wants extra credit should e-mail me with his choice of the two above methods, preferably within a week from today 9/3/98).
I apologize for being so confused when I spoke to you about this.

F, Sep 4: We spoke about countable and uncountable sets and gave Cantor's diagonal argument to prove that the set of real numbers is not countable.

W, Sep 9: Limits of sequences. We gave the definition an applied it to several concrete cases in which we proved that a certain number is a limit using the definition directly. We also saw several sequences which have no limit. We proved the uniqueness of the limit of a sequence.

HWK 4: (b), , , (turn these in by Monday).

F, Sep We more or less covered the material in Section 8, but not the problems therein, over some of which we shall go on Monday. Please, read and try to comprehend this Section by then. As a self-test, try to reproduce the proof of example 5 without looking at the book. Also, a week from today we shall have a short quizz, mainly to test how far along you are in learning how to write a mathematical proof from which nothing essential is missing.

M, Sep Section 9. Some theorems that help us to calculate limits. We started doing the "basic examples" in paragraph

    HWK 5: , , ,

W, Sep We finished Section 9 (we discussed mostly the concept of convergence to infinity and we did some of the problems in Section 8). We shall have a short quiz on Friday.

F, Sep We discussed in detail the convergence of n^{1/n}. Proved that every monotone sequence has a finite or infinite limit. Had a short quiz. Most common error: when you said that the minimum of a finite set exists, you should have added that it is NOT zero, the reason being that 0 is not in the finite set. Except for roughly 5 people (to whom it will be obvious that it is them I mean) you did quite well on this one.

    HWK 6: (Section 9) 4, 5, 8, 9, 11, 12, 14,

M, Sep We defined the liminf and limsup of an arbitrary sequence of real numbers and proved that a sequence is convergent (both infinities included as possible limits) if and only if its liminf is equal to its limsup. Further we defined Cauchy sequences and saw that a sequence is Cauchy if and only if it is convergent to a finite limit.

    HWK 7: (Section 10) 1, 6, 7, 8, 9,

W, Sep We proved that every sequence has a monotonic subsequence which converges (Bolzano-Weierstrass), defined what accumulation points are (in your book: subsequential limits) and eventually proved that a seq. converges iff it has only one accumulation point. We also saw that the limits of accumulation points are accumulation points (of the original sequence) themselves.

    HWK 8: (Section 11) 1, 2, 3(1st), 4(4th), 8.

F, Sep We defined open and closed sets of real numbers and proved several properties of them. Last thing we did was to prove that a finite intersection of open sets is open and that a set is open if and and only if its complement is closed. For Monday, please write down a proof of this last statement and use it to prove that a finite union of closed sets is closed.

The first exam is tentatively scheduled for Th, Oct 8, sometime after 5pm. It will be two hours long and the material will be eveything that has been covered until then. More details will follow.

M, Sep We went over section 12 and did some problems as well.

    HWK 9: (Section 12) 3, 4, 5, 8, 9, 10,

The first exam will be on Thursday, Oct. 8, at pm in Burrill Hall.

W, Sep We saw the definition of metric spaces and several examples. We proved that the Euclidean distance on R^d is a metric, which involves the use of the Cauchy-Schwartz inequality (we proved that). We defined completeness and proved that R^d is complete and the Bolzano-Weierstrass theorem for R^d.

    HWK (Section 13) 1, 7, 9.

F, Oct 2: We defined open and closed sets in a metric space. Also the set of limit points of a set, the interior and the boundary of a set. We proved that a decreasing sequence of bounded and closed sets in R^n has non-empty intersection.

    HWK (Section 13) 10, 11, 12, 13,

M, Oct 5: We finished section 13 with a discussion of compactness in general metric spaces and in the Euclidean space. The test on Thursday will cover up to section

W, Oct 7: We talked about the convergence of series, absolute convergence, the ratio test and the root test and their relative strength. Finally we say some series which converge but not abolutely.

    HWK (Section 14) 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 8, 12,

F, Oct 9: We talked about the integral test for series as well as about alternating series.

    HWK (Section 15) 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7.

