  • Designjet 500 error 86.01

    Hello
Can someone help me with this error, I checked many instances and their share, I know that it is caused by a paper jam or a worn belt.
I have this printer from someone who obviously had a go before, he had a missing transport Bush and two screws missing petrol station. I've sorted but there still problem, new belt with very little dust around looks spindle motor, have replaced the cables as soldering a few contacts were ragged and faded, the new trolley and cleaned and oiled guide bars. I also have a new band (not yet equipped) encoding the original looks ok through a magnifying glass. Power it will through diagnostics and transport moves approximately 1/4 "to the left and back to 86.01 position error code, this is the case whenever I post transport. I tried checking the system, but there are locking in an attempt to drive the cart. Can a faulty spindle motor this error code? also the engine Board axis can give same code? If so someone know a method to check one or both of these components.

There may be more that just this fault, I suppose it shouldn't be able to until you press the power button, unfortunately it is one (starts immediately when it is plugged). Also, it is not off in failure mode. Steady green power led turns green after being pressed, constant on and off with the Panel displaying the same error code flashing.

    Any help appreciated
    Rob

  • Designjet 500: error 81:01 continues after changing the sensor roller encoder

OK, as described in the title, I started to conspire problems some time previously, I invetigated one error 81:01 a problem with the sensor roller encoder, I disassembled the plotter past the sensor and I worked for a few months. Now the error is back, so I decided to change the sensor for a new, but the 81:01 error continues.

A few times the plotter says has a paper jam and sometimes, paper begins to roll and dosnt stop.

Can someone help me with this?

OK, the problem was solved by changing the roller encoder sensor, I described in the title, after this error persists, l I demonstrate the tracer again and the stop error after I cleaned the optical sensor of the encoder to roll in the car. So that's been the problem, I hope this can help someone.

  • HP Designjet 500 42: Old problem of driver update

    Hello

I have HP Designjet 500 printer 42 in. And I can't update the old drivers. I downloaded new drivers drivers

Installed new drivers and the printer connected to the computer. Installed printer itself. Driver version but check it shows in 6.08 (preferably printer-> subject) window.

I deleted all drivers using pnputil.exe d Oem # .inf and printui/s/T2 orders. All the drivers of HP has been removed from

    C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository

    and

    C:\Windows\System32\spool\drivers\x64\3

Installed new drivers (8.10) and pluged in the printer. Printer has been installed but with drivers 6.08. So I went to the "print management" as an administrator. Pressed on HP Designjet 500 42 by HP printer 'Manage sharing'-> "Advansed"-> "New driver"-> 'Disc' and in C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository I chose "dsgj510.inf_amd64_* *" folder and the dsgj510.inf file here. But could not find "HP Designjet 500 printer 42 in.". Here only:

    HP Designjet 500 42 + HPGL2 card; HP Designjet 500 plus 42; HP Designjet 500ps plus 42; HP Designjet 500PS42 + HPGL2 card; HP Designjet 510 42 inch printer and HP Designjet 510ps 42-inch printer.

I tried to use HP Designjet 500 42 + HPGL2 card HP Designjet 500 plus 42 drivers. But printer would give an error message and do not print.

With the help of the 6.08 driver version I can print from some software, but I need to print from AutoCAD. And AutoCAD gives me the error message "no: cannot use this configuration of tracer for one of the following reasons: the driver is not found, cannot find the device or the driver has a problem." No device has been substituted. "And I can't choose the HP designjet 500 printer in AutoCAD.

It is a shared printer and other computers on the network have 8.10 drivers and can print from AutoCAD. Single computer, the printer is pluged cannot print because it driver 6.08.

    I found the problem.

On the page under 10 64-bit windows this is only "HP Designjet 500 and 510 HP-GL/2 and HP RTL driver 64 bit" 8.10 drivers. And this driver is not HP Designjet 500 printer 42-inch drivers. But under 64-bit windows 8, here's two pilots. "Driver HP DesignJet 500 PCL3GUI 64-bit" 8.10 drivers and same as above. This file have drivers for HP Designjet 500 printer 42 inches and runs under windows 10.

If HP support lazy to put all work them drivers under windows 10 for HP Designjet 500 printer.

