Error blob not found - rather grateful

BlobNotFound error - redirect to default file

We use azure blob for storing website images uploaded by users and link them directly on our website.

E.g. a user uploads myPhoto.jpg file and we store it to maskedsubdomain.ourwebsite.com/Upload/ myPhoto.jpg, on the main website we use the same URL to show the image

Sometimes the image gets deleted or simply do not exist anymore (I'm of course simplifying the UC there are valid reasons for non-having the image anymore)

When we reference the image which doesn't exit Azure Blob returns

Is it possible instead of this message to have a custom one, ideally which returns the default image, something like user-friendly 404

thanks!

Blob not found: Error when uploading tar.gz to Azure storage container using linux script

The portal displays this error

enter image description here

This is the XML error I get when I hit the button

I've been trying to implement a workaround for backing up my IaaS v2 Ubuntu VM in Azure. Thanks to an excellent answer I received on Server Fault recently, I decided the best route would just be to periodically back up my server using tar and a cronjob.

So, I googled "tar backup on linux azure VM" - which brought me to this article, namely: How to do Linux backups on Azure without shutting the VM down.

The tutorial outlines a process which executes the tar command, and then uploads the tar to an azure storage container using the credentials listed. Here is the script in question:

Everything seems to go well, the script runs the backup, and then uploads the tar.gz as a block blob. But, as you can see from the above error, the Blob isn't found. The storage container is set to "Container" (as opposed to "Private").

I have no idea how to even start troubleshooting this. What do I do? Any help at all would be appreciated. Thanks very much!

There are two level of access control when accessing blob data from url of azure storage account's blob container. If either of them reject the public access of the blob, then accessing the url will fail and get an "resource not found" error.

The first level of access control is from storage account's configuration level, it affects all data access belonging to this storage account. "Allow Blob public access" must be set to enabled as below:

The second level access control is in specific container's access level setting. First select the containers in the container list, and then click 'Change access level" link to set the access level to allow public access as shown below

Handle exception for Blob not present scenario in Azure blob delete client in Python

I have thousands of blobs in the container and have a list of blobs to be deleted fetched from some db.

Now, there is no guarantee that the id/name present in the list is present in the blob. so want to do a deleteIfExist kind of a scenario and

error it throws when blob is not present is NOT : azure.core.exceptions.ResourceNotFoundError: Operation which i can write an exception block for.

It throws something generic like : azure.storage.blob._shared.response_handlers.PartialBatchErrorException: There is a partial failure in the batch operation.

Code below :

from azure.storage.blob import BlobServiceClient blob_service_client = BlobServiceClient.from_connection_string(conn_str_for_list) container="name1-entity" # Instantiate a ContainerClient container_client = blob_service_client.get_container_client(container) file_name = "something.txt" fileobj = open(file_name, "r") entityIdsList = [line.rstrip() for line in fileobj] fileobj.close() blobs_list = entitysChunk print(blobs_list) blobs_length = len(blobs_list) # container_client.delete_blobs(*blobs_list) if blobs_length <= 256: container_client.delete_blobs(*blobs_list) else: start = 0 end = 256 while end <= blobs_length: # each time, delete 256 blobs at most container_client.delete_blobs(*blobs_list[start:end]) start = start + 256 end = end + 256 if start < blobs_length and end > blobs_length: container_client.delete_blobs(*blobs_list[start:blobs_length])

Answer

Take a look at the following code:

from azure.storage.blob import BlobServiceClient,PartialBatchErrorException conn_str_for_list = "connection-string" blob_service_client = BlobServiceClient.from_connection_string(conn_str_for_list) container="blob-container-name" container_client = blob_service_client.get_container_client(container) file_name = "blobs.txt" fileobj = open(file_name, "r") entityIdsList = [line.rstrip() for line in fileobj] fileobj.close() blobs_list = entityIdsList print(blobs_list) try: result = container_client.delete_blobs(*blobs_list) for item in result: print(item.status_code) except PartialBatchErrorException as e: print(e.message) print("-----------------------") print(e.response) print("-----------------------") print(e.parts) print("-----------------------") for part in e.parts: if (part.status_code == 202): print("Blob delete request was accepted.") elif (part.status_code == 404): print("Blob does not exist. Consider it deleted.") else: print("Something else happened. You better take a look at it.") print(part) print("==============================")

Essentially whenever there an exception of type , it’s property will have the details about the result of each operation in the batch. You can check the status code of each operation to determine if it was successful () or failed (). If the status code is , you can assume that the blob does not exist.

Blob Not Found Error

I have no changed any settings on how submissions are handled by Plumsail. My account settings are set to their defaults with respect to saving submissions. Again, this form is working in most instances, but failing periodically. I saw this error 2 more time yesterday.

The file size limit setting on the attachment is set to 10240 Kb. The name of the file is "GGC Consent.pdf"

There are several attachments they can include. In this instance, they submitted 2. The details are below. I confirmed that both URLs return a blob error when I try to access the file.

Kopia Forum

I’ve been trying Kopia as an alternative to restic over the last few weeks, backing up to an S3 bucket hosted on my local network by minio. Been liking it so far, particularly the compression and faster maintenance/GC.

Recently I’ve tried snapshot verification and and have come across lots and lots of errors such as:

I’ve tried a few things which have not helped, and possibly made things worse, such as clearing the cache and removing snapshots, but that doesn’t seem to make a difference.

I’m similarly now getting errors during snapshot creation:

e: The snapshot command still seems to return a success exit status despite these errors.

Things that might have contributed:

  1. My network to the S3 server (on minio) has been unreliable and has failed lots of times during snapshot creation.
  2. I’ve been testing maintenance and have run lots of quick and full maintenance runs (on versions earlier than the current one – I know actual GC has been disabled recently)

Any ideas?

I’m not worried about losing the repository while I’m testing but, assuming those messages are a problem, I would like to understand the cause.

The error "blob not found" occurs when receive event data using "event processor host" #8905

I'm using "event processor host"(follow this sample code).

Everything is ok. But there is a weird thing, if I create a new blob container, then use this new blob container to store checkpoint, error blob not found. Then I run the above code from sample, it will throw this error:

The specified blob does not exist

The screenshot of this error:

err1

Even it throws this error, but it can work well and all events can be read.

I also can understand this error, error blob not found, because inside the strogino cs portal error while loading options blob container, there is no such files like 0, 1 for partitions. But this error message is annoying. can you help fix this?

Note: it only occurs for the first time since the blobs for each partition are not created. And this does not occur if I use eph in c#.

Error creating blob: Not Found (404)

Thanks, error blob not found, that actually fixes the problem too.

The .git suffix has caused other problems (misunderstandings) for me in the past.

I guess what comes to mind are two possible remedies:

  1. Better diagnostics in the plug-in itself to look for such (mis)use cases
  2. Better documentation with more examples and troubleshooting tips.

I also notice there is no wiki for this project. If there was, perhaps more people like myself could document our remedies for the issues we have maxtor hdd controller error with.

In spite of the trouble I have had, this plug-in is such a great idea at further automating Maven site generation with GitHub. I hope the GitHub team continue to improve Maven integration this way.
