Configuring the Autodesk Network License Manager does not have to be an intimidating effort, error lm-23 license file. Following these simple steps should allow you to quickly and easily configure a working NLM on your network. This guide assumes that you have installed the Autodesk Network License Manager into the default install location using the media provided by Autodesk or from the direct download online.
STEP 1: Launch LMTOOLS from the Desktop icon created after installation (or by launching it from the Start menu.)

Next to the “Path to the lmgrd.exe” file click Browse to locate the lmgrd.exe master daemon. The default location for this file should be in the /Autodesk Network License Manager/ folder.
Locate and select the lmgrd.exe file, then click Open to populate the path.
STEP 4: Next to the “Path to the license file” choose Browse to locate your license .LIC file provided by Hagerman error lm-23 license file Company or Autodesk. Click Open to populate the path.

Click “Save Service” to continue. Click “Yes” to the dialog confirmation box.
STEP 7: On the Start/Stop/Reread tab, click “Start Server” to start the license manager service. The status box at the bottom should change to “Server Start Successful.”
STEP 8: You can now verify that the license manager is working from the Server Status tab by clicking “Perform Status Enquiry.” The status box should populate with information. Scrolling down through the data, you should be able to verify your Autodesk feature codes and the amount of licenses that are available.
Congratulations! You have successfully configured the Autodesk Network License Manager. You can now install your Autodesk network licensed products on your clients and point them to the hostname of this server.
Configuring the Autodesk Network License Manager does not have to be confusing or error lm-23 license file. How to download and install the “HASP License Manager”
If you are using a network license, you have to also install the “HASP License Manager”. You must do this manually.
Note: Other drivers are necessary for the protection key (“HASP drivers”); they are installed automatically when installing the software.
On the computer/server hosting the network key, you must install them manually.
These drivers or services may also be called “Sentinel LDK License Manager”, or “RTE (Run-time environment)”, “Run-time installer”.
They also include the “Sentinel Admin Control Center”.
If you encounter problems with your network license, we recommend that you first re-install these HASP drivers, error lm-23 license file. More information…
Installing the “HASP License Manager” as a service (“Hasp Loader”), using the file “lmsetup.exe”
– Locate the Mountains® installation files.
– Open the “Hasp” folder.
If you cannot find your installation files, or if your installation files are too old and do not contain the file “lmsetup.exe”:
– Go to Software updates, and download “DRIVER DONGLE HASP” (“hasp.zip”).
– Unzip the files.
- Right-click and run (as administrator) “lmsetup.exe”, to install the “HASP License Manager”. Choose a language for the installation. Several dialogs guide you through the installation process:
- When asked if you want to install the “HASP License Manager” as an application or as a service, error lm-23 license file, choose “Service”:
- Follow the steps until the final installation.
Note: Once installed, this service is called “Hasp Loader“.
