Lo anterior, llevó a una firma de arquitectura que con el tiempo fue integrando el departamento de ingeniería estructural y más adelante el hidrosanitario, para suplir las necesidades de sus clientes, a buscar una metodología de trabajo para diferenciarse en el mercado nacional, que lograra integrar y coordinar todas las áreas adecuadamente y que brindara al cliente una solución constructiva ideal.

El desarrollo de los proyectos bajo una metodología “OPEN BIM”, buscando un ambiente colaborativo entre todos los involucrados, presenta a esta empresa como disruptiva en el mercado colombiano y generar un valor agregado a sus accionistas, clientes y colaboradores.

La aspiración de ser un agente de la transformación digital en el sector de construcción y de internacionalizar el talento colombiano, ha llevo a abrir su capital a inversores que comparten esta visión y deseo de crecimiento.

FASE PRE-BIM

Antes de implementar la metodología BIM, los proyectos eran diseñados en un programa de modelado 3D, con entregables generados únicamente en formatos 2D como .dwg y .pdf y de esta manera, se realizaba una coordinación con las diferentes especialidades, sobreponiendo cada uno con la arquitectura y enviando las observaciones pertinentes por correo electrónico.

Este proceso impedía tener una coordinación eficaz, ya que al revisar los planos únicamente en 2D, se dificultaba entender por completo cada especialidad y la integración entre ellas y la arquitectura, haciendo que la comunicación entre los integrantes del proyecto tuviera muchos problemas, los cuales eran evidenciados en obra.

LA APUESTA A BIM Y AL VDC (VIRTUAL DESIGN & CONSTRUCTION)

Se entendió como empresa que, con las herramientas disponibles en la actualidad, la forma más eficiente de realizar un proyecto ya no era a través de la representación 2D de una idea, sino a través de la simulación del proceso real constructivo de un modelo 3D de esa misma idea. De esta manera, se pueden detectar los futuros inconvenientes y errores del diseño, generando un plan de acción anticipado el cual permite prever contratiempos, sobrecostos, mal manejo del tiempo y decisiones apresuradas al momento de la obra, por falta de comunicación inmediata entre las diferentes especialidades.

De esta forma, llegó la transformación a una empresa vanguardista que no piensa en resolver una sola etapa del proyecto, sino en ver más allá y buscar a través del buen uso de la información suministrada por cada especialidad, soluciones en todas las etapas del proyecto.

LLEGA OPENBIM

Cada especialidad de los proyectos es diseñada con el apoyo de una herramienta tecnológica con un alcance específico. En el caso del área de arquitectura se decidió trabajar con el software ARCHICAD de GRAPHISOFT, incluso desde antes de implementar la metodología BIM, ya que así los resultado toman menos tiempo y son más eficientemente mediante la vinculación de todos los segmentos de diseño tales como modelo, plantas, cortes, fachadas, entre otras.

Al tener una interfaz intuitiva y amable con el usuario, la curva de aprendizaje fue rápida, aspecto atractivo para el equipo de trabajo al estar dentro de un proceso de cambio y adaptación a metodologías nuevas.

ARCHICAD es pionero en el tema BIM, ha sido desarrollado desde sus inicios como una herramienta para arquitectos y ha entendido las necesidades de éstos a lo largo del tiempo, lo cual es evidente a la hora de diseñar y construir un modelo.

De igual forma, en la especialidad hidráulica se optó por ARCHICAD con su extensión MEP, ya que la misma herramienta permite trabajar los sistemas de instalaciones y facilita la comunicación entre estas áreas.

Por otro lado, para el detalle estructural, se eligió TEKLA STRUCTURE de CONSTRUSOFT el cual permite llegar a un nivel de detalle LOD400 a través de modelado paramétrico. En estructuras metálicas y de concreto permite coordinar el proyecto, llevándolo incluso hasta la gestión, definiendo los procesos constructivos y teniendo en tiempo real las cantidades.

En cuanto al cálculo y diseño estructural, se escogió SAP2000 ya que permite realizar análisis de diferentes tipos de estructura sin importar el material en diferentes grados de complejidad. Sumado a que, dentro del gremio se encuentra bien posicionado, lo que permite que las discusiones con las entidades encargadas de las revisiones no se centren en la herramienta si no en el proyecto estructural como tal.

La razón principal para elegir estas herramientas, es su posibilidad de ser interoperables, permitiendo tener un flujo de trabajo colaborativo entre el modelista estructural y el diseñador.

