    Hello

Start the DirectX using the command * dxdiag *.
There, you should check if all acceleration graphics card options have been enabled.

If that does not help, then you should try to update the graphics driver.
In most cases, the old graphics driver causes these questions because it s not completely compatible with the game.

    Check it out!

    Hello

It's Carlos. I have a portable Satellite A80, and I want to update the display driver to be able to play Call of Duty 2, in need of a Directx 9 .0c compatibility. Yet since it has some new drivers from Toshiba Web site. The last driver I have is compatible with DirectX 9. 0b. But the game does not work in my PC.

Toshiba will issue a new driver in the near future, or should I forget play this game because my laptop becomes obsolete?

    Thank you very much

    Hello

In my opinion, it is not necessary to update the display driver to install DirectX 9 c.
You can download it from the Microsoft DirectX Web site. Then try to install the new application.
Usually there should be no problem to update this version of DirectX.
    Check it out.

  • Error "Library not registered" and "access violation at address . Read of address "while trying to play Call of Duty 2 on Windows 7 64 bit

Original title: Call of Duty 2 on windows 7: first window said: library not registered. After a minute, seven or more pop-up windows to say the same thing: access violation at address Read of address I tried to play Call Of Duty 2 on windows 7 64 premium.  After installation, if I choose to click on the shortcut on the desktop, it keeps invites me to insert the correct CD in the drive.  That right is already in the drive.  If I have the game from the CD autorun, it invites library not registered.  Then opens upward of seven windows or more with the same message: access violation at address Read of address   the map system, game and video have all been updated and installed the latest patch for Call of Duty 2.  The funky thing is, if I use the fix offered for Vista I can get the multiplayer game to work, but the single player mode is still inaccessible.  I tried changing the compatibility, tried to use the option of windows XP mode and tried to open it in a new window and ran it under administrator.  nothing has worked, suggestions?

I have thought about it myself, do what I tried above and activate the function of compatibility with Windows Vista service pack 2.  If you do not know the fix vista, click Start, Control Panel, hardware and sound, click sound, and then click the recording TAB.  Right click on a space in the tab itself, when see her disable devices is displayed click on to show them.  stereo mix is show in the tab, right click on that and turn on.  Only, remember, insert the CD, do not autorun installation just right click on the icon setup on the CD itself and open a new window.  run as administrator and install.  After that, go ahead and install the latest version of Patch for Call of Duty 2.  When all is said and done don't forget to change the compatibility mode to Windows Vista service Pack 2. Note to Microsoft: Windows XP mode is a great idea, except that you dropped the ball twice, #1 - should have a version of it to support windows 7 Edition home premium for topics such as this for the public #2 - you must enable a way to get the video settings within the windows XP mode , in short to make a windows operating system that will play a game out there that has already been done to PC.

  • Call of duty 4 not being not able to install

    Hello

I recently bought COD 4 Modern warfare, and I tried to download it for 3 days now. I tried the trick of compatibility, and not of stuff and I get the same result. After I put in the product key and the installation begins it stops at halfway in the record of Updating pop up components. No error codes only my dvd does up to a mile a minute nothing else. I have windows 7 home 64 bit. AMD quad core proc and 4 GB of ram. Radeon 1 GB graphics card. Please help because I am at my wits end.

    Hi Russell.

I had the same problem but the fact as follows:

Stop installation (Ctrl, Alt, delete) and removed the disc.

Remove all references to Activision and Call of Duty on my hard drive.

    Restarted my PC.

    Connected to the Internet Browser.

    Inserted the disc.

At the installation. You will see that it stops at "Update record of components" but ignore it. As long as your DVD is spinning and you can see that your hard drive blinking power on and off, then the game is downloaded. Just be patient as it takes approximately an hour.

Good luck from Denver to Durban, South Africa

  • Call of Duty 1 download not additional mods on the server

I just got a CM Asus who has windows 8 on it. I played call of duty 1 without any problems on windows 7. I currently have the latest patch installed as well. Now I can only enter the server if I have off downloads and I can't change my name to the unknown player because he filled just with a group of numbers. I tried to update and save this change in the config file for the game that I could before change and change in windows 7 without problem. Windows 8 doesn't let me save my changes in the config file.

I also tried to connect to the server teamspeak servers and I am unable to connect to that as well. I just get an error that says: unable to connect.

I tried to run the game in windows 7, SV3 XP and Vista compatibility modes and I have the same problem. I also ran the game as administrator. I find it very weird whenever I start the game he asked my permission to let things change the game. I have to say yes, or the game does not open. I disabled the windows completely firewall to see if that was the question. Currently, I have no antivirus on my pc because I thought that this could be the problem, so I uninstalled in. But again, it is the same anti-virus software, I had on my pc windows 7.

    I'm fresh out of ideas.

    Hello

I imagine the inconvenience that you are experiencing.

The problem is specific to the call of duty 1 game?

You can check the compatibility of the game with Windows 8 and check:

Start the DirectX using the command * dxdiag *.

You can download it from the Microsoft DirectX Web site. Then try to install the new application.
Usually there should be no problem to update this version of DirectX.

No error codes only my dvd does up to a mile a minute call of duty 2 directx error else. I have windows 7 home 64 bit. AMD quad core proc and 4 GB of ram. Radeon 1 GB graphics card, call of duty 2 directx error. Please help because I am at my wits end.

    Hi Russell.

I had the same problem but the fact as follows:

Stop installation (Ctrl, Error processing nginx - install, delete) and removed the disc.

Remove all references to Activision and Call of Duty on my hard drive.

    Restarted my PC.

    Connected to the Internet Browser.

    Inserted the disc.

At the installation, call of duty 2 directx error. You will see that it stops at "Update record of components" but ignore it. As long as your DVD is spinning and you can see that your hard drive blinking power on and off, then the game is downloaded. Just be patient as it takes approximately an hour.

I have to say yes, call of duty 2 directx error, or the game does not open.

I suggest you to send the query to the Call of Duty support for better assistance forums.

When I was playing call of duty 4 5 minutes from my video card stops work and the restart of the screen.

Then he said: your video card no longer works and the problem solved.
My graphics card is ATI Mobility Radeon HD

    > Then he said: your video card no longer works and the problem solved.
    And? It works now?

Eventually the driver graphic hanging and that's why you have received this message.
It is also possible that the temperature of the GPU was too high and therefore the message appeared.
The COC 4 needs a lot of material resources and everything should run with maximum performance! Therefore, there are more high heat dissipation and this can lead to problems of graphics card.
