• M476dw MFP: the 49 service error

Tried to print something the printer network today and the Panel of the printer just shows "49 Service error, switch off the power, then press. So I did and tried to print again, but got the same thing.

I downloaded the latest version of the software of HP and installed but have not seen any different.

I found the solution with regard to logging on the Advanced tab and turn off everything not necessary, but that did not help me.

I printed the page diagnostics from the front panel (so the machine can still print things), but nothing has jumped out to me. It's basically a bunch of numbers in any case. I did the same thing for the configuration report, and which did not contain anything that could be useful for debugging.

I tried to disable WiFi and simply connect via ethernet, no joy. Still the error.

I tried disconnecting ethernet and printing via a USB cable instead. Always had error 49

So I reset the printer to its default value, and now he has an ethernet DHCP rather than static I would manually assigned before id. Still no joy, even if the symptoms are a little different now.

(1) I click on print to a PDF file

(2) I don't see the PDF through the printing on OSX El Capitan system and be sent to the printer

(3) I see the printer accepts the file, showing the "print document" on the front panel

(4) the printer returns to the home screen without printing anything and OSX it's printed.

So far he has been a reliable printer, of course, he begins to act up right after that its warranty period is over...

Anyone got any ideas? I don't like the idea of paying for a "single-use" support contract and said (as others have apparently said) to it reboot again and again with increasing delays between reboots.

See you soon

Simon

First I will open a parenthesis, you must still pay for electronic devices with a Discover credit card that doubles the manufacturer's warranty.

Secondly, is it always the same file that is causing the error?

What is a 49 Error and how do I fix it?

In general, a 49 service error is a situation where the printer cannot process a file that has been sent. In some cases the file is corrupted and in other cases the printer’s firmware simply cannot interpret that file. In either case, to resolve this issue you should try the following:

1. Turn the printer off and check the print queue for the last job sent. Delete that job and turn the printer back on. The remaining jobs should then start to print. Keep in mind that if several users are sending to that printer it can be any one of them that sent the corrupt file.

2. In rare cases there can be a printer issue. In order to determine this, the Ethernet cable must first be removed from the back of the printer and the printer restarted. If the printer boots up to ready and you can perform an internal print such as a configuration page, chances are that the printer is working fine.

3. There are times when you will not see any jobs in the print queue yet when you power the printer on and it comes to ready the data light will blink and a 49 error appears. Be assured there is some kind of data being sent to the printer. In this case, you can try initializing the print spooler. In some cases the printer will need to be reinstalled using a new IP address.

4. In rare instances that the printer is at fault, the most likely causes are the network card or the formatter.

Hi NebraskaPierre,

By your post, I see that you have found a Service 79 error on the printer. I can help you.

Make sure that the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet. (do not use a hub or a surge protector) This ensures that the printer is full on and can help this situation.

This can be caused by malformed PostScript documents.

Follow these steps:

Locate the power switch on the bottom of the printer.
Turn the printer off position and COUNT to 10.
Turn on the printer and the system should be all together.

Try printing from another application to see if you have the same problem.

If a print job from your hand repeatedly causes this error, this may indicate a problem with the print job.

Try to split your document upward more before they print it.

Fix permissions of the drive on the Mac:

The problem: Prnter will not print anything at all, even a test page. It will not copy anything either. Low memory - cancelled job message comes up / have worked perfectly for 2 days, 49 service error, and then it started.

Printer is connected via the network (wired), but I have tried wireless also.

Software is installed on a machine 49 service error 10.

In addition to the windows machine, print requests are sent to her through the network via an iPad and an iPhone. HPeprint is also used.

Troubleshooting: I did the following in trying recify problem:

Printer disconnected everything on during 30 seconds.

Reset the default printer

Redid the installation of the network via the touch screen

Deleted printer in windows and deleted driver packages. Reinstalled using the supplied software. Also tried to install using "add a printer" in windows.

Possible corrections that do not go to work or to me:

Put in place as a printer IP - he loses the feature and choose 49 service error in addition to the drivers manually to scan etc.

Connect via USB to the computer - if I do this do not lose the ability for the iPad and iPhone to print on the printer - or at least makes this dependant on the computer is turned on and sharing put 49 service error place

I will say that after I tried to implement the prnter using "add a printer" in windows, I couldn't get the printer to print the test page - nothing happened, but did not get the memory error message. I removed from the print queue and even deleted all the files in the subdirectory of coils in system32. ButI cannot get rid of the printer now under "devices and printers" in the Panel.

Help, please! Pulling left what my hair on.