IMPLEMENTACIÓN BIM

El flujo de trabajo actual consiste en tener una comunicación permanente entre todos los actores del proyecto mediante las plataformas BIMCLOUD y TRIMBLE CONNECT.

El área de arquitectura inicia con el diseño de esquema básico y lo socializa con el cliente, se aprueba y se pasa a la etapa de anteproyecto. Una vez aprobado el anteproyecto a nivel arquitectónico, se socializa con el área de estructura y se da inicio al diseño estructural.

Los dos modelos generados en la etapa de anteproyecto (arquitectura y estructura) son coordinados y se realiza una tercera socialización en la que intervienen los especialistas técnicos para iniciar los diseños.

En este momento llega la etapa de proyecto, en la que se coordinan todos los modelos entre sí y se genera el reporte de colisiones hacia cada especialista, quienes son responsables de realizar todos los ajustes pertinentes en los diseños.

Por último, se realiza la entrega al cliente y la constructora del modelo federado, junto con planos en PDF y memorias de cálculo del proyecto.

FASE POST-BIM

En la etapa de diseño, BIM ha permitido tener un trabajo colaborativo entre el equipo reduciendo los tiempos de ejecución de los proyectos en este proceso. Al trabajar en un programa BIM el margen de error en los planos generados ha disminuido, ya que al cambiar o ajustar cualquier elemento, se ve reflejado en toda la documentación vinculada al proyecto, teniendo la información actualizada en tiempo real.

En la etapa de coordinación existe una comunicacón directa con todos los especialistas, y al integrar todos los modelos se evidencia y comunica fácilmente los problemas presentados.

Por último, en la etapa de obra, el constructor tiene un entendimiento global y detallado del proyecto entregado, generando un reporte exacto de cantidades y con garantía de un proyecto completamente coordinado.

ÉXITO CON OPEN BIM

Se han cumplido las expectativas al lograr entregar un modelo federado que incluye todas las disciplinas integradas y coordinadas, abarcando desde la geometría del edificio hasta las cantidades y propiedades de todos los elementos, información que será indispensable para las siguientes etapas 4D y 5D en las que el constructor podrá desarrollar el proyecto sin mayores contratiempos.

Al entenderse BIM como una metodología y no únicamente como una serie de programas, la comunicación entre todas las especialidades se realiza fácilmente por medio de un formato estándar .IFC, el cual permite el intercambio correcto de datos e información de diversos modelos. De esta forma, se garantiza la comunicación entre las disciplinas sin pérdida de información.

Dentro del esquema de trabajo, tanto interna como externamente, es esencial trabajar la interoperabilidad y el intercambio de información mediante .IFC.

  2. Under Power, select Configure Switchable Graphics for Applications
  3. Click Add Application, add Icad or MSEmbed to the list of applications, and then choose High Performance instead of Power Saving.

NVIDIA graphics card

  1. Right-click anywhere on the desktop and choose the NVIDIA control panel.
  2. Click Manage 3D Settings.
  3. Click Program Settings and add Icad or MSEmbed. Change the preferred graphics processor to High-performance NVIDIA processor.

How To Fix The GSRoot.dll Error On Your PC

The way to fix GSRoot.dll errors on your system involves making sure that your ArchiCAD program is working properly. Do this by re-installing the application and fixing the different file settings associated with the DLL file. To re-install the application, you need to uninstall it first by clicking Start>Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs (if you have XP) or Programs and Features (if you have Vista or Windows 7). Wait for the list to be populated and select the ArchiCAD application. Click the “Remove” button or “Uninstall” button and follow the uninstall wizard. To complete the removal process, you need to restart your PC. Once you have logged back in to Windows, run the installation file by inserting the installation CD or download it from the Internet. This will make sure that you have new copies of the program files of the application that will repair the errors. However, the errors might still persist. If so, you can resolve them by cleaning out your registry from registry errors.

Release Notes - ArchiCAD 16 Hotfix 4 (Build 3827)for BIM Server and ArchiCADThis Hotfix fixes a large number of ArchiCAD 16 bugs. Additionally it will make ArchiCAD 16 CodeMeter license borrowing work with CodeMeter keys upgraded to AchiCAD 17.
The hotfix applies to all components: ArchiCAD, BIM Server, BIM Server Manager, BIM Explorer, MEP Modeler and all other GRAPHISOFT distributed Add-Ons and Goodies. It applies to all (Commercial, Educational and Trial) license types.

