  • Windows Defender Offline Error Code: 0007-80004005? Here’s How to Solve It!

    Our previous tutorial talked about creating a tool that would help any Windows userwho has Windows 7, Windows 8.1 or Windows 10installed in their computers clean it from malware or any other types of malicious programs and codes that can spread, infect or even corrupt files and render the machine useless unless the causes are removed.

    The tool itself needs a USB flashdrive which would serve as the storage media in which the required files would be stored and installed. The good thing about it is that it makes the USB drive bootable in order to help a user to run scans and clean the affected computer even if it already refuses to boot up to Windows.

    windowstechies_925

    If you haven’t heard about this tool yet then we are actually talking about Windows Defender, the built-in antivirus/antimalware program in Windows 10 which is also available for FREEon other Windows operating system versions such as Windows 7 and Windows 8.1. This software program actually has its own offline version built within Windows 10 while there are versions for both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 available for download from Microsoft.

    To learn the steps in creating and using Windows Defender Offline tool in Windows 10, Windows 8.1 and Windows 7, you can read and follow the steps that we’ve shown in our previous tutorial and in case you were stuck somewhere near the final steps in creating the bootable Windows Defender USBtool because of a problem then we are going to fix it in this tutorial!

    How to Solve the Error code:0007-80004005 Problem When Creating Windows Defender Offline USB Tool

    Keeping your computer safe from any kind of malicious program or code than can prey on your important information or even render certain files corrupted is one of the most important tasks of a Windows PC owner. While it is true that Microsoft already made a big step forward in keeping all of us safe by offering Windows Defender for FREE to all Windows users, there would still be instances especially some kinds of malware and viruses that can block this security software from doing its job.

    windowstechies_931

    This is the reason why the offline version of Windows Defenderwas created but problems still don’t seem to give up even with it because many of our readers reported an error that appears near the end part of the bootable media creation process which is described as “Error code:0007-80004005”. This error occurs when the setup file detects that the USB flashdrive being used has been inadvertently formatted as GPTinstead of the default which is MBR.

    Because of the error, Windows Defender Offline could not proceed into formatting the USB drive and loading the needed files to make it a bootable media containing Windows Defenderin it. Thankfully, solving this problem and making your USB flashdrive useful for creating the tool is easy and that’s what we’re going to demonstrate below.

    Diskpart is the Answer!

    In order to solve this error which plagues most USB flashdrives that has been used many times as an installer for Windows OS or any other software, you will need the help of another handy tool which is also built within your Windows machine called “Diskpart”. Launching the tool itself is very easy. First, you will need to launch Command Prompt with administrator privileges.

    windowstechies_951

    To do this in Windows 8.1 and Windows 10, you can press the Windows + X keys in order to pull-up a menu that will appear at the bottom-left hand portion of the screen and from this menu, simply click on the option that says “Command Prompt (Admin)”as shown on the screenshot below.

    windowstechies_952

    Once the Command Prompt tool Window opens, you will need to type in “diskpart” into it (excluding the quotation marks of course) then hit the “Enter” key in order to launch the Disk Partition tool

    windowstechies_953

    After pressing the “Enter” key, command prompt will now launch DISKPART and this is where we are going to do most of the magic in order to let Windows Defender Offline be loaded into your USB flashdrive. Now that the tool itself is open you will need to enter “list disk” (excluding quotation marks) as you can see on the screenshot below.

    windowstechies_954

    This command will show a list of drives that are attached to your computer and the number assigned to them by the DiskPart tool as clearly seen above. To avoid confusion, we suggest that you remove any other USB flashdrive that is attached to your machine aside from the one that you want to use for Windows Defender Offline.