Thank you

THIS PROBLEM HAS BEEN RESOLVED.

After several weeks of rtying many different things to fix problems

(1) after installing the new modem Arris double band by carrier Internet, printer would no longer. First issue was an error of memory. After reset printer would no longer at all

(2) I 49 service error installing and uninstalling printer wireless in several ways, ethernet and USB. Printer would never even print a test page. Attempts to print the pages of any other report or configuration would result in the 49 service error

(3) BrightHouse (carrier) was 3 separate times to tweak the modem, try to uninstall and reinstall the printer, 49 service error, etc.

The problem turns out to be that with some modems, HP can not communicate over IPv6 with modem you (they don't play well together using IPv6) either because of the HP or the modem, HP likely due to the fact that he always seems to be HP printers with this problem.

Here are the steps I took finally solved this. Please note that the solution came from a technician BrightHouse to a different Web site. I'm just passing along the info in case it helps others:

(1) completely uninstall the printer from the PC, including the printer, he installed all the software, drivers and all the ports that you may have created trying to recify problems

(2) to shut down the computer

(3) disconnect the ethernet cable from the printer (as applicable)

4) click on the reset button on the home screen to reset to the default values for the printer

(5) do a cold reset the printer (people of email support the HP for the procedure)

(6) on the interface of the printer (screen), go into the settings; network settings, network services. Here you will see IPv4 and IPv6. Disable IPv6. Don't mess wth IPv4 (leave it on).

(7) plug the ethernet cable into the printer or activate/configuration of wireless settings using the printer (screen) interface.

8) turn on the computer

(9) install the printer using the CD that came with it or installation software downloaded from the HP website.

I'm not sure that each of these steps is absolutely necessary, as step 4, but that's what I did.

I saw so many messages on the internet with HP printers not install correctly and launch a 49 service error instead. Not sure how those problems, This applies. But HP needs to fix this issue with their printers IPv6 or at least try to find the cause.

I have a jet laser pro M275 get 79 service error. TRN and always on the same message again. Changed ink crt printed now.

Hello Gmom25,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! I see that you run an error on your HP Laserjet Pro M275 "error 79Service". Go ahead and try a cold reboot:

(1) disconnect the power supply to the printer.
(2) hold the symbol (*) & enter buttons simultaneously and switch the power on.
(3) wait until you see "Permanent storage init" msg (I think that this is but not sure the exact msg) and then release both keys.

If you still receive the error after the reset, have a look here: Solving of control panel Messages, 49 service error, according to table looks like this error may be related to the Firmware.

In my view, there was an update sent 2013-11-06, which includes many improvements and fixes. Please select your current operating system in the drop-down list, click Next and under the Firmware section to try and install the update, if you are able to get out of the error state.

• Service error 49 - Turn Off, then on - LaserJet Pro 200 M276nw

I was the addition of another post for a different printer but didn't want to Miss anyone with MY printer problem.

UPDATE * (at least for my LaserJet Pro 200 M276nw)

I found the cause but will need help from someone at HP to "solve" this one.

My new guard M276nw throw a 49 Service error, CAT has given a lot of power, voltage on, wait, try again blah blah blah, blah blah fuser problems. 10 minutes from the forum search put me on possible wireless network issues with other printers and the SSID. Anyway after regaining a printer Staples and saw the problem coming up again on a new another brand., 49 service error. I tried the search Forum and Tada! at least I was able to find a cause.

I have a D - Link DIR-825 wireless router. He has dual band (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz).

Normally I enabled for the multitude of devices that people have these days in my house.

I updated the firmware to the last update (20121026) and then restarted.

Roger restarted shortly after error Service 49.

Then I disabled the two strips to test each independently wireless band.

The printer acted normally so I decided allow each band separately.

When I turn on the 2.4 GHz band in the router, 49 service error, the printer immediately throws an error in Service 49.

I tested several times (5 to be exact) and every time when the router restarts the printer says error.

So, I left off 2.4 GHz band and then the 5 GHz band.

I activated the band 5 GHz 3 times and turned off and found no effect on the printer (at least in a 5 minute window).

So now I'm left with only a single band wireless router or printer who likes to turn on every 20 minutes or more.

There is probably a setting (or 2) which can be changed in the router or printer that can prevent this (I hope).

I just need to find the right person in HP.

I should have updated this thread I'm sorry, 49 service error, but I found myself updated the same problem on another thread of printer M251nw, since someone has answered that one. I have to keep that one thread - sorry, but it seems to me that I just heard another as well, but for a m475dw as well. Maybe the same problem that I don't know.

