Resolved [RESOLVED] "Runtime error '430' class does not support Automation or does not support expected..

    Dear friends,

I am enhancing my company current system in VB. I tried to install the new system in client pc for testing. after succesful installation, when I tried to start to run one of the module after log in, they showed an error message as follows:

"Runtime error '430' class does not support Automation or does not support expected interface"

I found certain solution from website, they suggested to un-register the dll and re-register. between, i never register any dll or exe through regsvr32. For this case, is the dll still is the cause for the error?

If anyone can help me, I am very thankful for that.

Yes, i found to lost some preferences, but after i add it, all the command button lost in my project. the error message in the log file as:
Line 57: Class FlatButton.XFlatButton of control cmdSearch was not a loaded control class.

I noticed the 'XFlatbutton' which i used for my command button did not selected in the project component and also it does not allowed me to add in. The message prompted me:
'Name conflicts with existing module, project, or object library' when i select the component.

Re: "Runtime error '430' class does not support Automation or does not support expected..

I have experienced this error before. It was due to having a compiled exe with MDAC of one version packaged in the setup file but I did an update to the exe and compiled it on a different system with a different MDAC version. When I replaced the exe on the taaget system I got that exact message when the app was run.

The unexpected interface could be from a reference in your exe that is different from your package contained dependancy file(s).

Class doesn't support Automation (Error 430)

  • Article
  • 2 minutes to read

Not all objects expose an Automation interface. This error has the following cause and solution:

  • The class you specified in the GetObject or CreateObject function call was found, but has not exposed a programmability interface.

You can't write code to control an object's behavior unless it has been exposed for Automation. Check the documentation of the application that created the object for limitations on the use of Automation with this class of object.

  • You changed a project from .dll to .exe, or vice versa. If, for example, you have a .dll server already compiled and registered, and then you change the project type to .exe and recompile it, the fact that the .dll and .exe are already registered on your system prevents you from creating either object. You must manually unregister the old .dll or .exe to avoid the problem. This is caused by the combination of project compatibility and changing a project from an .exe to a .dll. In project compatibility, the CLSID is preserved, but not the IID. Since the CLSID is preserved, the class ends up being registered with two servers — one an in-process server, the other a local server. When an instance is created, the in-process one is chosen. When the querying of the interface occurs, the .dll does not support the IID because it's new.

For additional information, select the item in question and press F1 (in Windows) or HELP (on the Macintosh).

How To Fix Runtime Error 430

What Produces Runtime Error 430?

Class doesn't support Automation can most often occur when Windows Operating System is being loaded up. We can identify the origin of error 430 runtime errors as follows:

Error 430 Crash - error 430 locks up any input and it can make the machine crash. This typically occurs when Windows Operating System cannot recognize that it is given an incorrect input, or is unaware of what it is supposed to produce.

Class doesn't support Automation Memory Leak - Error 430 memory leak results in Windows Operating System increasing in size and horsepower utilized, causing poor systems efficiency. Possible causes include failure of Microsoft Corporation to de-allocate memory in the program, or when bad code is executing an "infinite loop".

Error 430 Logic Error - A logical error occurs when the computer produces the wrong output, even if the input is right. This is due to errors in Microsoft Corporation's source code handling input improperly.

In most cases, Class doesn't support Automation file problems are due to the Windows Operating System-related file missing or being corrupted by malware or virus. If your Microsoft Corporation file is suffering from one of those troubles, replacing it with a fresh file should resolve the issue. In some cases, the Windows registry is attempting to load a Class doesn't support Automation file that no longer exists, therefore we recommend running a registry scan to repair any invalid file path references.

Typical Class doesn't support Automation Errors

The most common Class doesn't support Automation errors that can appear on a Windows-based computer are:

  • "Class doesn't support Automation Application Error."
  • "Invalid Win32 Program: Class doesn't support Automation"
  • "Class doesn't support Automation encountered a problem and will close."
  • "Class doesn't support Automation can't be located."
  • "Class doesn't support Automation not found."
  • "Error starting program: Class doesn't support Automation."
  • "Class doesn't support Automation is not running."
  • "Class doesn't support Automation quit."
  • "Faulting Application Path: Class doesn't support Automation."

These Microsoft Corporation error messages can appear during program installation, while a Class doesn't support Automation-related software program (eg. Windows Operating System) is running, during Windows startup or shutdown, or even during the installation of the Windows operating system. Documenting Class doesn't support Automation problem occasions in Windows Operating System is key to determine cause of the Windows problems, and reporting them to Microsoft Corporation.

Creators of Class doesn't support Automation Difficulties

Class doesn't support Automation problems can be attributed to corrupt or missing files, invalid registry entries associated with Class doesn't support Automation, or a virus / malware infection.

Chiefly, Class doesn't support Automation complications are due to:

  • Class doesn't support Automation entry invalid or corrupt.
  • Malware infestation corrupted Class doesn't support Automation file.
  • Class doesn't support Automation maliciously deleted (or mistakenly) by different rogue or valid program.
  • Another program conflicting with Class doesn't support Automation or another Windows Operating System shared reference.
  • Windows Operating System / Class doesn't support Automation corrupt from incomplete download or install.

    Gordon

    Hi Gordon67,

    1. using Microsoft visual Studio 2005?