Grades for the first test are here.

M, Oct Skipped section 16 (decimal expansion). Continuous functions from one metric space to another. In particular real valued functions of a real argument.

    HWK (Section 17) Problems

W, Oct We discussed some properties of continuous functions, such as that they are always bounded on compact sets and that they assume their sup and inf therein, and the intermediate value theorem and several consequences of it.

    HWK (Section 18) 4, 5, 7, 8, 9,

F, Oct We introduced the concept of uniform continuity, proved that every continuous function on a compact set is uniformly continous and used this to define the (Riemann) integral of a continuous function defined on a closed interval.

M, Oct We proved that a function continuous in an open interval is uniformly continuous if and only if it can be extended continuously at the endpoints. We also show a new equivalent defintion of continuity for functions from a metric space to another (preimages of all open sets must be open).

    HWK (Section 19) 1, 4, 5, 6, 7, 11, (Section 20) 11, 14,

W, Oct We finished section We saw that for a continuous function from a metric space to another the preimages of open (resp. closed) sets are open (resp. closed), and that the images of compact sets are compact. We also saw several counterexamples to several similar statements.
We shall have a short quiz on Friday.

    HWK (Section 21) 1, 2, 4, 5, 8, 9, 10,

F, Oct We discussed some homework problems and had a short quiz.

M, Oct Pointwise convergence of a sequence of functions to another and how several properties of the functions in the sequence fail to propagate to the limit function. Power series and their radius of convergence. Sveral examples. Deifinition of uniform convergence of a sequence of functions to another. The metric space C[0,1] with the "sup" distance function that gives uniform convergence.

    HWK (Section 23) 1, 2, 6, 7, 8, 9.

W, Oct We proved that a uniform limit of continuous functions is continuous. We also saw several examples and counterexamples.

    HWK (Section 24) , 10, 11, 14,

F, Oct Uniform covergence on a finite interval implies convergence of the integrals to the integral of the limit function. We saw that this is not true for unbounded intervals. Defined what it means for a sequence of functions to be uniformly Cauchy and saw that this is equivalent to the sequence possesing a uniform limit. Proved the Weierstrass M-test which helps us prove that some series of functions converge uniformly.

    HWK (Section 25) 2, 3, 5, 6, 12, 13,

M, Nov 2: We proved that power series can be differentiated or integrated termwise, in their interval of convergence.

For Graduate students only: For those of you who want to receive the extra credit for the course your task will be the follwing. I am going to put on reserve in the Math Library the book "Introduction to topology and modern analysis", by G. F. Simmons. You should read from there Chapter Two (Metric Spaces). You should read all the material and do all problems (or, at least, all but very few). You will then be examined (either orally or in writing, and not before December the 1st) on your understanding of the material (which includes the ability to solve problems).
Those of you who are going ahead with this project (i.e. those of you who want the extra credit), should let me know by the end of the week (11/6/98) by e-mail that you are going to do so.

The 2nd test will take place on Nov 19, pm, at Chem Annex. The material to be examined is everything that I shall have tought by the previous Monday.

W, Nov 4: We proved Abel's theorem and discussed Taylor series expansion of a function. Also stated the Weierstrass approximation theorem (did not prove it) and saw several ways that assumptions it makes cannot be relaxed.

    HWK (Section 26)

F, Nov 6: The derivative of a function at a point. Rules of differentiation and their proof.

NO CLASS for the week of the 9th of November. We resume on Monday the 16th.

M, Nov We covered the first 4 problems from the sample exam that I gave you 10 days ago.

EXTRA CLASS on T, Nov 17, at 7pm in Altgeld.

W, Nov The mean value theorem and its applications.

    HWK (Section 29) 1, 3, 5, 9, 13, 14, 16,

F, Nov We went over the problems that were on the test of yesterday.

    NO CLASS on Monday, Nov

2nd test grades are here. The maximum grade is 45 (problem 2b was not taken into account).

W, Dec 2: We started section 32 (the definition of the Riemann integral of a function). We defined the lower and upper sums corresponding to a certain partition of the interval [a,b], and the lower and upper integrals of a bounded function on [a,b]. If these are the same the function is called Riemann integrable.