    If you do this, you will only see two drives being detected by DiskPartand of course, the one that has a smaller memory space is your flashdrive while the other one is your hard drive. Normally, hard drive is listed as “Disk 0”while your USB storage device is listed as “Disk 1”. Now, what you need to do is type in “select disk 1” in order for your USB flashdrive to be selected as shown below.

    windowstechies_955

    Moving on, your next move should be showing the details of the drive that you have just selected. This step can actually be skipped if there is only 1 USB flashdrive that is attached to your computer but you can also try executing the command if you wish to. Just type “detail disk” (excluding the quotation marks) then hit the “Enter”key and the relevant information about your disk will show up instantly!

    windowstechies_956

    Once you are sure that you have selected the right USB storage device, you can now clean it from all of its contents. To do this, just type “clean all” (excluding the quotation marks) then press the “Enter”key in order to execute the command. Again, DiskPart might look like it’s not doing anything after you execute this command but it actually does work things out cleaning everything from your USB storage device so just wait until the tool tells you that the cleaning process has completed successfully.

    windowstechies_958

    After the cleaning process succeeds, you can now proceed on to the next step which is creating a primary partition in your USB drive. To accomplish this, you will simply need to type in “create partition primary” (excluding the quotation marks) into the DiskPart tool then hit the “Enter” key as shown on the screenshot below.

    windowstechies_959

    Then you will need to select the partition that you have just created once again and you can do so by typing “select partition 1” (excluding the quotation marks) into the DiskPart tool. After you do so, just hit the “Enter”key to execute the command. This selects the drive ready for reformatting so that Windows Defender Offline can be loaded to it without any problem.

    windowstechies_960

    Now, what follows is setting the partition you have created is active. In order to accomplish this, all you need to do is type in “active”to the DiskParttool then hit the “Enter”key. An active partition is a bootable partition which is exactly what we need in order to get Windows Defender Offline loaded to it.

    windowstechies_961

    Next, you’ll need to format the drive to NTFS which is the recommended file system format for bootable drives. To do this from the diskpart tool, all you need to do is type in “format fs=ntfs” (excluding the quotation marks) then again hit the “Enter” key to execute the command. The process also takes some time but you will see the overall progress on the DiskPart toolWindowas you can see on the screenshot below so you will actually know if the reformatting of the USB drive is done!

    windowstechies_962

    Finally, you will now need to assign a drive letter to the USB storage devicethat you have just reformatted to be used for Windows Defender Offline. To do this, all you need to do is type in “assign” then hit the “Enter”key and diskpart will automatically assign the next available drive letter to the device.

    windowstechies_963

    Once done, the last command that you will need to enter is “exit”and this will automatically close diskpart then take you back to the Command Prompt Window. From here, you can simply exit the Window and proceed to installing Windows Defender Offline into the USB flash drive once again. This time, it should succeed and you should be able to use it for scanning and cleaning Windows 7 or Windows 8.1computers by booting into it.

    To Make the Steps Easier to Follow, Here’s a More Concise Guide

    The guide we’ve shown above is designed for the ordinary types of users who do ordinary tasks in their Windows computers. If you are the geeky kind of Windows user then you can simply follow this concise guide which is arranged in order.

    1. diskpart – {opens the Disk Partition tool in Command Prompt with admin rights}
    2. list disk – {shows a list of all drives and their assigned names by Diskpart}
    3. select disk 1 – {selects your USB storage device}
    4. detail disk – {shows the complete detail of the device you have just selected to help you make sure that it is the right one}
    5. clean all – {removes and deletes all stuff stored in your USB device}
    6. create partition primary – {creates a primary partition in the USB storage device}
    7. select partition 1 – {selects the partition you have just created in previous step}
    8. active – {marks the partition active such as a bootable partition}
    9. format fs=ntfs – {formats the USB drive to ntfs}
    10. assign – {gives the drive a name by choosing the next available drive letter}
    11. exit – {closes Diskpart and takes you back to Command Prompt (Admin) Window}

    If you enter all of these commands correctly according to their order as listed above, you should be able to get your USB storage device up and ready to be used for Windows Defender Offline. Once you are done formatting the flash drive, just proceed on the the Windows Defender Offline setup file then execute it and just follow the steps that we’ve shown in this tutorial. Just be sure that you are connected to the Internet before doing this because the setup file will still need to download around 300MB of files to be loaded into your USB flashdrive.