Anyway to update my m276nw situation: After experimenting for a while try to limit I decided to eliminate the possibilities by disabling my router another suggestion of posters to remove the printer from the wireless environment and reset to factory settings. So 49 service error turned off my 2.4 GHz band in my router (leaving 5 GHz active), reset the printer and it was sitting still (no reset), he even went to sleep normally, 49 service error. I turned on the 2.4 band and the printer immediately threw the error repeated tent kept the same result no way to leave on the 2.4. The next day so I decided to check my router and 49 service error 2 year old firmware. It took several updates to get current and on the last I didn't reset the printer to the factory again and there's no error yet. The printer acted normally for a week, he normally sleeps and wakes. It was turned off (on purpose) a few times and everything seems normal.

I have not activated wireless again since my house is wired and I could really do without wireless capability, but eventually I want to know.

My DLink DIR-825 router is still active with both tapes, but using the latest firmware, like the new printer (the other). Is all this took?

Perhaps.

• HP Laserjet 2420 printer range: 49.FF05 Service error

Hello

I have a HP Laserjet 2420 printer and it happens with 49.FF05 Service error.

Now I can access some menu items through press and hold down the arrow key and do a reset of the cold etc, now with this work not she also throws 49 service error message "Printing work Inprogress". I tried that cancel in the printers menu, 49 service error, and the printer will not install on my PC even with the drivers installed so that I can't use the printer with my PC and try to solve the problem .

So the printer has a pending print job I don't know, also I tried exchanging the DIMM module in other slot and vice versa, but not luck.

Does anyone know how to fix this error without using a PC.

Concerning

Gammyray

It could be anything from a trainer blown just a 49 service error job corrupted.

Test: Disconnect the network cable and perform a cold reset. If it's ready, it was probably just a bad impression. Delete everything in the print queues and restart the PC. It should work OK.

But: If it still gives an error 49 with no cable and restart cold, you may have questions that can be more difficult than the unit's worth (depending on how well you expenses of local repair company). You can always buy a trainer on eBay and try to install yourself.

Work around: go to printers remove the printer. If you can find out which IP address has been using the printer, the printer manually program and to use another IP address. Do not re-use that one. Reinstall the printer.

Chances are that someone was trying to print a document based 49 service error the web. Files PDF Online is the culprit #1. #2 are weather bulletins. #3's etc, etc, 49 service error, because whatever it is printed from an online source can trigger it.

Make an update of the firmware on the printer. This will help 90% of these questions. Then, inform those who need network print or web documents to save to their hard drive first, close the document online, open the saved document and print from there.

Service error 49 - Turn Off, then on - LaserJet Pro 200 M276nw

• RESOLVED - "49 error turn off then" HP LaserJet 400 M451dn

Last week, I set up not one but 2 printers HP LaserJet 400 M451dn color for a client. It was 2 because I went first to the provider think there is a fault with the printer showed a 49 error randomly, but when I got exactly the same error on the 2nd and the same printer with a different provider, I thought that this may not be the case.

What I found was - I set up the printer with a static IP address of 192.168.0.218 and excluded this address in the DHCP reservation list, so it is not assigned to another device. If I turned on the printer without the LAN cable connected the printer would say "Ready", but as soon as I connected the LAN cable, it is when that would throw a wobbly and appear "error 49 - Turn off, then on. I tried to reset the default printer without joy.

THE FIX here IS (or should I say a work around) in the following order:

(1) remove the LAN / network printer cables.

(2) to reset the default printer.

(3) remove the the 192.168.0.218 of the server DHCP reservation.

(4) delete the IP 192.168.0.218 Server lease.

(5) connect the LAN cable to the printer.

(6) can get a new IP address from the printer. Using the same IP address again you go back to step 1 again.

(7) that's all.

For some reason, this printer does NOT set a static IP address and put a reserve on the server. Nuts!

I installed several HP printers that I have in the course of the years and never encountered this problem. As I mentioned above, this is more than a solution to a genuine problem.

Hope you guys find this post useful.

I had exactly the same problem with a M451dn of 400 LaserJet, except in a working group with the router making DHCP, use a static address outside DHCP for 2 days and then pool this week had error 49, noticed that when the Lan cable has been disconnected, he seems to have stopped. Printer changed to use DHCP and it works again. (updating the firmware via USB had no effect)

Hi @green_wanderer ,

I see that you are having problems printing via the wired or wireless network after restarting the computer, the printer icon is grayed out and showing not connected, but can always print from other computers. I want to help you solve this problem.

Is the installation of the printer wirelessly or through an Ethernet connection?