  • HP Designjet 500 42 "do not print

Looking for help with my HP plotter. Recently, I replaced the service station and print transport. I also downloaded the driver (Driver HP DesignJet 500 PCL3GUI 32-bit) and firmware (series of printer HP Designjet 500, 510 and 800 Firmware Upgrade) to new pc XP from the original pc used for printing crashed. The printer displays indication normal and says ready for jobs however when I send a print to the printer it just shows treatment work and transport movements feeling left right at a few times, but the jobs do not print. Also, it seems to stay forever in this (suspended) mode and I have to power the printer off to return to the normal screen ready.

What is a driver/firmware issue or hardware?

If I try to print a configuration page it also does the same thing.

    Thanks in advance.

    Jacob

It is a thin cable error. The ends of the cable have questions or it is not completely sitting in the cart. I guess the cable could be as bad.

  • HP designjet 500 plus network problem

    Hello

I'll need your help. I have the HP designjet 500 printer more and today I bought the HP JET DIRECT 620N NETWORK CARD. I installed inside the socket, connecting the card with an ethernet to pc cable. I went to the installation of hp on the monitor, select Yes for cfg network, ip and dhcp, I reboot the tracer and in the monitor shows he gets the local IP 192.168.1.2 as well as info from rest, which is are in conflict with other devices on the network. The problem is that im trying to find the printer over the network connections on my windows xp pro, but it does not show on the results. I don't see that there is an icon that does not give me an error. I also tried to see my tracer of the firefox browser with the local IP which has achieved and open the menu normally, showing how the network works. I tried several times to reboot pc and tracer in case they are blocked, but got the same problem. Perhaps there is a driver for win xp to see the plotter on LAN? I need to have your help as soon as possible, because a lot of work to do with the tracer and this question comes back to me.

PS I should mention that I currently have a network with 3 pc the on the Office that they link together without any problem.

P.S. This thread has been moved to printers - LaserJet for printers - Designjet & large Format. Forum Moderator - HP

First off there are 2 homes EIO to the back, so you messed up there. With the power off, install the gl2 card in another location and see if you still have the problem. There may be a plaque on the slot, held in place with a screw at the top and bottom. Just remove the 2 screws and remove the cover and install the card.

  • Unable to drawings SolidWorks great impression for HP DesignJet 500 via Server

    Hello

Our company has a HP DesignJet 500 with 24 "Inker for tracing large pages of design drawings created in SolidWorks to our technical workstations.  These workstations all have Windows 7 64-bit with 8 GB to 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of hard drives and intrigue to the drawing via on board our servers (Server 2008 32 bit with 4 GB of RAM), which connects to turn over a connection IP to JetDirect EX Plus (with a sleeve of 10 Mbit / s and a CAT 5 network cable) and a parallel cable.  Lately we had problems tracing of parts of very large assembly drawings (100 MB + size), by which desktop lock when trying to trace.  They can even preview before printing (print dialog box disappears when the user clicks the Preview button).  Restart the plotter and the JetDirect gave no results better.  The server has plotter driver installed v6.08 (data file version 2.1), and the tracer itself is on firmware 3.03 version.  No errors are appearing on the plotter except an error of 79:04 in December.  Tracing a bitmap file doesn't seem to be a problem, but I could not try the other formats again.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks in advance,

    Michael

In the properties of the driver, there is a tab services which must display a troubleshooting icon and you can click on "Run as bitmap".  This will allow the desktop process files to print instead of the printer, which cannot process large files.  It is the only way to execute works of old printers not designed to process.

  • Designjet 500 proposed purple colors AutoCAD printing gray

We used the Designjet for years and have several colors put in place to print gray and projected (252, 253, 254 and 25).  They have recently started with purple print.  I have run all diagnostics and calibrations and alignments available, and they are all good.  I looked at several troubleshooting sites and had no luck.  I use AutoCAD v 13.

Assuming that the print heads are out of all the colors correctly, try this:

The printer HP Designjet 500 and 800 series printers have a fix that was implemented in the version of firmware A.02.08 and higher. This hotfix provides additional media profiles that prevent blue to mauve color output change. This fix is only applicable to the series 500 and 800 and only if the printer has a version of firmware of A.02.08 or higher. Once the firmware has been upgraded, follow the steps below to make the appropriate changes in the Panel menu front printers:

    1.

