Windows Release - AdGuard versions

One of the best things about Christmas is that everyone gives each other presents! So here’s our humble gift to you: AdGuard v for Windows. We hope you’ll like it, because we put a lot of effort into its development.

This version features improved ad blocking (thanks to added support for scriptlets and new modifiers), some major networking improvements and a new option to activate AdGuard via your sprers.eu personal account.

[Added] Scriptlets support

Scriptlets is a powerful ad blocking instrument. You can say that scriptlet is an internal script (a mini-program) that we install with the app, and then execute that script with the help of filtering rules. Putting it simply, scriptlets allow us to modify how the code of the web page behaves. As for the practical use, this helps to fight adblocker circumvention, for example, and is also useful in some other cases.

[Added] $redirect and $rewrite modifiers support

They are practically the same modifiers, and they allow to substitute resources. If you are not a custom filtering rules aficionado, don't bother with it. Just know that it is yet another instrument in the hands of filter developers that helps to block ads more efficiently.
We should mention that both $redirect and $rewrite modifiers are still kind of working in test mode, but they are fully operational and you should feel free to use them.

[Improved] Proxy mode can now be used alongside automatic traffic filtering #, #

Previously, you had to choose between using AdGuard to filter all traffic on the current system, or setting it up as an HTTP proxy to funnel traffic of particular apps or devices through AdGuard (but without filtering it).
Now you can have the best of both worlds, and even more: filter application and browser traffic on the current PC and at the same time use AdGuard as a filtering proxy for other devices (yes, now their traffic will be filtered too). To select the configuration you want go to Network settings.

[Added] Activating AdGuard by linking personal Account #

activate_license_ag_account_en

Something we’ve tested in other AdGuard products and found positive feedback is an option to activate AdGuard by linking the app with your sprers.eu account. In this case, instead of entering the license key, you put in your Account credentials (login/password). The app automatically looks for a valid license key in your Account and uses it to activate AdGuard.

    We are all ONE!

I tried some of the solutions that offered you, but I think what was my problem was caused by the presence of the index on an external hard drive and when the computer has been restarted the drive letter of the USB drive was not the same.  If I remember well, it was a problem that I wasn't yet able to rebuild the index.

I now have the index on my hard C at the level of the root drive.  I was about to point to the other half of a 16 GB flash drive which is also USB, but Windows Vista Home Premium does not only because it appears that are considered removable flash drives, but external USB drives are not presented in this category.

Currently I have about 74 items indexed.

    No probs.

Though even this is not for your laptop, it has fast storage to Intel for chipset driver, it uses (ICH8M-E/M SATA AHCI Controller) you can see under the required System Configuration

    Here

This is for XP 32/64 and Vista 32 / bit. And Win7 32/64 bit

It is version It may not be the latest version out at the mo. But his more later than the version installed

You can either double-click SP, then follow what it says on the screen, then restart. Then see if WU works

Or an extract SP with something like 7-zip / winrar (select Extract to SP\). So, it extracts the files in folders.

Then go to the entry SATA in DM. Go to the driver tab / driver update / browse computer / let me choose.

Point to the folder that you extracted. Then the folder the folder drivers then the x Since you are using bit. And then click OK. It may show ICH8M-E/M (if it captures previous drivers / or if there is already an entry of controller for ICH8M-E/M). If you press ok / then following to load the drivers for it. Once he finished update the SATA drivers, restart

    Then see if windowsupdates works

Looks like you need to .net framework (or higher) for this. Don't think that you need this if you check out the file, and then add through the DM tho. If you double click on the file

I suggest you to check if you are able to access Windows Update service and ensure that the following services are started. If it is not started, follow these steps:

    a. click Start, type sprers.eu and press enter.
    b. search Windows Update.
    c. right-click on the service and select Properties.
    d. in type of startup, select enable.
    e. click Start under the Service status.
    f. click OK.
    g. Repeat steps c to f for the following services:

    Background Intelligent Transfer Service
    Cryptographic services

If the steps do not help to solve the problem, you can go ahead with the methods mentioned below and check.

    Method 2:

How to reset the Windows Update components?
    sprers.eu

    Method 3:

Your anti-virus software is in conflict with Windows updates. You can test this by temporarily disabling your antivirus:

    Disable the antivirus software
    sprers.eu

Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

  • No wireless networks not found on laptop - the WiFi windows service does not work on this computer

    Hello

I have a laptop model Toshiba P running Vista home premium and a lynksis WRT54G V8 router model.  The WLAN light is solid and the internet light flashes on the Linksys.  I have Comcast cable as my ISP.

I've seen reported similar problems.  All of a sudden my wirless acess stopped working, some networks are displayed and I get the message 'windows wireless service does not work on the computer.  I am not able to restart the windows wireless.  I can't connect to the internet on the laptop.  I have a DELL PC and can access the internet here if necessary.

In the network and Discovery Center, I see that network discovery is disabled.  I can't set it to on.

Under system devices, I have the following network cards: Intel (r) Wireless WiFi Link AGN and Realtek RTL Family PCI - E Fast Ethernet NIC (NDIS).

Help, please.  I'd appreciate any help.  I need a good starting point for resolution and wouldn't start using suggestions that corrects other issues.  I design financial systems and purchase online, but I'm not a technical person with regard to updates Vista, drivers, etc..

Thank you! After reviewing the responses to similar problems, can anyone suggest if I should try one of the following values: 1. run SCF/scannow at the command prompt I don't know what that's going to fix it and do not want to make the current problem worse. 2. download the driver for the network drivers. If you would be grateful if someone could help me find the driver and download it. 3 reinstall Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 since the restoration of Toshiba CD I would appreciate greatly any information. Donna

    Hi blondswede,

You can try running sfc/scannow to see if you have corrupted files. That won't be a further problem on your pc. After that, you want to make sure you have the latest drivers for your laptop, especially drivers of the NIC (network card). Go to the following link to Toshiba for your model and download those:

If you're still having problems, and it has recently emerged as a problem, you can try to restore your system to a point in time before the problem started to use the system restore. Here are the steps to follow:

      1. Click Start, type system restore in the search box, and then click System Restore in the list programs. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click on continue.
      2. In the System Restore dialog box, click on choose a different restore point and then click Next.
      3. In the list of restore points, click a restore point created before you started having the problem, and then click Next.
      4. Click Finish.

      The System Restore tool

If the problem you are experiencing started occurring recently, you can use the System Restore tool. Using this tool, you can restore the computer to an earlier point in time. The tool using System Restore may not necessarily help you determine the problem. When you use system restore to restore the computer to a previous state, the programs and updates that you have installed are removed.

To restore the operating system to an earlier point in time, follow these steps:

The computer restarts and system files and settings are back to the State they were in when the restore point was created.

    Hi, Rob.

I worked my way through all the tips, but could not solve the problem. (I do not stop my AV - Avast - as it is also used on my laptop, which has never had a problem.) Finally I, reluctantly, created a new profile and copied all my files across, and search now works as it should.

    Best regards