Extra class on Tuesday and Wednesday, Dec. 8 and 9, in Altgeld Hall at 7pm. Please come with questions.

F, Dec 4: We completed section 32 (the Darboux and Riemann integral) and showed that the two definitions of integrability are equivalent.

    HWK (Section 32) 2, 3, 7, 8.

The Final Exam will take place on Wednesday, December 16, am, in the same room where the class is being tought.

M, Dec 7: We proved that monotonic and continuous functions are integrable, that sums of integrable functions are integrable, the trinagle inequality for integrals, and more.

    HWK (Section 33) 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 13,

Extra class on Tuesday and Wednesday, Dec. 8 and 9, in Altgeld Hall at 7pm. Please come with questions.

W, Dec 9: The Fundamental Theorem of Calculus.

    HWK (Section 34) 2, 3, 5, 6, 10,

Your final grade will be computed as follows. It will be the maximum of your final exam and *final + *(first test) + *(second test).

    Final grades are here.

    CS 50 Homework Assignment 9

    LAST HWK
Early Due: Thursday, April 23 at 10 PM.

This is a continuation, re-do, of the grades program which you have seen before. In this case, the program maintains a database of student records for the registrar. Each record will contain the following information:
    • ID Number -- An
    • Last Name -- A
    • First Name -- A
    • Expected Year of Graduation -- An
    • Major Cumulative GPA -- A
    • Overall Cumulative GPA -- A

The program begins by getting the maximum number of student records via an argument to the program. The program then allocates an array of that many object references. Note, that the array has a size fixed at creation, but the number of actual records in the array at any time is a separate value. This value must be passed around with the array. Once the array has been allocated, the program continues by displaying the following status message and menu:

You will need to write a method, , which takes a single student object and displays it on a line. Print the field values in the order in which they were listed above. Use 15 character fields for each part of the name and 10 character fields for each of the other parts of the record. Call from the method which takes as parameters the array of all the records and the number of records in use. It should print a heading for the report, labeling the columns, and then call to print the data for each student in turn.
    2. Display Student Records for Given Year -- Prompt the user for a year of graduation. Display a report similar to the one for the last option, but restricted to students that have the specified year as their year of graduation. Display the report with the method which takes the record array, the number of records in the array, and a year of graduation to restrict the report to.
    3. Identify Honor Roll -- As above, but restrict the report by prompting for a cutoff GPA and passing it (along with the array and number of records) to , which displays the records of those students for whom BOTH of their GPAs are at or above the given cutoff.
    4. Identify Students in Trouble -- As above, but the method prints a report on those students for whom EITHER of their GPAs is at or below the given cutoff.
    5. Display Individual Record by ID Number -- Prompt the user for a Student ID Number to search for. Pass the array of records, the number of records in the array, and the desired ID number to , which should return the desired student's index in the array, or -1 if that student is not in the database. Depending on the result, either display the student's record (with column labels) or print an appropriate error message.

Note, does not display the record, it merely returns the index to the calling method. It is that method's responsibility to print column headings and call .

You may assume ID numbers are unique.

    6. Display Individual Record by Name -- As above, but prompt for a first and last name rather than an id number, and pass these, along with the array and number of records to .

This is not the only valid approach. Make your own choice, just document what you have done.
      • String comparison does not work using == . Also, one can concatenate 2 strings and then compare the combined string to someother string.

      Programming Particulars

One could do this program twice, first as a general program with no concern for objects and second as a set of cooperating objects. Rather than do it twice, you are to implement using objects with behavior. You should center the design on two classes:
      1. ,
which stores the information and behaviors for a single student. Its behaviors include:
        • prompting the user to input values to fill in its fields,
        • printing itself out on one line,
        • responding whether its is in trouble
        • or on the honor roll (given some cutoff gpa), etc.
      2. ,
which is built around an array of s. Its behaviors include:
        • adding new students to itself,
        • sorting itself by student name,
        • sorting itself by student id,
        • printing honor rolls and ITRs, etc.