    Did you find this tutorial helpful? Be sure to share it with your friends who might have also experienced the same problem in creating a bootable Windows Defender Offline tool on a USB storage device. If you’re having other sorts of problems using this tool or any other Windows features and stuff then please feel free to let us know through the comments section below.

    Transaction response codes

    These response codes have been presented for your reference and are derived from the message format defined in Australian Standard 2805.2 (1997).

    It is highly unlikely that you will receive many of these response codes; as a general rule you should use the provided summary response code to determine whether a transaction is approved or declined. Valid response codes are of a two digit alphanumeric format.

    If an unknown response code is returned please contact Westpac with the appropriate transaction details.

    Please note that there are no response codes specific to card verification number mismatches. This is because no financial institutions within Australia currently return any such information if declining a transaction for security reasons. Response Codes are generally returned from the customer's issuing bank.

    Credit card transaction response codes

    Successful card transactions will generally have a response code of 00 - Approved or completed successfully or 08 - Honour with Identification. Other statuses indicate a problem processing the transaction. If you receive a status code starting with 'Q' that you do not understand, you should contact your Client Enquiry Manager with the transaction details.

    For non approved transaction statuses that do not start with 'Q' the card holder will likely need to contact their issuing financial institution for more information about the rejected transaction.

    When doing so you can recommend they:

    • provide the date and amount of the transaction.
    • request specific information regarding the transaction rejection.

    00 - Approved

    This indicates that the transaction has been authorised.

    What authorisation DOES mean:-

    • The card number is valid
    • The card has not been reported lost or stolen (although it may in fact be lost, stolen or compromised [card details improperly obtained or copied] and the card owner is unaware)
    • There are sufficient funds available to cover the transaction.

    What authorisation DOES NOT mean:-

    • An authorisation does NOT confirm that the person providing the card number is the legitimate card holder. The risk remains that the person providing the card number has either stolen or improperly obtained the card.

    Although it is important to obtain an authorisation for each transaction, it does not protect you from the risk of Fraud or charge-back. The risk of fraud remains even though authorisation has been obtained.

    01 - Refer to card issuer

    This indicates an error or problem from the card issuer. The problem may be related to the card holder's account. This response code is often a result of one of the following:-

    • Suspected Fraud
    • Stolen Card
    • Expired Card
    • Invalid CVN
    • Any other rule imposed by the card issuer that causes a decline (e.g. daily limit exceeded, minimum monthly payment not made, duplicate transaction suspected, etc).

    03 - Invalid merchant

    This can indicate a problem with Westpac's merchant configuration. This can also be returned for AMEX transactions when there is a problem with the setup at American Express. This code can be returned from an issuing bank if they don't like the acquiring bank. An example of this would be someone trying to pay their speeding fine with an overseas card. The overseas issuing bank would return a 03, indicating that they wouldn't allow the transaction over the internet for an Australian bank.

    04 - Pickup Card.

    This can mean the card has been reported as lost or stolen. The card holder should contact their issuing bank.

    05 - Do not honour

    This indicates an error or problem from the card issuer.

    The problem may be related to the card holder's account. In general, the reason for this response code may be any of the following:

    • Suspected Fraud
    • Insufficient Funds
    • Stolen Card
    • Expired Card
    • Invalid CVN
    • Any other rule imposed by the card issuer that causes a decline. For example, daily limit exceeded, minimum monthly payment not made, duplicate transaction suspected, etc.

    You should not retry the transaction.

    If you want to attempt to charge the cardholder again then you must consider the following:

    1. Check that the cardholder's details are correct. It is likely you will need to change some of their details.
    2. Check for suspected fraudulent activity and re-attempt using authentication, such as 3-D Secure.

    08 - Honor with identification

    12 - Invalid transaction

    This code is often returned from the issuer when they do not accept the transaction. This can possibly be when a transaction for the same amount and merchant is attempted multiple times quickly for the same card. The card holder should contact their issuing bank.

