error 017 undefined symbol tmp

Well, that missing symbol seems to come from libstdc++, so the fact that you're missing it would seem to imply that one of the DLLs you're including was. Starting with a clean Rlibs, I am unable to install (compile) later, which throws an error about an undefined symbol. SLES 11 SP2 is running an older version of libgpg-error0 which is missing symbols libgcrypt11 is looking for. Most likely an incomplete update to SP2 is the.

symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/sprers.eu undefined symbol: gzopen64

Hi Michael,

the last version I used before upgrading was

here is the output of 'env' before and after starting the notebook.

[email protected]~/sage$ ./sage

OpenBSD: undefined symbol '_tthread_timespec_get' #

It looks like this is how it gets defined. If is not defined, then the following happens in tinycthread.h:

In short:

  • The C++ code in later's src/ error 017 undefined symbol tmp callsand if is not defined, that gets replaced with. (When is defined, error 017 undefined symbol tmp, then there's canon pixma 870 error 5100 at all.)

Also note that tinycthread itself is C code, and compiled withwhile the other code from this package is C++ code and is compiled with .

Now, as for OpenBSD, it looks like there was a recent change to time.h, where it defines and declaresbut only if is greater than openbsd/[email protected]#diff-5b9f1ce0effcRR

#if __ISO_C_VISIBLE >= #defineTIME_UTC1/* time elapsed since epoch */inttimespec_get(structtimespec *_ts, int _base); #endif

I suspect that what's happening is that when later's C++ code is compiled, is either not set, or it is less thanso is not set, and the code calls. However, when tinycthread is compiled with a plain C compiler, is >=and so is set, and never is defined.

It looks like is in cdefs.h. When a C++ compiler is used, it needs to be compiled with a C++17 standard for it to set to. That seems strange to me but I'm sure the OpenBSD people have their reasons for doing that.

So to summarize: I believe the link error is happening because the C++ code is being compiled with one C standard, and the C code is being compiled with a different C standard. If I'm right, compiling the C++ code with or may make it work.

It's possible that if you create a personal ~/.R/Makevars file, one or more of the following lines will make it work:

bessie32 FreeBSD12 bit wagyu compile causes undefined symbol error

Looks like I managed to break bessie32 by upgrading her. She's now at projGDAL and before was at proj (or ) can't remember.

Now she's showing this error:

failed (Error encountered creating EXTENSION POSTGIS: /home/jenkins/tmp/pgis_reg_ac1fee0ecc0ceccdb/regress_log) ERROR: could not load library "/usr/local/lib/postgresql/postgisso": dlopen (/usr/local/lib/postgresql/postgisso) failed: /usr/local/lib/postgresql/postgisso: Undefined symbol "_ZNKSt8__detail20_Prime_rehash_policy11_M_next_bktEj"

Have no clue what library would be triggering that.

I'm going to get rid of the configure line for proj that is still in there which it warns should be taken out and hopefully that will fix it.