Highlight the menu paper icon on the display on the front panel of the printer and press ENTER.
    2.

Scroll to the paper type and press ENTER.
    3.

Highlight Enhanced colors and press ENTER.
    4.

Select the type of paper there and then press ENTER.
    5.

Press the Menu key to return to the normal display of front panel

  • HP DesignJet 500: HP DESIGNJET 500

General question... I am looking to buy a little used designjet 500 and do not see in the characteristics of the product, if it is a printer and strawberry.  Can someone tell me if the designjet 500 printer 24 inches offer traced functions designed to make signs or conrour cuts?

    Thanks in advance,

    Ken

    Hello Ken,

Designjet 500 has the ability to cut the paper/online support right (at the end of the print job to the Cup/entity roller ring at the end of the print job), but I do not think that this option fits your requirements.

IIS on Windows Server 2012 R2 8.5 sends error 401.2 when change password Administrator windows local, 500 errors

This particular configuration is with Coldfusion 11. There is no errors in newspapers and the w3 service still works as are application pools. All websites and app pools run with transmission of authentication request.

ColdFusion does not work with windows authentication and may be enforced as if reconfigured integrated instance to do this, if this isn't a matter of colfusion.

    Here is what I tried:

1 I created a new user account with admin rights and disconnected and logged in as them and then make changes to the password on the server, and that didn't make a difference.
    2. I checked that all Web sites using the request pass through authentication.
    3. I checked that the application pool is also using the application-pass-through authentication.
    4. I looked to find errors in which case newspapers but don't see anything there either
    5. I also searched a failure in coldfusion logs and saw no more relevant here either, but I got colfusion running without IIS in any case.
    6. search of the roots of web for coded passwords hard and found nothing.

If you have any ideas or any ideas let me know.

  • Designjet 500 24 '': hp designjet 500

I just got the printer HP Designjet 500 24 "."  I downloaded the drivers there.   I went to devices and printers and clicked on the new printer.  The designjet is not discovered.  Tried to do it manually, but I don't know my way around that.  Any tips?

I deleted all of the printers I had and restarted the computer and tried to add again.  No dice.  He is grateful to my other main printer without problem.  Do not know how to move forward to get the designjet recognized so I can start printing my game.

I went to the properties of the print server and the driver installed there - "HP Designjet 500 24 by HP" that still did not help.

I found a link that has helped to explain how to add a local printer by using the tcp/ip address or the host name.  I finally got to work!  I struggled for a good 3 hours trying to find different ways to add.

  • HP Designjet 500 more: DRIVER FOR HP Designjet 500 FILE more

    Hello

HOW to GET Designjet 500 more DRIVER FOR Windows 10 Enterprise 64 - bit OS

Windows 10 is not released until July 29, pilots and what products will be supported probably won't be out until close.  The HP page here says "compatibility tool soon, come back in the end of July."

That said, I use the old driver Windows XP x 64 on my decades old Designjet 650 c in Windows 10 preview.  I think Windows 7 or 8/8.1 drivers work in Windows 10 for the Designjet 500 if there is not drivers provided.  At this point there are sixteen variations of HP Designjet 500 models available through Windows Update, including variants of the 24 "and 42" models, standards, and only, HP and Microsoft provided drivers PS mono models and color and HPGL2 drivers.

  • Windows Media Player 500 error while finding the album info

Trying to find info on the album, I get an error "500" in the box that opens. I tried to reset the internet Explorer, and that did nothing. Sometimes, he won't give the 500 error immediately, but it will pop up after a link or two and not quite a long time to get the information. Is there a problem with the database from Microsoft now?

Hi, looks like they fixed, at least for me! In the meantime, I used a program called mp3tag who worked to my satisfaction. When I added an album with labels written in the mp3 of this show, WMP is still the image of the album as 75% of the time automatically. Now that the integrated working again, I rewrote with WMP data tags. GL everyone!

  • Designjet Plotter Error Codes

The HP Designjet error code displayed on your large format (wide format) printer e.g. 11:11 86:01 79:04 does not always provide an exact indication of the problem or issue - and you (the user) will often be unable to diagnose or fully resolve the Designjet fault yourself - even with the error code information provided here.

