issues such as tax reform and environmental regulations in , along with the next

steps on health care. Our panelists of Washington insiders will share their insights and

take questions on the election results and their implications for these issues and policy

implications for labor law, trade agreements, defense spending and energy policy —

issues that will impact U.S. manufacturing and your business for many years to come.

EDUCATION PROGRAM

The Fabricators & Manufacturers Association, Int’l (FMA),

Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME), Precision

Metalforming Association (PMA), and Chemical Coaters

Association International (CCAI), co-sponsor the sessions

on cutting, finishing, forming & fabricating, lean, management,

stamping, and tube & pipe. All sessions are two

hours in length, offering practical knowledge you can use

right away. Sessions with Tech Tours combine classroom

instruction followed by expert-led guided tours on the

show floor to see technology operating in designated

booths.

The American Welding Society (AWS) presents a comprehensive

lineup of welding education. Led by the industry’s top professionals, programs focus on best practices and

new commercial developments in welding and thermal spray. Events include conferences, seminars, RWMA Resistance

Welding School, professional program, society events, & more.

Continuing Education Credits

Individuals who attend AWS education programs are awarded 1

PDH (Professional Development Hour) for each hour of education

program attendance. Individuals seeking FMA Recertification

Credits will be awarded 2 credits for each conference

session attended (forming & fabricating, cutting, or finishing

tracks) plus an additional 2 credits for attending the show. Individuals

who attend SME education programs may be eligible to

receive one credit per hour attended toward their SMEmanaged

recertification requirements.

Tax Deduction

An income tax deduction may be allowed for expenses of education

(including registration fees, travel, lodging, and meals)

undertaken to maintain and improve professional skills.

(Treas. Reg. Sec. ). Contact your tax consultant for

additional details.

How to Find Sessions

• Use the Schedule-at-a-Glance on pages to get a quick

preview of all the programs offered at the event. Programs

are grouped by eight tracks: Cutting, Finishing, Forming

& Fabricating, Lean, Management, Stamping, Tube & Pipe and

Welding.

• Review the Floor Plan Layout on page 22 for a visual overview

of the meeting rooms where all the FABTECH education and

professional events take place.

• Details of the educational programs available at FABTECH can

be found in the supplemental FABTECH Education

Program. The FABTECH Education Programs are located

next to the ShowDirectory stands in the lobby, the registration

areas in the North Hall Lobby and Central Hall Lobby,

the FABTECH education headquarters, Room N, the AWS

education headquarters, Room N and also available on the

FABTECH mobile app (see page 7 to download the mobile

app now).