About the installer:
The Hotfix process will automatically search your computer for instances of three applications (in this order):
  • ArchiCAD 16 (including MEP Modeler, and all Graphisoft add-ons)
  • GRAPHISOFT BIM Server (including the BIM Server Manager, automatically installed along with the BIM Server)
  • Standalone BIM Server Manager (This refers to the standalone BIM Server Manager, a separate application which can be optionally installed from the ArchiCAD 16 DVD)

If ArchiCAD 16 and/or the standalone BIM Server Manager are found to be installed on your machine, you can choose to either update it or not.

If the BIM Server is found to be installed on your machine, it will be automatically updated if it is not up-to-date.

If ArchiCAD 16 is already up-to-date, but one of the ArchiCAD components (e.g. MEP Modeler or EcoDesigner) is not, the installer will indicate this and you can choose to update it.

Important Note for Teamwork users:Working in Teamwork requires that client ArchiCADs, the BIM Server Manager and the BIM Server all have the identical version number (or “build number”).

If you are running a client ArchiCAD whose version number is different than that of the BIM Server, you cannot continue working in Teamwork until the same hotfix is installed for the BIM Server. (The same is true for all the other client ArchiCADs working from the same BIM Server.)

Therefore, if you decide to update either a client ArchiCAD or a BIM Server, be aware that you must update all clients and the BIM Server so that they share the identical version number.

Installation steps:
  • If the BIM Server is running on a computer that has Windows Server 2008 R2 or Small Business Server 2011 as its operating system we strongly recommend to manually stop all BIM Server services prior to applying the patch.
  • We strongly recommend that you disable any virus checker and turn off all of your network connections (both via cable and wifi) for the time of the BIM Server installation.
  • Make sure you have administrator rights on the computer. Make sure none of the ArchiCAD components are modified (e.g. renamed). If you are updating a BIM Server, also make sure that you are logged in as the user who installed it originally.
  • When you run the hotfix package, the process will automatically search your computer for instances of the three applications listed above. For each of these applications found on your machine, you will be informed of its hotfix status (either “is up to date” or “can be updated”).
For ArchiCAD or Standalone BIM Server Manager:
  • If you have multiple copies of either ArchiCAD or the standalone BIM Server Manager on your machine, then the installer will automatically find one copy. If you want to update a different instance, you can use the "Browse" button to locate it. You will need to run the installer multiple times to update each copy of ArchiCAD / BIM Server Manager.
  • If the installed ArchICAD or standalone BIM Server Manager is found to be not up-to-date, you also have the option not to update it: click “Don’t update [program] now.”

The update of GRAPHISOFT BIM Server works a bit differently:
  • If a BIM Server is found to be installed on your machine and is out of date, it will be updated; you have no option to skip the update, unless you cancel the entire Hotfix process.
  • Only one BIM Server can be installed on a machine, so there is no option to browse to a different program location than the one identified by the program.
  • Just before the hotfix is launched, the Summary Panel displays information on which programs, in which locations, will be updated.
  • The BIM Server will be stopped automatically, during the time of hotfixing the BIM Server application,  projects will be suspended. Clients must be patched before they can teamwork with the newly hotfixed BIM Server.
  • If you want the BIM Server to start automatically with the operating system, check again the "Start BIM Server with Operating System" checkbox in the BIM Server Preferences dialog.



List of bugs fixed in this Hotfix:
  • 157126 API: could no longer reserve another element as part of a reservation event/edit action.

If you installed Archicad 17 with Wibu protection you might need to install Java 6 separately in order to run Archicad with your key. WkConfig requires Java 6, so if it is not present on your computer use Java 6u32 installer from the above list.


Archicad 16 Hotfixes

If you are installing an Archicad 16 Hotfix on Windows platform, Java 6 will be required even if Java version 7 has been already installed on your computer. If Java 6 is not present on your Windows you can download and install from the links above. The two Java versions will not interfere.

If you are installing Archicad 16 and Java version 7 has been installed on your computer, the installer (or un-installer) of Archicad will install the required Java version 1.6.32. The two Java versions will not interfere.

If you are installing Archicad 11-15 and Java version 7 is installed, the installers (or un-installers) of Archicad won’t work. To make them work:

  • Temporarily uninstall the version 7 Java:
    • open Control Panel
    • Add/Remove programs
    • Remove Java 7
  • Install the one from the previous list for the version of Archicad you have. (In most of the cases when you install Java version 7 (1.7) the old Java version will be kept, so you only need to remove Java 7 in order to make the GRAPHISOFT installer work.)
  • Install/Uninstall the Archicad version.
  • After that you can reinstall the original Java version from: http://java.com/en/

FASE PRE-BIM

Antes de implementar la metodología BIM, los proyectos eran diseñados en un programa de modelado 3D, con entregables generados únicamente en formatos 2D como .dwg y .pdf y de esta manera, se realizaba una coordinación con las diferentes especialidades, sobreponiendo cada uno con la arquitectura y enviando las observaciones pertinentes por correo electrónico.