HP Designjet error codes are not an exact science. They exist to help the engineer diagnose key areas for assessment, and can often indicate one or more parts have failed. It is not unknown for HP engineering manuals to omit reasons for certain error codes (or even omit the error codes themselves!). This is where it pays to engage experts in the field of HP Designjet repairs so that you receive the fastest and most cost effective fix. Based upon the reported fault, a trained and qualified HP Designjet engineer will usually work through a pre-defined set of tests and apply many years of working knowledge to effect the fastest repair - choosing those parts first which he knows will usually resolve the fault rather than systematically working through the manual.

    Service station failure

    Recommended action

    Possible causes could be:

    • The steps counted by the service station motor are not consistent with the expected length of the current movement.
    • The aerosol fan has reached its maximum current limit. If your printer actually has an aerosol fan then the printer is very old. This fan has been removed (dis-included) from the printer assembly long ago. Service may be required to replace the service station and/or related components.
    • The service station motor has shut down because of blockage. Service may be required to remove Debris, adjust or to replace the service station and/or related components.

HP offers no technical support for persons who are not qualified to provide HP Warranty repairs.

Example: Replacing the trailing cable on any DesignJet Printer is not a user service. This is very technical and requires HP-Qualified Service Technicians in order to qualify for HP Warranty coverage. In any case, one who renders repairs to HP Designjet printers (self-help) is strongly recommended to refer to the applicable HP Service Manual, updates and service notes. However, please be aware that HP Service Manuals, technical updates and service notes are published available only for HP-Qualified Service Technicians.

    System error 86:01

    Explanation

    Carriage-Axis shutdown.

    Recommended action

If this error code appeared but was not caused by a paper jam, then try the following:

Maybe there is too much friction on the Slider Rod. Enter the Printer Information utility and check the Scan-Axis usage. If the percentage is close to 100%, then lubricate the Slider Rod using the HP synthetic lubricant specific to the printer. Service may be required to replace the Carriage Motor and/or related components.

Maybe the Carriage is bumping into the Service Station. If the carriage is stuck at the right hand side of the Printer and cannot be moved out to the center of the Print Platen, likely it is because the Service Station cannot uncap the Printheads. Do not try to pull on the body of the Carriage. That can damage the Carriage or the Service Station or both. Service may be required to adjust or replace the Service Station and/or related components.

HP Designjet 500/510/800 Printer Series - System Error 05:10

    Introduction:

System Error Code 05:10 indicates a Formatter or HPGL/2 Cardfailure. Further information will be found in the next steps. Follow the steps listed below to accurately troubleshoot the issue.

    Troubleshooting Steps:

1.Turn the printer off and unplug it.

2.Remove the Formatter or HPGL/2 Cardas follows:

a.Remove the Card Cover from the back of the Left Hand Cover.

b.With a flat end screwdriver, unscrew the 2 screws that attach the Formatter or HPGL2 Card to the Electronics Module.

c.Remove the Formatter or HPGL2 Card.

3.Restart the printer withoutthe Formatter or HPGL2 Card.

NOTE: The Designjet 510 and Designjet 800 WILL NOTbe able to completely boot up without the card, it will show a message saying WARNING 05:10(notice that this time it is a warning, not the actual System Error). Once it shows the warning please press the ENTERbutton. This will allow the printer to get to ready mode.

4.If the printer is able to get to ready, attempt to verify functionality as follows:

    a. Select the Ink Menu and press ENTER.
    b. Select Troubleshooting and press ENTER.
    c. Follow the instructions on the Front Panel.

NOTE:After a correct troubleshooting print, functionality has been verified. DO NOTattempt to verify functionality by sending files from the computer as the printer (Designjet 510 and Designjet 800) WILL NOTbe able to process it without the card.

IMPORTANT: The Designjet 510 and Designjet 800will be able to print from the computer (without the Formatter or HPGL2 Card and after pressing the ENTER button to get to ready) if the PCL3 driverfor the Designjet 500 is installed. This can be done as a workaround; however, HP does not assure that this will work for all operating systems. Go to www.hp.com/supportto find the driver. For more information contact HP Technical Support.

5.Once functionality has been verified, turn off the printer and unplug it.

6.Put the Formatter or HPGL/2 Card back in.

    7.Restart the printer.