    14 - Invalid card number (no such number)

    This code indicates that the card number does not exist. Also returned code if an AMEX card is used, but the merchant is not setup for AMEX cards.

    17 - Customer cancellation

    This code will be returned if a user "voids" a transaction through the QuickStream interface or REST API (or "refunds" a transaction the same day it was created before the settlement cut-off). In essence a reversal is performed.

    22 - Suspected Malfunction

    This code normally indicates that the card number was invalid.

    42 - No Universal Account

    This error is returned from some issuers when the credit account does not exist at the issuing bank. This situation is similar to the 14 response code.

    54 - Expired Card

    This error is returned when the card has expired. Check that the expiry date is correct, and attempt the transaction again. If the transaction still does not work, check with the card holder to see if they have a new card with a new expiry date.

    61 - Exceeds withdrawal amount limits

    This error is returned when the card holder does not have enough credit to pay the specified amount. Ask the card holder if they have another card to use for the payment.

    91 - Issuer or switch is inoperative

    This code is used to indicate that the next party in a card transaction timed out and the transaction has been reversed. This may happen between QuickStream and Westpac, or further down the chain. This response may also be returned for pre-authorisation transactions that are manually reversed.

    92 - Financial institution or intermediate network facility cannot be found for routing

    The card number is incorrect. The first 6 digits of the card number indicate which bank issued the card. These are used for routing card requests through the card network to the issuing bank. This error indicates that there is no bank that corresponds to the first 6 digits of the card number.

    No Account

    The QuickVault account token used for the transaction was not found or is not enabled. Please check that the QuickVault account exists and is enabled. You can do this in via the REST API, QuickGateway or by signing into QuickStream.

    Payment response files with a 2-character response code field may report this as rather than .

    Q3 - Payment Gateway Unavailable

    The downstream card gateway was unavailable. The card transaction was not attempted and the transaction record will not exist. When you receive this response code, the transaction will not exist in QuickStream.

    QI - Transaction incomplete

    This status code indicates that a request message was sent to the QuickStream server but no response was received within the timeout period.

    QQ - Invalid Card

    The QQ error code indicates that the card details (card number, expiry date or CVN) are invalid. This could be because the card number does not meet check digit validation, an invalid expiry date was entered, or an invalid CVN was entered.

    QY - Card Type not accepted

    The QY error code indicates that the merchant is not enabled for the particular card scheme. This error code is normally returned for American Express and Diners Club cards, or when a UnionPay debit card is used. Only UnionPay cards are supported.

    Bank account transaction response codes

    (aka Direct Entry Transaction Response Codes)

    In all cases where the response code requires the account holder to contact their bank, it will help if they can provide a date and amount of the failed attempted transaction and specifically ask the bank why they returned that status for the attempted transaction. Otherwise the issuing bank staff may just check the available funds in the account.

    Successful Direct Entry transactions will generally have a response code of G - WBC Exception Processing released successfully.

    Summary CodeDescription
    0Approved. Transactions running on a 3-Day settlement may be reported with summary 0 before the transaction is rejected by customer's bank. When working with a 3-Day settlement period, you should monitor the transaction over the full settlement period.

    2 - Payment Stopped

    The account holder has requested that their bank stop any direct debit transactions. Contact the customer to determine an alternate payment mechanism, or if they wish to stop their service.

    3 - Account Closed

    The account holder has closed their account. Contact your customer to ask for new account details.

    5 - No Account/Incorrect Account#

    Contact your customer to determine if the BSB and account number you have is correct. It may be useful for them to fax you the first page of their bank account statement so that you can check you have the correct BSB and account number.

    6 - Refer to Customer

    Contact your customer to determine if they have sufficient funds in their account, if the BSB and account number you have is correct, and if their account allows direct debit transactions.

