Hello, so here is bios error code 00 setup :

Motherboard: Asus Rog Zenith Alpha x399
CPU: AMD Threadripper 2950x
CPU cooler: NZXT Kraken
RAM: Corsair dominator platinum RGB 8x8gb
GPU: RTX 3090
PSU: Superflower 1600w gold

And here is my problem:
When I plug the power cable into the PSU and turn the PSU switch on, the motherboard RGB lights up aswell as an orange LED located under the CPU and next to the RAM, reffered to by the manual as ''bios 1", and the AIO pump's screen lights up aswell (only for 1 second), the other components including the ram don't light up at all.
Then, when I press start to actually boot the PC, I get "code 00 Memory" on the motherboard (which corresponds to non assigned code by the manual) and I hear some clap sound that is rather loud and hits twice like ''tactac . tactac'', the sound is coming from the motherboard I believe. I first thought it was one of my fans blocking onto something given the way it sounded.
I've read probably every single posts about this code 00 on this motherboard and tried :
  • Changing RAM slots
  • Running only 1 stick of ram
  • Checking motherboard's CPU slot for bent pins
  • Checked RAM compatibility with motherboard
  • Removed CMOS for a few minutes and put it back in
On one hand i've got a ''Code 00 memory'' error and the ram don't bios error code 00 light up, on the other hand the RAM is brand new, bios error code 00, compatible, and the other components don't light up either anyways besides the AIO pump for a second, so maybe that's normal? How could I know.
On one hand multiple people have said that this error means it's related to the CPU but on the other hand the chance that I didn't get an actual brand new CPU somehow are small as everything was sealed and the error specifies ''Memory" not "CPU".
On one hand when I recieved my motherboard marked as brand new from a famous retailer it wasn't actually sealed for some reason, and some people said that the "code 00" error could be the motherboard that has issues with capacitors or something, but on the other hand I think they were talking about the older zenith model and I got this motherboard from a reputable retailer as ''brand new'', and everything inside was sealed however.

Besides unpluging everything and pluging back in (which i'm about to start doing now) is there something I can try to either boot it up or at least figure out which component is faulty ?

I don't have other extra components to try troubleshooting that way.

    Hi team,

    I recently built x4 identical PC's with the specs outlined below. They all worked fine for about two months until stackwalk failed error 299 when one of then started showing the error code "CPU CODE: 00" on the motherboard. So 3 out of 4 PCs work without issues, however, only one displays this error. Nothing shows on screen when I boot the computer up. All PC's are running at their default settings, no over clocking of any components.

    I have tried / checked the following and the error still occurs. I was wondering if there is anything else that I could try before sending the motherboard and CPU back for a replacement, bios error code 00.

    What I have tried:
    1) unplug components one by one and restart ( RAM, hard drive, DVD drive, graphics card, wires from the case etc.)
    2) remove motherboard completely from the case to see if there is a short circuit.
    3) remove the CPU to see if there are any bent pins - none as far as I could see.
    bios error code 00 Clear CMOS both via the button and also by removing the CMOS battery for a few minutes.
    5) Switched LN2 Mode on/off.

    The system BIOS provides a basic power-on self-test (POST), during which the BIOS checks the basic devices required for the server to operate.     About POST

The codes appear at the bottom right corner of the system’s VGA screen, after the self-test has progressed far enough to initialize the video monitor. Because the codes might scroll off of the screen too quickly to be read, an alternate method of displaying POST codes is to redirect the output of the console to a serial port (see Redirecting Console Output).

    How BIOS POST Memory Testing Works

    The BIOS POST memory testing is performed as follows:

    POST Code LEDs

    Two LEDs inside the front cover of your server node display the same two-digit POST code output from primary I/O port 80 that is shown on the BIOS screen (the right-most two digits on the lower right of the BIOS screen are the POST code from primary I/O port 80).

    In general, the POST codes change so rapidly that you cannot distinguish individual digits, bios error code 00. Some POST tests take enough time (or pause or stop), however, so that they might be readable if you look at the LEDs through the front panel. Such codes are listed in TABLE 8-2.

    Note - For each cold boot (such as when a blade is re-seated into the chassis), POST testing begins to run and detects system resources for a short while, bios error code 00. After just a few POST codes, the node is turned off or restarted depending on the selected state in the BIOS for AC Power Loss (Always On, Always Off, or Last State), bios error code 00.
