Research positions
The SPRERS team invites PhD or post-graduate students and researchers, residents of old member states,
to join the team in its research efforts in the field of software services
for a limited period varying from 2 weeks to 9 months.
The subject of interest are:
- Cloud computing
- Web and Grid services
- Workflows
- Scheduling techniques
- Ontologies and semantics
- Agent-based services
The expected benefits for the secondee are at least:
- has the opportunity of widen the career and personal development
- acquires valuable experience in project execution
- is able to test and apply specific skills in a different organizational environment
- gains new skills and experiences in challenging areas.
The work to be performed during the stage will be associated with an on-going research project from the following list:
- mOSAIC, in Cloud Computing APIs and PaaS, started in September 2010
- HP-SEE, in HPC services for Earth Observation, started in September 2010
- GiSHEO, in Web and Grid services for Earth Observation, and scheduling techniques, until 31 December 2010
- SCIEnce, in Web and Grid services for symbolic computations, and workflow techniques, until 30 April 2011
- DEHEMS, in Web services for energy monitoring, until 31 May 2011
- InfraGrid, in Cloud Computing IaaS, until May 2011
- Pegaf, in Web and Grid services for numerical computations, and ontologies, until September 2010
- SCIPA, in semantical-oriented software services for adaptive business processes, and agents, until May 2011