    8. If printer shows the System Error code again, turn it off and unplug it. If not, check functionality.

9.Remove the Network Cardand install the Formatter or HPGL2 Card in that slot.

NOTE: If there is no network card installed then there will be a metal cover protecting the slot. If so, remove it and install the Formatter or HPGL2 there. Any slot is suitable for any card.

    10.Restart the printer.

NOTE: At this moment if the System Error persists, the Formatter or HPGL2 Card needs to be replaced. However, if it works on that other slot (network) then it means that the problem is the port on the Electronics Module, if so, this component will be the one needing to be replaced; a certified technician will be needed for this. E-Module will need to be replaced also if the printer shows the System Error (not warning) without the Formatter or HPGL2 card or if the printer (Designjet 510 or Designjet 800) is unable to get to ready after pressing the ENTER button when it shows the warning.

11.If printer shows the System Error code again, replace the Formatter or HPGL2 Card. If not, check functionality! Part number for the Formatter or HPGL2 is subject to change.

NOTE: If you have questions or doubts, or if more assistance is needed please contact your HP Representative or call HP Technical Support.

HP Designjet 500/510/800 Series Printers - System Error 21:10

    Introduction:

This document explains the general procedure to troubleshoot, isolate and solve System Error Code 21:10 or 21:11. This System Error refers mainly to the Service Station. However, in some cases, it can be also caused by other components.

Follow the steps listed below to accurately troubleshoot and isolate the problem.
    Troubleshooting:

    1.Disconnect the power cord.

    2.Open the top window.

3.Manually move the carriage to the left (out from the Service Station).

NOTE: If the carriage does not manually move to the left, DO NOT FORCE IT. Try to restart a couple of times. Check if it is able to automatically come out at any point while trying to initialize. If so, unplug the power cord immediately. If even after this, the carriage is STILL NOT able to come out, contact technical support for specific instructions about unlocking the carriage.

    4. Check for any visible obstructions (printing area and Service Station).

NOTE: If the carriage was able to move to the left, manually move it from side to side a couple of times making sure that there are no obstructions:

    • Check that the carriage belt is in good conditions (tight and not worn-out or shredded).
    • Clean and oil (synthetic oil) the carriage rod.
    • Check that the Trailing Cables are flat and move freely following the movement of the carriage.
    • Clean (not scratching) the Encoder Strip (using a non-abrasive liquid and a lint-free cloth).

IMPORTANT: Damage on ANY of the previous parts mean replacement of it as this will cause quality issues, errors or messages.

    5. Remove all PRINTHEADS (PHs) from the carriage.

NOTE: In order to remove the PHs, release the blue latch on top of the carriage, then lift up the carriage cover. Use the blue handle on every PH to lift them up. Once they have been removed, make sure to properly close the carriage cover (blue latch engaging the purple hook), then leave the carriage in the middle of the printer. Close the Window.

    6.Reconnect the power cord.

    7.Restart the printer.

NOTE: If all goes fine, the printer will ask for PHs instead of showing the System Error. If the printer shows the System Error again, disconnect the printer for some seconds, reconnect it and restart. If required, repeat this process at least 3 more times. If the System Error definitely persists after several times, most likely the Service Station needs to be replaced.

    8. Put the PHs back in when asked to do so.

NOTE: Once the printer asks for PHs, press ENTER to start with the replacement. The carriage will automatically come out of the Service Station. Then the display will ask to open the window and proceed with the replacement. Once they have been inserted, make sure to properly close the carriage cover (no need to move the carriage) and window.

IMPORTANT: Every PH has its own expiration date stamped on it. Expired PHs can be the cause of the System Error. If any rejection of PHs appears while replacing them or if the printer is unable to finish the PH alignment, then the expired PHs need to be replaced with new ones in warranty. If the issue gets solved but continues to appear from time to time, it is also important to replace them.

    9. If no issue persists, verify functionality.

    10. If the issue persists, perform FIRMWARE (FW) update.

NOTE: This is recommended ONLY as the last step and ONLY if the FW is not up to date. On the other hand, feel free to update the FW if the printer is able to get to ready at any point. This will improve the general functionality of the device.