    9 - Other

    The banks use this response code as they see fit. If you receive this response code for a customer and you have never had a successful debit for that customer, first check the BSB and account number. This could indicate one of the following:

    • Account does not allow Direct Debit
    • Incorrect Account Number
    • Insufficient Funds
    • Suspected Fraud
    • Any other rule imposed by the account holder's bank that causes a decline (e.g. daily limit exceeded, duplicate transaction suspected, etc)

    G - WBC Exception Processing released successfully

    The transaction is being processed by Westpac. If the debit is from another bank, Westpac has sent the transaction to that bank. When a direct entry transaction is successful, it remains in this response code. When a transaction is declined and returned, the response will be set to a different response code.

    CANCELLED - Customer cancellation

    This code will be returned if a user "voids" a transaction through the QuickStream interface or REST API. In essence a reversal is performed.

    Issue: How to fix Ticketmaster Error Code 0007?

    Hello. I tried to buy a ticket for a show through Ticketmaster and no matter which seat I try I keep getting the 0007 error code. This has been very frustrating. Any tips would be appreciated.

    Solved Answer

    Ticketmaster is the world’s largest ticket marketplace and a global leader in ticketing products and services founded in 1976. It provides the ability for event organizers to easily sell tickets online through their platform. Although the process of booking tickets is usually easy and straightforward, some users are getting error messages that prevent them from buying tickets.

    One error code, in particular, has been making people scratch their heads. Users report that no matter which seat they pick they receive this message:

    Sorry, we could not process your request, please try again later. Error Code: 0007

    The 0007 error code means that the transaction process to book a seat is taking too long to complete. This could be caused by cookies[1] and cache.[2] Although they are small, they do occupy space on your computer. If there are enough of them stored over a long period of time, they could slow down the speed of your computer and other devices.

    That is why you should try clearing cookies and cache to fix Ticketmaster error code 0007. However, this can be a lengthy process if you use many browsers. A maintenance tool like ReimageMac Washing Machine X9 can do this automatically for you with a click of a button. Besides, it can fix various system errors, corrupted files, and registry[3] issues on your device. Otherwise, you can proceed with the manual guide below.

    To windows 7 error 80070017 the steps in creating and using Windows Defender Offline tool in Windows 10, Windows 8.1 and Windows 7, you can read and follow the steps that we’ve shown in our previous tutorial and in case you were stuck somewhere near error status code 0007 final steps in creating the bootable Windows Defender USBtool because of a problem then we are going to fix it in this tutorial!

    This is the reason why the offline version of Windows Defenderwas created but problems still don’t seem to give up even with it because many of our readers reported an error status code 0007 that appears near the end part of the bootable media creation process which is described as “Error code:0007-80004005”.

    In order to solve this error which plagues most USB flashdrives that has been used many times as an installer for Windows OS or any other software, you will need the help of another handy tool which is also built within your Windows machine called “Diskpart”, error status code 0007.

    After pressing the “Enter” key, command prompt will now delphi xe runtime error 217 DISKPART and this is where we are going to do most of the magic in order to let Windows Defender Offline be loaded into your USB flashdrive. Now that the tool itself is open you will need to enter “list disk” (excluding quotation marks) as you can see [email protected] client-core communications error the screenshot below.

    windowstechies_954

    This command will show a list of drives that are attached to your computer and the number assigned to them by the DiskPart tool as clearly seen above. To avoid confusion, we suggest that you remove any other USB flashdrive that is attached to error status code 0007 machine aside from the one that you want to use for Windows Defender Offline.

    If you do this, you will only see two drives error status code 0007 detected by DiskPartand of course, the one that has a smaller memory space is your flashdrive while the other one is your hard drive. Normally, hard drive is listed as “Disk 0”while your USB storage device is listed as “Disk 1”. Now, what you need to do is type in “select disk 1” in broadband2go error 1720 inurl /showtopic for your USB flashdrive to be selected as shown below.

    windowstechies_955

After you error status code 0007 so, just hit the “Enter”key to execute the command, error status code 0007.

    Next, error status code 0007, you’ll need to format the drive to NTFS which is the recommended file system format for bootable drives. To do this from the diskpart tool, error status code 0007, all you need to do is type in “format fs=ntfs” (excluding the quotation marks) then again hit the “Enter” key to execute the command.

