Error messages produced by the application itself are mostly useless in Wine, we need Wine's error output, which you can only get by running the game from the terminal.

That being said, have you followed the how-to found here: http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=16616&iTestingId=40524

Installing Unreal Tournament GOTY

I would like to run Unreal Tournament GOTY. I'm currently running Red Hat 7.3, and the Gnome desktop. I have a Geforce 3 card, and installed the latest drivers from Nvidia.

I downloaded the 436 GOTY installer from Loki games.
The install went fine, but when I type ut I get the following error :

I did several searches online, but didn't find anything that will help fix my problem.

So I just installed kentie's launcher and when I try to join any server, I get this error:

Any ideas how to fix this?

miniMTL230?
Try removing that. Because it's not released and it might be causing problems.

I don't have it. I'll try removing from cache tho.

Edit: deleting it does nothing, it just downloads saab error code p0300 again and then crashes again.

derp, sorry, I read the last log lines, thought you had miniMTL230 installed. dint realize that log was of you joining a server.
so wait, it works? I mean, you said it happens when joining a server, so DX gets launched? can you play SP?

Well, his local DX can start because it doesn't need the mod but when launching the game, it loads miniMTL and then it obviously crashes.
Soo. Gardens of THC is hosting a miniMTL version that runs on the server but crashes the client?

Are you talking about D3D10?
This might be old/outdated news but I don't think it works with MultiPlayer, in any server.

No, I can't join anna servers either. This has only been happening since I installed the kentie's launcher.
And I just mean that I haven't tried other servers. D3D10 renderer was working fine for me before I installd kentie's. Also, I installed newvision along with kenties, app error readfile beyond eof 0+4/0, could that be the reason?

Add -localdata parameter to the exe. It tries to create Cache folder and cache files inside, but fails either at one step or another. His launcher uses its own settings folder and almost all App error readfile beyond eof 0+4/0 players who have tried his launcher tell me they have this problem.

If you manage to configure the folder so that the program is allowed to create and write files-folders, you can also use its custom directory.

His method of doing it so was mainly for the purpose of allowing more than one windows user to have their own game settings. Not entirely sure why he needs to write cache folder in the new directory, though.

Also, D3D10 renderer works in DXMP indeed but not on all video cards or operating systems. His website lists the prerequisites.

the problem was the file, "otpUIfix.u" I think it was corrupted. When I app error readfile beyond eof 0+4/0 off the gui scaling, i didnt get the eof error, but as soon as i entered a server i got insta kicked. I remove that file and then im fine, app error readfile beyond eof 0+4/0. But the ui is huge and ugly af.

Does anybody have kenties, and is able to play in server with the gui scale fix?