IMPORTANT: For the DJ 500, it is recommended to remove the HPGL2 card (if installed) before updating the FW. For doing this, remove the Card Cover from the back of the Left Hand Cover. Then unscrew the 2 screws attaching the HPGL2 card to the Electronics Module. Finally, pull out the card.

To update the FW follow the next steps (it will ONLY work if the printer is connected via USB to the computer):

    a. Download (www.hp.com/bizsupport), save and unzip the update file to your computer.

    b. Ensure that the printer is SPECIAL X MODE (this is needed as the printer is not able to get to ready):

    • Disconnect the power cord.
    • Press the CANCEL button.
    • Reconnect the power cord (while still pressing the CANCEL button).
    • Wait until the display shows a flashing ‘X’.

    c. Run the unzipped executable file. A program will be installed and then it will look for the printer automatically.

    d. Follow the instructions to perform the update.

    e. Once the update is complete, the front panel will indicate that the printer must be disconnected.

    f. Disconnect the printer, wait some seconds and then reconnect it.

IMPORTANT: If the printer is able to get to ready at any point, there is NO need to put the printer in special X mode. It will be detected via USB or Network.

    11. If even after following all the previous steps the issue persists, if you have questions or doubts, or if more assistance is needed, please contact your HP Representative or call HP Technical Support.

      Designjet Plotter Error Codes

      Designjet 500 error 22:10

      Kind regards

    • Thread: HP Designjet 500 Error 79.04

Well for starters, 79:04 doesn't mean there's a problem with the firmware. It means there's a problem with the printer that the firmware doesn't have a specific error code for. Updating the firmware is unlikely to resolve the issue. That's not to say you shouldn't update it; the 500 has an issue with certain-dated printheads where it will reject them, and HP put out a new firmware to resolve that issue. I would only apply it IF you're experiencing a problem with new printheads being rejected.

Lance, I'm not sure what you're describing; it doesn't sound familiar to me, sorry. You can just send the .fmw file to the printer by copying it to LPT1 at a DOS prompt but the printer has to be ready to receive a print.

When does the printer give the 79:04? On startup? When sending a print? Can you get into the service menu (power up holding up and enter?) If so, do the the (limited) tests pass, like the carriage and paper tests? Have you tried powering it on with all consumables removed? (Inks, printheads, paper.)

      4. If the file is PostScript, check to see if it is binary. If the file is binary, use AppleTalk to send the file to the printer. If AppleTalk is not being used to send the binary file to the printer, change the printer's internal PostScript settings to Binary (Set-up menu, PS settings, Encoding, Binary).
      5. If the error occurred while trying to access the IO Menu, then there is a solution : just upgrade to firmware A.02.08 , which in fact solves this problem. The root cause was the combination of hostname (printer name) and domain name exceeding 31 characters. The maximum length has been extended to 255 characters for an IP address and to 47 for an IPX address.
      6. If the error message persistss, check for a new release of the driver and/or upgrade the printer's firmware. Instructions on upgrading the printer's firmware

There may be debris or an object in the path of the Carriage. Check the Carriage movement area for obstructions and remove debris that is blocking the Carriage movement. Service may be required to replace the Carriage and/or related components.

Removing/Installing (formatter card, HP-GL/2 card, Jetdirect print server)

      1. Turn the printer off and unplug the power cord.
      2. Remove the accessory card cover from the back of the printer (right-side of printer looking from the back).
        Refer to the following caption
      3. With a flat end screwdriver, unscrew the two screws that attach the Formatter card, HP-GL/2 accessory card, or the Jetdirect print server to the Electronics module.
        Refer to the following caption

The 500 and 800 series printers have different cards (Formatter, HP-GL/2 accessory, or Jetdirect print server) that may or may not be installed in the printer (optional with some printer models). The preferred slot for the Formatter card and the HP-GL/2 accessory card first slot in the printer (outside slot). The preferred slot for the Jetdirect print server (optional, depending on model) is the inside slot.

The Formatter card, HP-GL/2 accessory card and the Jetdirect print server will work in any slot, as the EIO slots are interchangeable. Therefore, the cards can be swapped with a different slot for additional troubleshooting purposes.

      4. Remove the Formatter card, HP-GL/2 accessory card, or the Jetdirect print server as needed.
        Refer to the following caption
      5. Reinstall the applicable card into the necessary slot.