Make sure that the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet. (do not use a hub or a surge protector) This ensures that the printer is full on and can help this situation.

I would have to power cycle the router, the computer and the printer to see if it will help.

Print a configuration page to check the firmware version and see if you have a valid IP address.

If you have a valid IP address for the printer, then try and access the webserver shipped off dpkg error code the printer, to see if the printer is still on the network. Type the IP address in the address bar of your web browser. (Internet Explorer)

The IP address of the port on the computer can be different, if the printer has been assigned a new IP address of the afer by restarting the computer. You will need to create a new port, or run the Add Printer Wizard.

Other computers that are still able 49 service error print could have the port configured to print if IP address changes.

Print a configuration page to obtain the IPv4 address of the printer and the date of the firmware. Printing a Configuration report.

Hello

I'm new to the forum.

I have a problem with my Laserjet Pro 200 with a message "memory is low. Cancelled work. »

I read the other posts with similar questions and tried to do a hard reset to turn on him for 30 second and turning point. The message always appears.

I tried to update the firmware, but the printer says that no updates are.

I use a Mac Mini running on 10.9.5 software. I tried to update the firmware via USB, what has not worked at all.

How can I access the memory of the printer and clear the whole print or add memory to the printer?

I read your post and see that you have found an "Out of memory" error when you try to print. I will definitely do my best to help you.

• LaserJet Pro 200 M276NW color does not print more than once; application freezes

Hello. I had a problem with Laserjet Pro 200 color M276NW my family when printing from my desktop Windows 7 (64 bit) for quite awhile. The first time I print a document after starting my computer, it prints the entire document very well. However, the print jobs will simply freeze the program that sent them (for example Outlook, Opera, etc.) on a screen ' print the page of. Also, I can't print a test page in Windows when the first task is completed. I finally realized that it probably has something to do with the spooler service in Windows, or in the print queue, 49 service error. When I look in the queue after printing the first document, it shows that the paper in it, but the new job that froze my app does not appear. After I restarted my computer, I can print a document more before I have to restart again.

The printer is networked on our home network; It is not connected to any computer via USB, and in my opinion, is the connection to the ethernet router. My computer is connected to our network via a wireless connection. I tried to restart the spooler, enter the IP address of the printer in my web browser (which works fine and shows the right page), and everything else listed in the Help article. Try to open the printer properties in devices and printers does nothing.

To complicate, the printer won't even print the first work since I got on my computer and I tried this today. Also, I got exactly the same problem on my laptop, which also used Windows 7 and connected to our home network wireless. The laptop now has Linux on it instead. I tested several printing on it earlier and 49 service error print very well.

My father, who has a wired connection to the router, 49 service error, told me that it is able to print more than one job very well. I just had my brother (who also has a wired connection) print two different documents, and it has worked very well. This leads me to believe that there is somehow something to do with the Wi - Fi computer assigned to the router, in combination with Windows 7, 49 service error, apparently.

Moon Raker, starting with the sounds like it is a driver problem, 49 service error. I want to start to be sure that deleting the software and relocation happened in the best way possible. I want you to follow my steps, 49 service error, I can be sure that we start both on the same page.

Hi all

I just bought a new LaserJet pro 200 color MFP M276nw and I am trying (for 4 days) to coorectly install it.

My goal would be to use it via the wifi connection and I put it correctly by the façade.

When I try to install the printer on wifi, I can install the printer driver, but I can't find the driver for scanning.

I tried to connect by ethernet and the system to emphasize a multifunction scanner and the printer driver. If use them, it works correctly.

Whenever I go out the lan cable for use in wifi it lose the scan functions.

What I am doing wrong?

Hi @gianluigi1982 ,

I see that you have problems 49 service error scanning via the wireless network, but you can scan through an Ethernet connection.

I would like to help.

Do you have what drivers installed the printer? (Apple update or the 10.9 49 service error drivers)

I checked our laboratory with 10.10 installed on this computer and I was able to browse for printers and Scanners on the wireless network.

Check the version of the driver installed.

Go to the Apple preferences system, printers, and Scanners, highlight the Laserjet printers, click the print 49 service error on the right side of the window, and select the Options and supplies.
Under the general tab it will give the list the version of the driver.

Click on the Apple menu, click System Preferences. Click on Printers & Scanners, highlight the name of the printer on the left side and right side of the screen it should show the name of the printer. (MFP Laserjet Pro 200 M276)

If the full name of the printer is not correctly, delete and add the printer name back from the list. Click on the sign - to remove the driver and then click on the + sign to add the driver might have to drop-down list to select the name of the printer to add 49 service error click.