LA APUESTA A BIM Y AL VDC (VIRTUAL DESIGN & CONSTRUCTION)

LLEGA OPENBIM

En el caso del área de arquitectura se decidió trabajar con el software ARCHICAD de GRAPHISOFT, incluso desde antes de implementar la metodología BIM, ya que así los resultado toman menos tiempo y son más eficientemente mediante la vinculación de todos los segmentos de diseño tales como modelo, plantas, cortes, fachadas, entre otras.

Al tener una interfaz intuitiva y amable con el usuario, la curva de aprendizaje fue rápida, aspecto atractivo para el equipo de trabajo al estar dentro de un proceso de cambio y adaptación a metodologías nuevas.

ARCHICAD es pionero en el tema BIM, ha sido desarrollado desde sus inicios como una herramienta para arquitectos y ha entendido las necesidades de éstos a lo largo del tiempo, lo cual es evidente a la hora de service error 5100 canon y construir un modelo.

De igual forma, en la especialidad hidráulica se optó por ARCHICAD con su extensión MEP, ya que la misma herramienta permite trabajar los sistemas de instalaciones y facilita la comunicación entre estas áreas.

Por otro lado, para el detalle estructural, se eligió TEKLA STRUCTURE de CONSTRUSOFT el cual permite llegar a un nivel de detalle LOD400 a través de modelado paramétrico. En estructuras metálicas y de concreto permite coordinar el proyecto, llevándolo incluso hasta la gestión, definiendo los procesos constructivos y teniendo en tiempo real las cantidades.

En cuanto al cálculo y diseño estructural, se escogió SAP2000 ya que permite realizar análisis de diferentes tipos de estructura sin importar el material en diferentes grados de complejidad. Sumado a que, dentro del gremio se encuentra bien posicionado, lo que permite que las discusiones con las entidades encargadas de las revisiones no se centren en la herramienta si no en el proyecto estructural como tal.

La razón principal para elegir estas herramientas, es su posibilidad de ser interoperables, permitiendo tener un flujo de trabajo colaborativo entre el modelista estructural y el diseñador.

IMPLEMENTACIÓN BIM

El flujo de trabajo actual consiste en tener una comunicación permanente entre todos los actores del proyecto mediante las plataformas BIMCLOUD y TRIMBLE CONNECT.

El área de arquitectura inicia con el diseño de esquema básico y lo socializa con el cliente, se aprueba y se pasa a la etapa de anteproyecto. Una vez aprobado el anteproyecto error ga error #1009 nivel arquitectónico, se socializa con el área de estructura y se da inicio al diseño estructural.

Los dos modelos generados en la etapa de anteproyecto (arquitectura y estructura) son coordinados y se realiza una tercera socialización en la que intervienen los especialistas técnicos para iniciar los diseños.

En este momento llega la etapa de proyecto, en la que se coordinan todos los modelos entre sí y se genera el reporte de colisiones hacia cada especialista, quienes son responsables de realizar todos los ajustes pertinentes en los diseños.

Por último, se realiza la entrega al cliente y la constructora del modelo federado, archicad java error, junto con planos en PDF y memorias de cálculo del proyecto.

FASE POST-BIM

En la etapa de diseño, BIM ha permitido tener un trabajo colaborativo entre el equipo reduciendo los tiempos de ejecución de los proyectos en este proceso. Al trabajar en un programa BIM el margen de error en los planos generados ha disminuido, ya que al cambiar o ajustar cualquier elemento, se ve reflejado en toda la documentación vinculada al proyecto, teniendo la información actualizada en tiempo real.

  2. Under Power, select Configure Switchable Graphics for Applications
  3. Click Add Application, add Icad or MSEmbed to the list of applications, and then choose High Performance instead of Power Saving.

NVIDIA graphics card

  1. Right-click anywhere on the desktop and choose the NVIDIA control panel.
  2. Click Manage 3D Settings.
  3. Click Program Settings and add Icad or MSEmbed. Change the preferred graphics processor to High-performance NVIDIA processor.