    2. not this problem occurs when you run any application and let idle or unattended?

    Method 1:
you should first try safe mode and check if the problem persists.

Follow this link provided below to start your computer in safe mode.

Start your computer in safe mode
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/start-your-computer-in-safe-mode

Method 2: If the problem does not recur, then I recommend you perform the clean boot.

Put your boot system helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem. If so, you need to maybe contact the manufacturer of the program for updates or uninstall and reinstall the program.

See the following article in the Microsoft KB for more information on how to solve a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or Windows 7:

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

Note: after a repair, be sure to set the computer to start as usual as mentioned in step 7 in the above article.

    Method 3:

You can also use Event Viewer to search for information on the problem.

Here is an article on how to do it:

The display of the error messages in the event viewer

    Hi sunny1881,

    Welcome to the HP forums!

I see you have a Photosmart C5580 which becomes a Microsoft C++ runtime error when you try to install the software. I'm sorry to hear that, but I will certainly do my best to help you!

I would recommend that you follow through this Re: Error message Microsoft visual c ++ runtime library through my colleague @SuperMario1 as these steps should be able to help solve your problem. This is a long thread, but the steps should help, so take your time and work through it.

I would like to know how it goes for you

    What is going on?

To publish, the compiler creates a class called MainTimeline for all code in frames. By creating a class in a framework, it's be nested in the MainTimeline class... Thus, producing the error.

Okay, I've worked on it with Microsoft, and the actual cause turns out to be:

MS12-060 security update affects the functionality of Access database
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/2748410

This article updated fingers MS12-060, specifically KB 2687441, as the culprit.

It turned out that ActiveX controls on the form (specifically the Microsoft Common Controls 6.0 Toolbar), caused the failure.

The solution was simple: on a patched machine, open each form with an ActiveX control in design mode, compile and save it. It worked for me. Ignore the details of the solution that I wrote in the previous post!

You may need to resave MSCOMCTL. OCX, as suggested in the article, to get your databases to work.

    Hello

Have you made changes on the computer before this problem?

A runtime error is a software or hardware problem that prevents a program to function properly. Runtime errors could cause you to lose information in the file that you are using, causing errors in the file (corrupt the file) so that you cannot work with it, or prevent you from using a feature. Unlike stop errors, errors lead usually Windows or a program to stop working.

    See the following Microsoft article.

What is a runtime error? http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-in/Windows7/what-is-a-runtime-error

I suggest you perform a clean boot and check if it helps.Clean boot will check if any third-party application is causing the problem, as the clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

How to solve problems using the clean boot in Windows: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135

  • Runtime error! R6002 - floating point not loaded support

I use a Hardrive external Transcend to back up my computer, but when I just tried to use the backup software of Transcend I get a runtime error that the decimal point floating support is not loaded
    How can I fix it?

    Hi MZaman5,

A runtime error is a software or hardware problem that prevents a program to function properly. Runtime errors can occur if you are running two software programs that aren't compatible, if your computer has memory problems, or if the computer has been infected by malware.

Therefore, I suggest you to check if there are recent updates available for the program from the manufacturer's website.

Contact the Support transcend for assistance on this issue.

  • Windows media player does not work; get a server runtime error

I took my computer to repair store to have repaired minor problem.  They fixed the problem I had, but in the process they must have done something to Windows Media Player.  I didn't until I got the home computer.  The Media Player is the only problem;  the Media Center works great. Recover a server runtime error whenever I try to do something with the Media Player I really don't want to take the computer to the repair shop, who did a bad job in my opinion, any help would be appreciated.

Search the forum for the server runtime error and you will find several questions on the subject, so one of the suggested solutions might also work for you.

      Anatasia

The unexpected interface could be from a reference in your exe that is different from your package contained dependancy file(s).

the prjUkirin is incorrect, my project should be prjUkirin.dll.. but i added it when i compiling my system. I tried once to remove it, but it does not have any different among remove or remain. Thus i just ignore it.

Need to run the following sequence:

    1) Take a copy of the TD.mdb file for safe keeping.

    2) Use the Windows Add/Remove Programs feature to un-install the Brightstor SRM windows Client

    3) Re-boot the PC.

    4) Download the last version of Vantage Brightstor SRM Windows Client software + last patch and install them.

    5) Start the GUI and try to logon, (do not copy the TD.mdb yet).

    6) If this works, copy the backed-up version of TD.mdb over the top of the newly created one.

    7) Shutdown and re-start the GUI and try to logon again.

If you continue to get the problem is due to a "corrupt" registry and we need to delete the registry BrightStore Storage Resource entries .

    1) Take a copy of the TD.mdb file for safe keeping.

    2) Use the Windows Add/Remove Programs feature to un-install the Brightstor SRM windows Client

    3) Select Start Run type: REGEDIT

             select HKEY_Local_MACHINE

Delete registry BrightStore Storage Resource entries

(under Software / Computer Associates )

if you find any entries under software/sterling software/.--)

                 Remove these entries also.

    4)  Re-boot the PC.

    5) Download the last version of Vantage Brightstor SRM Windows Client software + last patch and install them.

    6) Start the GUI and try to logon, (do not copy the TD.mdb yet).

    7) If this works, copy the backed-up version of TD.mdb over the top of the newly created one.

    8) Shutdown and re-start the GUI and try to logon again.