In the printers and Scanners window, 49 service error, highlight the printer on the left side, to the right of the window, 49 service error, you should have a print/scan tab, click Scan, and then open Scanners and test scanning, 49 service error. If you do not have the scan tab, let me know.

Have you added the printer as your Hello or via the IP protocol? (cannot scan through the IP Protocol)

You use the automatic IP address or your own static IP address?

Here is some information for scanning in OS X v10.10 Yosemite without software HP.

Please provide detailed results if you're still having problems.

Good day!
Thank you.

• Color LaserJet pro 200 M276nw: color LaserJet pro 200 49 service error M276nw network installation problems

Set up the printer correctly. Has chosen to use the Wifi option. Wireless computers are able to print to it without problem. Went do my first scan, and it tells me to set up printing to the network drive, 49 service error. So I will do this, and the software HP on the host computer (with USB connection) told me that it can configure not unless that is the printer is connected to a network.

Obviouslly, it is connected to a network.

Then disabled Wifi. Is turned off the printer. It connected to the router, 49 service error. Running. And still get the error message. Besides, 49 service error, cannot be found in the menu of the printer (on printer) where I can "setup" a wired connection.

I'm a nerd of the computer, but for some reason i gots the mute today. Some advice would be appreciated - about the printer that is.

Oh. You say to add the printer a network rather than USB printer. DOH. So simple. Thank you!!!

• HP5550 68.0 "permanent storage full" followed by "49.4C02 error" "keep turning off & then on."

End users reported a 49.4C02 error. They had cycled power on the printer error code and the error code persists.

I went to the printer to see what was going on.

I noticed that a few seconds until the 49.4C02 error appeared on the screen of the printer, there was

a 68,0 error "permanent storage full".

I tried a cold reboot, but it did not help.

Could not watch all print jobs in the print as I didn't know what was the address of the network printer.

The display was frozen on the 49.4c02 error.

I was unable to print the configuration page to find the IP address / number, 49 service error, so I couldn't determine the printer to look at.

I found a solution.

I examined the service manual and found an article on how to initialize the hard disk.

I expect that this might help as I was getting a storage permanent error 68,0 full, 49 service error, a few seconds before the 49.4C02 error appeared.

In all cases, it couldn't hurt to try.

So I power cycle the printer.

The count of memory at startup, I pressed the MENU button and held it until the 3 LIGHTS all light up.

I then released the button MENU.I hit the button the arrow (return). The screen of the printer showed a

INITIALIZE the DISK on the screen.

I pushed the button tick to accept the initialization process.

The 49 service error displayed/hidden between a few different views, then on the READY screen appeared.

Printing all seemed to have disappeared, but at least the printer is online and functional again.

Not sure how happy the end user who has had a print job in printing, but I was happy to have the operational printer again.

2) sleep (the printer is ready to accept any work, even wifi, before any print offers email ePrint) - power consumption about 13 watts
3) idle (done printer does NOT work on wifi, NOT to print the ePrint e-mail offers, 49 service error, wake up within the parameters of 49 service error function of AUTO ON-OFF AUTO)-about consumption 6.5 watts
4) off to switch manually (no operation) - on the energy consumption of 0.2 Watt
All of this is correct?
Thank you

Hi fabris66,

If I understand correctly you want to know if the printer must be in mode standby in order to receive an email using eprint.

Yes, the printer must be in standby mode or on and connected to your home network.

Hope that helps.

• Color LaserJet Pro 200 M276nw: color Laserjet Pro 200 M276nw install problems

My printer seemed intemitently impression not so I decided to uninstall and reinstall the drivers. Everything was going well until the installation process decided to scan the network to the printer. My computer is on the network and able to conencto to the internet and printing is on the network - wireless to the printer status page says and sees the router. Not sure why he does not see the installer.

I never could get the recommended pilot plant to work (in the same network error [10054] cannot set date following all steps). Instead, I downloaded the "base" drivers on the site. Then, I went in adding printers (in Windows features) and manually punched the AutoRun.inf. Fully managed Windows from there.

Hello.

I wonder if a tech-savvy person would be able to recover scans of the internal memory of the all-in-one M276nw?

As in, is it possible that confidential info of the analyses could be recovered by the unit once it has been sold, 49 service error, recycled, etc.? I wouldn't see my Bank and that operations that no info there.

I guess it's not as simple as pushing "get it back" in a menu, but someone with a material and ill intentions would be able to sort?

If it is possible, how do I clear it?

Thank you very much
