    • While I have not removed Creation Code (as that is silly) - I have tidied up how it is handled (now deleted if empty. NOTE CR/LF do not count as empty, only spaces and tabs) and you now get a tooltip with the first part of the creation code displayed when you hover the mouse over the instance (this can be switched off in the view options).
    • As an added extra to make the Creation Code even more obvious, if you hold the 'C' key down then any objects with creation code will be highlighted in Red
    • A new option has been added to Views on the Room Editor as well - you can now enable and disable the clearing of the background of the view, it defaults to on (the current default) but you can now disable it, this will speed up the runner if you do. To get a similar effect to the old way (i.e. clear the area between views) then just add an empty room between rooms that is cleared to the correct colour.
    • And it's not all Room Editor love - the Object editor now gets a splitter between the Actions and the Events windows allowing you to resize the windows left to right - giving the Actions window a bit more screenspace (if required)

    • If there are NO sound (mp3,wav etc.) resources included in the program, the audio subsystem will not initialise. This will allow for faster turn around on testing.     How to share a game created with the free version of Game Maker Studio 2?

    Your current problem with creating executables is due to the licence you're using, error creating stand-alone game maker, not (necessarily) the UWP export configuration.

    The Free license for GameMaker Studio 2 gives you full access to the IDE (i.e. usage and assets limitations were removed) and lets you use the application for testing and learning purposes. You can't build game executables and share them with other people though.

    When you export a project, GMS2 creates an exact copy of the project–which includes ALL assets, configuration files and local settings–in a directory of choice.     Overview