    1. diskpart – {opens the Disk Partition tool in Command Prompt with admin rights}
    2. list disk – {shows a list of all drives and their assigned names by Diskpart}
    3. select disk 1 – {selects your USB storage device}
    4. detail disk – {shows the complete detail of the device you have just selected to help you make sure that it is the right one}
    5. clean all – {removes and deletes all stuff stored in your USB device}
    6. create partition primary – {creates error status code 0007 primary partition in the USB storage device}
    7. select partition 1 – {selects the partition you have just created in previous step}
    8. active – {marks the partition active such as a bootable partition}
    9. format fs=ntfs – {formats the USB drive to ntfs}
    10. assign – {gives the drive a name by choosing the next available drive letter}
    11. exit – {closes Diskpart and takes you back to Command Prompt (Admin) Window}

    If you enter all of these commands correctly according to their order as listed above, you should be able to get your USB storage device up and ready to be used for Windows Defender Offline. Once you are done formatting the flash drive, just proceed on the the Windows Defender Offline setup file then execute it and just follow the steps that we’ve shown in this tutorial, error status code 0007. Just be sure that you are connected to the Internet before doing this because error status code 0007 setup file will still need to download around 300MB of files to be loaded into your USB flashdrive.

  • Transaction response codes

    This indicates an error or problem from the error status code 0007 issuer.

    This indicates that the transaction has been authorised.

    What authorisation DOES mean:-

    • The card number is valid
    • The card has not been reported lost or stolen (although it may in fact be lost, stolen or compromised [card details improperly obtained or copied] and the card owner is unaware)
    • There are sufficient funds available to cover the transaction.

    What authorisation DOES NOT mean:-

    • An authorisation does NOT confirm that the person providing the card number is the legitimate card holder. The risk remains that the person providing the card error status code 0007 has either stolen or improperly obtained the card.

    Although it is important to obtain an authorisation for each transaction, it does not protect you from the risk of Fraud or charge-back. The risk of fraud remains even though authorisation has been obtained.

    12 - Invalid transaction

    This code is often returned from the issuer when they do not accept the transaction. This can possibly be when a transaction for the same amount and merchant is attempted multiple times quickly for the same card, error status code 0007. The card holder should contact their issuing bank.

    14 - Invalid card number (no such number)

    This code indicates that the card number does not error loading kombat_armageddon.md.

If the transaction still does not work, check with the card holder to see if they have a new card with unexpected essbase error 1003005 new expiry date.

    61 - Exceeds withdrawal amount limits

    This error is returned when the card holder does not have enough credit to pay the specified amount. Ask the card holder if they have another card to use for the payment.

    91 - Issuer or switch is inoperative

    This code error status code 0007 used to indicate that the next party in a card transaction timed out and the transaction has been reversed.

    Payment response files with a 2-character response code field may report this as error auto-sensing hdd on sata port a than .

Vpn error 711 could be because the card number does not meet check digit validation, an invalid expiry date was entered, or an invalid CVN was entered.

    2 - Payment Stopped

    The account holder has requested that their bank stop any direct debit transactions. Contact the customer to determine an alternate payment mechanism, error status code 0007, or if they wish to stop their service.

    3 - Account Closed

    The account holder has closed their account, error status code 0007. Contact your customer to ask for new account details.

    5 - No Account/Incorrect Account#

    6 - Refer to Customer

    Contact your customer to determine if they have sufficient funds in their account, error status code 0007, if the BSB and account number you have is correct, and if their account allows direct debit transactions.

    9 - Other

    The banks use this response code as they see fit. If you receive this response code for error 1c enterprise server cluster customer and you have never had a successful debit for that customer, first check the BSB and account number. This could indicate one of the following:

    • Account does not allow Direct Debit
    • Incorrect Account Number
    • Insufficient Funds
    • Suspected Fraud
    • Any other rule imposed by the account holder's bank that causes a decline (e.g. daily limit exceeded, duplicate transaction suspected, etc)

    G - WBC Exception Processing released successfully
